Actually, the evidence is that the human pathological result is usually a mix of nature and nurture but also that - some people are simply 'bad code' and there is little that society, social engineering, no matter how well intentioned (and through bad research misinformed) can do about it. Cannae lie my dude Villeneuve's Chani honestly ruined part 2 for me. Movie Chani is inconsistent with the character of Chani from the books and the message of Dune itself. Movie Chani just felt like she was recreated to just please a woke audience which is a terrible excuse for ruining something so iconic, especially when the source material is one of the godfathers of the sci-fi genre, and the source material has such a deep philosophical message/lesson behind it.
See this one the cases where black vs white morality in the show doesn’t work. I know that plenty are getting tired of grey vs grey in tv shows. Given that it will be difficult to know who to root for. And this were many misses the point. I don’t think we’re supposed to root for either side. Which might cause some feeling apathetic towards characters. And I think that is what the writers were afraid of. However, people forget that war is ugly. It doesn’t give damn who was in the right. This is a tragic story, yet I don’t feel any tragedy happening. All deaths feels so anticlimactic. Anyways I find it amusing that the writers tried making some characters “likeable”, and ended up making them boring.
The fact that they had the opportunity to have the queer Nyra plot line with Leana (I’ve been told it’s in the books) and they not only ignored it but ignored Leanna’s character almost entirely drives me mad.

Daenerys in the show is even worse than her book counterpart, the fact that she got half of the major and minor houses on her side smells like "the plot demmands, the plot gets even though it makes no sense", it makes no sense in the story, with her track record of failings almost everyone should have declared for Aegon.
The writers admitted that they didn’t want to make Rhaeicent stans disappointed that’s why they made several scenes together and perhaps there will more in S3. ffs the writers are too woke or too stupid, just bring back Miguel and sack that hess
As always most Hollywood writers wants to satisfy the woke culture audience which they are like 3% of global audience 🤡 serve the story not the political, in GOT days there were never something like that, what happened!!?
I did appreciate the world building. It showed that repairing and launching a giant ship takes months and hundreds of people and great resources. (Not just saying build me a thousand ships)
No sane person could see the Joker as a hero. But second movie was DEI and "wokeism" shooting itself into the foot because they need an enemy. Yet no sane person see them as a threat.

It’s not a question of when but IF. I personally believe that, like a relationship, Martin ‘checked out’ of the GOT book series a LONG time ago. It’s clear by the number of side projects he’s gotten into and TV show producing. He’s not interested in finishing it. He wants money.
No one seems to mention this, but due to the writer’s strikes, they were generally shooting on 1st draft scripts for the whole show, they couldn’t write more and/or make revisions. So no wonder the script was a total dumpster fire that lacked direction and conviction.
I dislike the way they did Chani… buuut they changed Paul too. In the book Paul does marry Irulan but he declares to everyone that his love for Chani is absolute and he will love only her. Irulan will just be a tool to „legalize” him ascending the throne of Emperor. Furthermore PAUL DID NOT ORDER THE FREMEN TO FIGHT THE LANDSRAAD. That is the one change that I reeeeally have a problem with. In the books the Fremen do it themselves, as Paul’s religion spirals out of control, but here HE is the one to directly cause the Holy War, thus in my opinion greatly weakening the message of the books. I hate that change a lot…
