Worf didn't de-evolve...his genetic code was spliced with some Klingon creature. Barkley for example got mixed with a spider, and Troy transformed into a fish-like creature from Betazed. I like your explanation nevertheless...makes still sense, even without that Worf example.
I just saw a preview for SNW, season 3 and I can safely state, that this video's series of events are so thoughtful and respectful of Star Trek continuity, that if Kurtzman and company should ever see it, they would not appreciate it. With that, I sincerely hope that future showrunners of Star Trek watch this video and take serious notes.
the borg are organics trying to bcome the perfect 'machine' -- either evolution, or a 'mistake', a dead end that keeps on happenning to tech using beings in the universe an itweration of which has gotten out of control and spreads like a disease. The borg described data as 'perfect'. in the wider star teck universe, successful species seem to evolve to be energy beings... organians , an the 'q' (which may be evolved humans)
They don’t look that different that we have to come up with any theory. They also look like the reboot movie versions. The new design is cool and I think represents what they would really look like, not just a design that’s easy for old television. I see it as more anything that doesn’t align or that you don’t like simply happens in an alternate dimension.
That doesn’t make sense. Discovery Klingons are prior to Kirk and TOS. The movie Klingons are the “default look” ones, and look more human, so they would be the re-evolved versions. The discovery Klingons would be the more traditional pure blood look.
The Terrain Empire collapsed before the Deep Space Nine time period. It wouldn't have been the Terran Empire, but good try. I suppose it was a good try, considering how this all played out by the end of Season 5.
When you realise that both Miles O'brien & Julian Bashir first mentioned Klingon genetic engineering and viral mutations in DS9, it actually happened in ENT (22nd century era), indeed!
Four years on and Discovery has run it's course. Zora and Discovery were sent into the nebula in the mid 32 hundreds by Admiral Burnham, there to wait out time indefinitely. It is easy to think that Zora has been in the nebula for a thousand years so mid 42nd century would be reasonable. However Control has long gone so she's not hiding from that.
There’s like 6 different types of humans on planet earth that all look vastly different from each other. Look at how many different breeds of dog there are who are all the same biological species. Why would any alien species all be identical and not have different races? Of all the criticisms of Discovery, the criticism of the Klingons is the most ignorant one.

The original version of Klingons were more gritty and realistic…John Colicos ideas were the best. He based this version on Ghegis Khan..and it worked. The added make up was just too distracting and being dramatic in acting was impossible with the turtle head make up….
This is very interesting. Even a possible back door the new Paramount could use to reboot the series with a new crew. How about the first AI to captain a starship. After 1k years Disco and Zora are one and the same.
to be honest that entire short film of calypso never really made sense to begin with. I believe it was just a random put together between seasons that had no relation to anything. There was no explanation to why discovery was just cased out into space to be alone, even in the final episode of the show it wasn't explain. maybe I have to go back a rewatch it. it a red directive, that mean nothing. there was nothing behind that information wise. it just another thing in discovery fashion, just like the whole show, oh we are just doing it for now reason at all. it makes no sense in the end and now they wanted (the creators) to give it meaning. Yeah, that's pretty stupid but expected. the show itself wasn't that great. it did get better at times, but it never truly felt like a real show. Some of the characters were better than others which helped it along, but in the end, I don't see the point to this. If someone out there can explain it to me, please.
Would your well-researched and informative hypothesis explain the Klingon Albino? Yes, I know there have been adapted non-canon stories. But I like your explanation better. I wonder if SNW will include "The Albino [Klingon]?"
This didn't age well and all things here are answered. Burnum takes it to the Nebula flys home. Its left there until Humanity is at a level where the ship can be on the same level. Section 31 coming out soon.
I don't know.... V'draysh might refer to the federation. V'draysh was briefly mentioned in Discovery episode 3.02 by Zareh "A one-woman tactical response? V'Draysh has officially reached its nadir."
The writer of "Calypso", Michael Chabon, confirmed on Instagram that "V'draysh" is a syncope (a type of linguistic distortion) of the word "Federation".
This video is 4 years old? Interesting that we seen now at the end of the series, captain Burnham takes Discovery to this mysterious location to wait for something far into the future. Maybe in order to rescue the protagonist in this short episode. Maybe, he has some very important part to play in his time. I really like this actor and would love to see him leading in a Star Trek series of his own.
Well it is all revealed now. Zora is the sphere and they are in the far far further. But what was the red mission that she had to be alone for 1000 years? Why federation left her alone? They wanted her to be free again like when she was the sphere? Who knows.
My question is will the USS Discovery come back for a movie set in the 42nd Century after the Calypso story? Would the maker of the enigmatic technology that predated even the Proginators themselves and perhaps many more ancient civilizations as described by the Proginator, possibly return to remake the lost gateway or possibly remove the gateway out from the primordial blackhole into space since they are advanced enough to make a tech that survived Billion or even Trillions of Years until the timeline set after the Calypso took place in the 42nd-century timeline and set to make another huge wave all over again. I mean if they are beyond Dimensional Beings their gateway could even survive a black hole and even they as the creator of that technology must still be alive somewhere beyond the multiverse taking their time waiting for another story to take place? If the Enigmatic Prehistoric Primordial/Precursor Race was so advanced what technological level would they must have attained? Did they still keep on advancing their technology or did they suffer the same problem as many sci-fi races go through called Stagnation? So many questions to ask, so many questions left un-answered!
