Electric DNA was created out of Dallas’s love for PEV’s, specifically riding electric skateboards. DNA stands for Dallas & Aimee, we are a PEV-riding couple based in Phoenix, Arizona. Our goal is to spread the stoke ⚡️⚡️
@ELECTRIC-DNA I heard that before that those boards are outdated but the reviews say the boards are good. I'm in San Diego and miles boards are too so if I had issues with it I can drive to them and not wait for shipping. What do you recommend? I'm looking for $1g longboard with good specs and good customer service.
@geoffnavolt1970 there are so many different options and variables with boards it’s difficult to recommend without knowing more information This is my approach when recommending or deciding on a board. 1, what’s the use? Commuter, off road, fun rides, grocery getter etc. This is the most important step in my opinion and will guide all of the other decisions. If you pick a specific goal or set of goals for the board you’ll end up with a good fit, requiring hopefully minimum changes. 2, what type of wheels/tires do you want. Pneumatic vs street. 3, what types of trucks? DKP, RKP, TKP, Channel, 3links 4, keeping your size and terrain in mind, what kind of range do you want without charging? 5, what kind of speeds do you want to ride as your fastest, then add a little. So if you want to be able to do 30mph occasionally it’s good to get a board that’s capable of say 35mph imo. Think of it like maxing out a 4cyl vs middle of the power band in a V8. Answering those 5 questions after some research will get you closer to picking out a few boards I’m sure. Then you narrow down those based on price, customer service, etc. If the price is too high for what you initially set out for, you begin to make some changes/compromises. But you can decide if you want to lose a little range or speed etc to lower the price.
@ELECTRIC-DNA I made up my mind for 2 boards. Sex panther or the evolve gtr carbon street. Gtr has 3000w per wheel but it goes little slower than sex panther with 1500w per wheel. Wonder why? How do you like the gtr over sex panther?
Honestly surprised that the linnpower is only 0.1 second off the brp’s. Really affordable price point too! I’m a lil more excited for the 3 links mad is gonna be releasing soon. Would you be testing them out anytime soon?
I think it’ll come down to the rider, the surface and the conditions. But overall I was impressed with the grip for sure. I might be testing them. I’ve ridden them already on the monsoon and can tell you they are extremely capable.
Nice. I was the first ine to get the slicks in USA for testing and had to make s spacer sistem to work with the sprockets but it was complicated to find parts to work with it, this adapter makes it all very simple
@@ELECTRIC-DNA yeah.really big thanks brotha, the comparison vs. The Bishop wheels was something I really wanted to know, tou should do the same test but using the meepo tubeless, a friend thinks it's got better control while om the slide, you can also use them on those hubs, thanks again. Brotha!
MAD tubeless wheels are available now in two configurations. Meepo tubeless tires for $350 and Linnpower racing slicks for $365. MAD Links will be coming soon as well as wheels/trucks combo package!
wow growing up in South Florida seems to have prepped me for a trip to Thailand. Hot, humid, wash your own clothes, hang them to dry, cant buy beer on sundays or after 2 am, or 4 am, or at all depending on the city. Italian food in the US is not Italian food in Italy so I totally expect Thai food to be totally different. So far the dishes the Thai women have shown me online look nothing like what is served in the US. Dont wear shoes in my house so that's an easy one. Wondering about the piping if they laid it with cast iron and thats the real issue. Toilet paper falls apart like crazy once its wet so it being too big, in a 1 wide pipe shouldn't be an issue. Getting caught on broken pipes yeah I can see it adding up. Fixed those issues a few times. Gross.
Would you just have binding in front or back/front so to jump high and safety? Or for cruising around, no binding at all so you could move, dance and so on this board? Wish they had a binding that you could take on and off, adjustable side to side, back and front and angles. I'm sure it will be made and I'm thinking this must be a great idea, just to click it on and adjust? Take this with you and see/hear if someone would go for this idea. Could be used on any boards and it would be a hit. If you take this idea and it becomes real, you sure will get money in your pocket bro😊👌👍. I don't know companies, brands, people who makes since I live in North-Norway, Tromsø, lol. Anyway, hope someone will do this, and I'm sure it will happen sooner or later. Take care
I’d love to see something like that. I prefer a binding in racing and even use one on my regular street board (named venom that’s also on this channel). I’d you haven’t seen the bindings by tomiboi esk8 , look them up. They provide great leverage but are also very easy to come out of in a fall.
I have a Lacroix that I use to commute to work 7 miles each way and want to more stablize at higher speeds for longer times 40-45mph. - What is the best trucks, similar to these 3 links and what tires/rims would you recommend? Wonderful video thank you!
Thanks for watching. Using 3links with angled decks is doable but gets tricky with fitment. You’ll need to do some solid research to figure all of it out. If you’re after just adding more stability you may want to look at adding a wedged riser in the rear, reducing the truck angle.
@@ELECTRIC-DNA Wonderful reply thank you. Yes, I noticed HeathLewis had a make shift wedged riser on his board as he maintains the highest speeds out there if not the world record Lol Does anyone know where one can buy a wedged riser? or do you think buying new trucks with built in angled plates like Randall, Bear, etc is better than hypertrucks?
@jpaulglobal Amazon for a riser. It won’t exactly match the shape of the truck but I’ve used one like it before and it worked fine. 3d printing is also a great option if you have the ability to
@@ELECTRIC-DNA Sweet action. I'll try the wedged riser first for speed stability. Any idea what angle should be best for most high speed stability on Lacroix w/ hypertrucks? And do you think channel trucks are best for high speed stability
It’s not for everyone, but for esk8 racing it’s the top dog at the moment. Comparison to Honda groms is pretty random as they serve completely different purposes. Thanks for watching.
@ELECTRIC-DNA yea well I build Diy electric skateboards and ride Ebikes and motorcycles so that's why the comparison. It was relevant to me, and people watch reviews cause its relevant to them. That price is ridiculous, especially if you're not really a racer like that or not competing regularly.
@@astrofizz8383 agreed on those points. It’s 100% built for racing. There are plenty of better value boards for everyday riding. But for on track this really isn’t outrageous. I’d encourage anyone to add up the components on their own and you’ll begin to see the SRB isn’t making a killing here with all things considered. $4140 before batteries is pretty reasonable when the math is done for what you get.
@@astrofizz8383 I was lucky enough to be invited to race with one at the electrify expo in Phoenix. It’s an excellent board that has the bones of a stooge race board. Id guess it’s around a third ish the power of a V5. For the average person that wants to race it’s plenty for short track and is going to be an excellent option for the sport. Have one on order as well and will eventually have it on the channel. Almost like the spec Miata of our sport in a way.
I have a regular two and one board do you think these trucks make enough difference to spend the $360 and get the new ones coming out by Meepo? I’m not a speed demon, but I just really love good carving and not worrying about speed wobbles even though I rarely top 25mph
Hope after this video, more peple start to thinking about technical design of their board and not just on visual look. When I was focus on weight or high from road, it looks like I was speaking some different language. Nice video, Nice explanation specially for non technical persons. Nice race board🛹🤘
I was able to race on one at the electrify expo. I think it’s going to be an excellent entry race board. I’ll have it on the channel at some point as well.
You really broke it down well. One thing to add is the way it turns Like a car, the rear trucks just helps the lean, and you right after riding a stooge board it feels weird riding your favorite board again. Lol. Great Video Bro. Thanks for the shout.
Very interesting video. Stooge board or at least 3-links were always my desire but in this review you said it’s more footwork then bodywork for steering. I’m into esk8 from alpine snowboard and in all my setups I tried to eliminate the possibility of easy steering with my foot. I think I will go the poors man way and order meepo 3-links to build up my own opinion.
A very detailed and positive video about Stooge, it's truly an exceptional skateboard, but I imagine a review should also include the negatives. No skate has only positives, and the entire review feels like you're trying to praise it in every aspect. I miss constructive criticism, and without it, I have a hard time believing all your enthusiasm. Even Stooge has its issues (like any machine), such as motor heating or the really fast wear of the gear drive, or other issues I'm not aware of since I don't own it myself.
the negatives are the positives. it's an uncompromising race board. it's a high maintenance, low range, low to ground, expensive, high speed machine, no flex. impractical for almost any other use for a electric skateboard outside of a track. honestly it's the standard everything is compared to in racing
Great review, it really showcased the advantages these race boards have over other production boards in competition. Having nearly 40 horsepower under your feet is actually pretty wild.
thanks for this amazing and detailed review. I've always wondered what's different about these race board and you answered every single of my questions!!
For many this board is going to be epic. You’ve never been able to get this level of a track focused board for this price point before. Game changer gets thrown around a lot, but I believe this truly will be one for our sport.
It was a good heads up to go through and lock-tight all my bolts after getting an S3 as my first eboard. Thanks for the vid! 100% same problem and saved my ass.
Hey very informative video! Racers would need to consider this device if they want toget serious about quicker lap times. Have u heard of Racebox micro? It appears to log the data on memory and cell phone xan download the data. This would eliminate that 15ft connection issue and not needing to keep a cell phone in your pocket. It's only on kickstarter right now... not available yet.
