My mate a 76yr old Bosnian ex military taught me this 20yrs ago. Twice, as a last resort this has ended their aggression and rocked them 20x my usual swing. Didn't fracture my hand like i tend to do
@@solomartialarts May I ask you about your opinion. I think You Know That many people are critzicing this kick… „should it be banned in mma …?“ What do you think? Good technique or too much risk of permanent damage ?
@@YannickGl I can understand a reason for why you would, and why you wouldn't. If can cause a great deal of damage , just the same way as a 'Knee bar', if person doesn't tap in time. Even getting smashed in the face by an elbow can create serious damage. The way to combat the knee stomp (hyper extension ) is to have the knee facing forward , leg bent, but that means you cart use a side stance, so by having it as a target it's forcing athletes to choose what to protect the most against. and the type of fighting stance to take. Some play the rules very well, to their advantage , like if your hand is on the floor , no knee to the head. - very good question you asked my friend 🙏
Hi - thank you so much more commenting , you are 100% right , its' a constant practise to refine and remember to keep your hands up not matter how tired you are.
100% agree ! good spot , something young lads are always working on , keeping those hands up, they were tired by time I took the video lol - thank you for commenting :)
@@solomartialarts hope you know I meant no hate, I’ve quite literally recently been hit with a 2 while I was moving back and loading for an uppercut during sparring so it’s just something I noticed, the 2 comes faster than you think when they’re moving towards you. All love bro
@@eliermaxwell5910 Hi , sure I can do a video for you , in this video above it just how to hold pads for a jab, cross , liver punch .. i can do another one.
Amazing video, Thank you so much! I have been sparring in kickboxing for two years now and I have very long legs so I love front kicks but I keep hitting my toes and find myself discouraged to throw them even tho they work super well for me. I cant wait to start doing this exercise so I can terrorise my sparring partners at range even more! ;)
Hi , thank you for your feedback , makes me so happy this video has helped you. do let me know how you get on with your practising .. hah the long range front kick , go get them ! ;)
Hi .. thank you for commenting , I'm not sure I understand your question? In this video , where using a stationary boxing combination ( no head movement or footwork ) to practise striking. In kickboxing / boxing there are many foundational techniques learned using numbering systems 1=jab , 2=cross 3=hook. so you learn combinations that use the natural winding of the body. example: 1, 1-2 , 1-2-3, 2-3, 2-3-2, 3,2,3 etc. later you learn how to use the same side performing and right cross into a right uppercut, or a lead jab into a lead hook punch. This fun sequences mixing techniques up from performing alternate side , to same side strikes (Jab, lead hook , cross, uppercut , hook, cross. Is that what you were asking ? - many thanks 🙏
If you do move your head into your arm aren’t you also moving into his power hand side ? Like can’t he just follow up with a cross or uppercut since you go into his back hand side?
Hi tony , thank you so much for watching my video and taking the time to comment, i appreciate it. Everything in combat wether its sport or self defence is about timing and distance . i always tell everyone , you need to pressure test things for yourself to see what works and what works best for you. The part were I move my head inside the arm ( end of the video ) for me would be entering in, meaning I'm not awaiting for the punch to hit me, I'm entering inside the arch of the punch and my cover would become an elbow strike 9 not allowed in boxing , but its all apart of filipino boxing, I like to mix the two) ). Once inside you are correct you are still open to a attack from the right side, however because your inside the range there attack would now have to be a circular ( hook, upper, over) you always need to be mind-full of this , and protect yourself at all times and be constantly moving, never a sitting target. - Thank you for feedback 🙏
Inside and outside trap are for different uses, to attack different kinds of guard. Maybe an idea to specify that in your video. And the last combination was technically not a good combination. Other than that, Great demonstration!
Brilliant! Yes Thats often something overlooked that, Why train with a traditional weapon? Because the movements can be applied and your hand speed will be increased.
