Great list! For food, I would say that if you're in Louisville, you have to go to the Brown Hotel to get a hot brown at the place it originated. For distillery tours, I recommend Maker's Mark because the grounds are so beautiful there and they do a pretty good tasting at the end.
Mine are all in one room. A couple cases of Blanton’s, lots of EHT small batch and single barrel, 4 Stagg Jr, 2 Elmer T Lee, some Remus V and VII, along with a few oddballs. It’s rare for me to have more than one bottle of bourbon open at a time. Right now, there are no bottles of bourbon open so I’m drinking mezcal. Kinda lazy (today) and have no desire to figure out what to open next. 😂
It's always good to see a bourbon and whiskey show. Your concept of reading text and compliments does not help the show. It makes it choppy and and does not have a good flow. Most people want to see your taste test and rankings. Not what Jimbo in Arkansas is drinking today. Or what football team they want. Slows down the whole concept of the show. Good luck.
Old Forester is my favorite distillery. 1910 and 1920 are always on my shelf but I hear from a lot of people and whiskey tubers that the new batches are not nearly as good. 😟
I condensed like four cabinets of plates, bowls, glasses, etc into two cabinets in my kitchen to make room for my ever expanding whiskey collection. I also have now started putting backup bottles in my pantry. This would most likely not be possible if I wasn't single lol.
Corry is usually more expensive than the oogie. The list seems about right. I may go back and forth between the corry and the oogie depending on the mood.
I’m starting to bunker the Russell’s 10 years with the older label. Not seeing many of those on shelves anymore. Theoretically there’s older whiskey in them. I’ve also found them to taste much better.
What makes that a true tater cabinet??? Don't feel bad at all about bunkering the things you like, especially when getting them at good prices. Those were all great bottles up there! That cabinet pretty much covers everything and the prices on your holdings will continue to go up. Nice!
Huge fan! Thanks for this video and reccomendations! I recently did a family road trip to KY and mapped out the same stops. Got lucky at that Bubbles in MO and walked out with a Found North Hell Diver. Keep up the great work!
That william heaven hill 17 is my unicorn bottle! I would do almost anything for that bottle!!! I have a M10 bourbon from 2020 funny to see you guys gave the rye from 2020
My only bunkered bottle is Middle West Pumpernickel Rye CS because I was apart of the team to pick it. I have also commandeered 3 kitchen cabinets. Appreciate the video
