Strathpeffer Junction is a developing fictional OO gauge model railway set in the 80s/early 90s Scottish Highlands. We’ll publish videos following the layout build, general railway modelling tutorials, DCC electronics, re-sprays and scratch building, reviews, old locos and heritage railways.

Strathpeffer Junction came to be following a spinal injury that I picked up while white water kayaking. While I recovered from some things, other symptoms never resolved and I've been left mainly stuck at home. I had to find a new hobby that could fit around my disability, and rekindling my love for model railways was a perfect fit.

Not only has railway modelling given me a focus and keeps me busy, the community has been so supportive and friendly, it's an absolute joy to be involved with. I try to release new videos on Strathpeffer Junction as often as I can, but if my symptoms flare, as they all too often do, sometimes there may be gaps.
