I have upgrade since I bought that dashcam and I'm glad I did. I upgraded to a REDTIGER touch screen dash cam and I couldn't be happier. It's amazing. Please check out the video I reviewed, it's much appreciated: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nhkPbBHqbj0.htmlsi=rTKeU3rVCQUDCKPR
@@snakeNP215 this one is a million times better. It’s more advanced, up to date and better quality. I like it so much, I bought a hardwire kit for it in which I’ll make a video when I get the chance, hopefully soon. 👍
Hello Paulie, have a question for you it anyone but figured since we have the exact same car...my climate control doesn't kick on with remote start and I was wondering if yours or any 1RS trims do. I've heard both and the dealership is acting like they have no clue what I'm talking about and want to keep it a week for diagnostic. I found that several reported this and a TB went out supposedly to all dealships but these people didn't lift a finger to look or research... Anyways is it a feature on yours? I would appreciate any feedback
Good question Dean! It's been real;ly hot lately in my region, so when I parked my car yesterday, before I went in, I set the fan and air conditioning on high. When I used the remote starter from about a 30 second walk, I got in, the fan was running but I don't think the cold air was coming on until I switched in on with the key. I noticed it again today. If this is a TB, I would like to find out about this too!
@@ItsMePaulyC I don't think my other response made it, but I appreciate the quick response...yes same issue...I'm in Texas so yeah I was hoping this feature is available in the 1rs...pointless if not ...
@@syeedali1364 I've had a few dash cams and find it hard to conceal the front cam on these cars. The one I have now, the rear you cannot see other that the wire which I still have to adjust. The front is very hard to conceal. I suppose you could install it right infront of the mirror, unlike I did. Feel free to watch the video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nhkPbBHqbj0.htmlsi=3_4oM8Fde8vJyr82
Hey man those are cool accessories! I had one of the retractable covers for our last Subaru outback! I liked it a lot I need to find one for our current one. Good how to video! I like watching someone else do it first lol thank you buddy have a good weekend!
Are you able to turn on the front overhead lights without the rear ones turning on? I’ve been having this issue in my 1RS. If I want to turn the one in the front seat, the rear also turns on
Unfortunately no. It’s one thing that GM should have had done for this generation Trax. My older 2021 had a switch on the back where you could turn it off.
@@ItsMePaulyC thank you for answering, wasn’t sure, a car crashed into me a few months after purchasing it and a lot of things shifted, so I wasn’t sure if it was due to the crash or if it was just like that
This camera was great while I had the 2021 Chevrolet Trax! I recently upgraded to a new 2024 Chevrolet Trax 1RS! New car, new camera! With that said, check out the new REDTIGER F7N Touch Screen! It's amazing! Enjoy! 😊.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nhkPbBHqbj0.htmlsi=Rq_mWBeUocnzGyCj
I just installed these and here is what I found: 1. They are light sensitive. If your daytime running lights switch is on, these are off when the sun is out. HOWEVER, if your daytime running lights are on and it is dark outside these lights will come on. 2. The yellow indicator lights work in any condition bright out or darkout. 3. So do not expect these lights to "stay on" on a bright sunny day. 4. Pauly C only tested these in a dark condition (garage and night time). Maybe you think these are on when you are driving around during the day but they aren't. 5. Pauly C is right. They will only work during the day if the park lights are on. 6. For some reason these disable the daylight running lights when the sun is out. if the daytime running lights switch is on, the round bottom lights are still off. So if it is bright out the dash board could say "day lights on' or "day light off" everything is off no matter what. -region: USA
I'm going to pin this comment to the top of this video. Thank you so much for this info, brother! I appreciate you going in depth on this. It means a lot and will help many with this mod!
I noticed the same thing. they come on only in the dark or when the auto light kicks in. If you turn your lights to on then both lights come on. I think that my regular DRL are on even if the switch backs are off when on auto. Will have to double check. - BTW @itsmepaulyc This and the LED interior lights were a great upgrade. Would love if we can figure out how to keep these switchbacks active when on auto during the day
Thank you for this! I got my Trax and looked at the front LEDs and thought I'd have to take the whole thing apart. Super easy. Thank you for the video!
Sorry for the late response. I had no luck with LED's regarding the brake/turnsignal and reverse lights. All seemed to mess up the backup camera. It would stay on. I haven't tried switchback for the brake/turnsignals, that might be my next attempt. As far as the front turn signals go, they are really successful! And the switchback LED's I used actually have little fans on them. Keeping everything cool. LED's are generally cooler and draw less too. Stock incandescent bulbs actually get extremely hot and don't affect the wiring either. Check out the video if you haven't: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-04nUPYVoo78.htmlsi=RZ7iiboeTttHpB_9
Anything can, really. This mod is so minor though. It installs directly to the positive terminal and draw very minimal power. And the ground is in the switch which is hooked tightly into the body of the vehicle making it pretty safe.
This is a “#shorts” video, only like a preview of a full video. Full video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g39qSzncMCM.htmlsi=k3iA3ZBb2Y5IChuX
After months of use, this is one of my favourite stoves! I like this one even better than my Coleman stove which is comparable to this type. It's more powerful and the heat adjustment is phenomenal!
Hello again I've just received my splash guards-mud flaps guaranteed no drill exact match to factory holes. When i opened box all Chinese writing & was a little worried but when I took out the first screws (torx head) they matched up perfectly ,it took 1 hour to finish not bad for a $30.00 expenditure, yes from ebay good luck everyone
Great video, what settings have you done in order for the camera to turn on and off when the car turns on and off? What settings have you done for the auto shut down and screen saver. Any help is appreciated
I kept the settings on default. When the car started, the device came on and shut off when the vehicle shut down. I installed a new dash cam as of late: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nhkPbBHqbj0.htmlsi=UYtQrLg0wRzUuU1Y
Do you have heated seats? Might want to be careful with seat covers. They will hold in the heat and damage the heating elements. It's in the manual.... 😕
