Other than machines, can you share step-by-step videos how to build a furniture using these machines (from cnc nesting flat table till finish product)…i love your videos, very useful and inspiring :))
Thanks for this. We are a tiny but growing shop and have been considering this for the two reasons you mentioned. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts.
I'm revisiting this video to say i have adopted your philosophy into my small shop. That being, "Fix what bugs you and one small improvement every day." Thanks for the tour....again! Michael
is there a reason you dont run the entire 8' or 10' lengths through the unique, and then cut them to size? Haver you thought of getting a second Shape and Sand for squaring them after they're built?
I just got a quote from one of the supposed best Chinese CNC companies (Quick CNC), and it came to about $19k. That’s for a brand name Italian HSD spindle, Yaskawa servos, Hiwin rails, Becker vacuum pump too, 12 tool atc, syntec controller, heavy 8mm frame, etc. On paper it’s a pretty top tier spec, and at 18k, that’s like 10% of the cost of a Homag. Is it as good as a Homag? Definitely not. But it is seemingly amazing value? Yeah. The problem I encountered shopping for a Chinese CNC is just the sheer amount of options you have on a site like Alibaba. There’s hundreds of options and most of them are a bad idea to buy. You really need to spend time researching and contacting companies for more info. Quick, OMNI and StyleCNC all seem like pretty good Chinese options
Hey guys I've been binging your content and I absolutely love it. Keep it going! I have a very specific question about how you handle one piece flow that I am hoping to get some guidance in, because I would love to streamline my shop to as close to a one piece flow model as possible. How do you handle a cabinet that has multiple colours of edgebanding when doing one piece flow like in the video? We are a custom shop and colour matched edgebanding on the faces of our boxes is standard. When we are a white melamine box with white doors/drawers, we can get away with just using an international white edge or equivalent. But we mix custom box colours as well. so it is not uncommon that I am running say a charcoal box or a tafisa karisma wood grain tfl, with a matching banding colour for the internal components / bottom of uppers, plus a solid colour for the faces. I know of two logical solutions, but neither will work for me - 1. Dont do colour matched banding to the doors/drawers, just match the boxes 2. Set up a second edgebander I'm curious how you handle this? Thanks boys, keep crushing it!
Great video! would like to know if you will be making a video on how you setup and use your asana system to work with your system, it sounds like a lot of tasks and it would be great to know how you organize them! thanks for sharing!
What an innovative team - amazing job ! We love your videos, maybe you would want to look into adding one of our robotic arms to your shop. It would be great to collaborate 😃 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MOxkkFGXI0g.html
The device to check the squareness on the doors and floating shelves is quite interesting. Is there any such thing for double checking cabinets? Size and squareness?
Hi Tyler love the videos, I currently run the larger horizontal machine (bhx500) but am thinking about getting one of these for a different line because of the foot print. Stiles can give me a time study but I want to know real world times. What do you think processing time is for a side (wall, base, and tall) with a cut out for the toe.
Where do you guys get all of our logo/business name decals that are all over your shop on the different machines? Are tou making them yourself? Or are you buying those from someone whonis making them for you?
I don't have a store crane thing... but I like the idea of stickering the material... hadn't heard that one before! I've tried making a relief cut or shallow pocket on the back, but this would be faster overall. Thanks for the knowledge!
do either of you cut much TFL material? Black specifically, I have a problem with two of my CNC's when loading from the table to the bed due to the sensor issue with the black TFL. Ever dealt with something like that? Great shop btw!
you never answered the question of how you were able to cut all the way down to the bottom, we are having trouble with drawer box dados being on the bottom side
