I will help you create better Talking Head Videos! My name is Gabriel, I'm not a VIP, but I have Videos In Production (VIP) This channel is for us, content creators, RU-vidrs, people with the same passions, values and principles. We spend time as a great online community!
Hmmm. I turned down my C100 gain (if that’s what you mean by preamp) to 1 or 2 and the level from the mics when increased even to -0db still meant the level was too low. I think your idea of reducing the “preamp” level (you mean gain) is misleading for the users of older cameras.
Would you consider doing a video with an ATEM Mini ISO? I’m building out a podcast setup and just starting out. When I’m in video mode on the ZVE10, the live video feed cuts out but not in Picture mode.
Finally someone who mention the audio technica. I have the same model and I'm very happy with it. Obvious it's not a NTG3, but for the price is amazing.
Great shares. I already follow a few of these. One of my favorite camera/gear guys to follow is @MarkBennettCameraCrisis he's a fellow Canadian and just jas a great sense if humor and is honest with everything he covers. Now Gabriel, teach me the magic of finding time to watch all those channels, and read all those books! I still have a full time job, and creating never seems to get time for!
Hey! You have everything here about my lights and links in the description: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0tlREIt6d3E.html Thank you 🤗
@@GabrielVIP Thanks for the quick response. Another question, do you record directly in laptop using a capture card or record in camera. Is there a quality difference?
I record it on camera. You can use a good capture card like Elgato Camlink 4k but the quality will not be the same. Almost the same with a great capture card but the files stored on the SD card are always better.
Hey! I don't think so… If you have good lights, the quality will be ok, but you can’t compare a dedicated camera with a big sensor and a professional lens with an iPhone. The video can be good, but not the same quality. For RU-vid videos is okay the iPhone. Don’t worry about it.
Hehe, thanks a lot for the shout-out! It's very nice of you that you shared all these channels that helped and inspired you along the way. Cheers and keep up your good work on this channel! :)
Not quite sure where I am going wrong trying to copy your battery setup. I have the same adapter you do only difference is two things, one being the red button when held does NOT turn on the adapter, I can only click it and it shows battery level for 3 secs then shuts off but when I connect my USB c cable to it and then the other end to my camera, THEN the plate has an orange light on the back that lights up but it wont turn my camera on and I have no idea what I am missing. I have a USB-C to USB-C, the same smallrig plate + Batteries you have. What am I missing? I thought the battery since its connected via USB-C would take the juice from the battery and give it to the camera but apparently it doesn't and I am not sure what I need to buy or do to get my ZvE10 to work like yours. Can you see where I am going wrong?
@@GabrielVIP That's the weird thing. When I hold it, no light turns on but if I click it shows battery status/available charge. It has a LED Light on the back and when I plug in the USB-C cable to the adapter and then the other end to my camera, that LED light on the adapter turns orange which indicates it is now on instead. I don't know if I got a defective one or something. When I turn on my camera doing this (with the default sony battery) and it shows my battery is charging as its on which means that yes, the adapter is working but it just doesnt power my camera alone and needs a battery inside the camera and then it charges THAT battery instead.
I understand now the problem. The camera is not working with USB C without the battery. You need to have the battery inside. If you want to power it directly from the NPF you need a Dummy Battery. You can't power the camera without a battery inside.
I’m pretty frustrated with my system, I’m pretty sure my cable is defective after less than a month of owning it. Sounds the same no matter what settings I use(it’s not a good sound), and I’ve updated and factory reset and it’s still garbage
Hmmm. Do you talk about the 3.5 mm jack cable? Did you tested the internal recording? The internal is good and the sound recorded with the 3.5mm jack is bad?
Gabriel, I watched this months ago, and then searched for your guidance on how to use LED lights for background and hair light. I used your Amazon links, and I hope you get a commission because you deserve it. You are among the very best creator-educators on RU-vid. You should have 700,000 subscribers because your content is first class.
Thank you so much my friend! I really appreciate your support. I hope you managed to create what you want and achieve the. result you are looking for. Let me know if I can help you and congratualtions for your new setup :) Thank you my friend!
Hey! Thank you :) Glad you like it. What fluffy stuff? The black foam from my old studio? I don't use acoustic foam anymore... it doesn't do to much :)) It's a classic acoustic foam from amazon. About that are you interested? Thank you!
Very helpful. I’m going to have to set up my RU-vid studio in a corner of a small bedroom. Especially the lights. I don’t have room for big lights in my room. The bounced lights work well, I wear glasses as you do and there is no reflection in your eyeglasses.
Hey! Thank you and glad you like it! I also have a dedicated video about lights: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0tlREIt6d3E.htmlsi=oliakjnDHvA0vkGz If you have questions just let me know and we can find a way to solve the problems and find the best way to achieve great lighting in a small space :) Thank you and good luck with your new setup :)
@@GabrielVIP It was a good video. I just switched from DJI, and the Rode sounds better but audio is quiet. Ruined 2 pieces of content already as I learn lol
Hey! It depends. If you have a big space between you and the camera 5-10 feet, go with 30mm, if you want super wide go with 16. Both are great but it’s up to your space :)
Hey! I am not an expert on laptops but from my experience on MAC go with any M1, M2, or M3 PRO with a minimum of 16 G, and on Windows: a minimum of 32 GB RAM, Video Card NVidia RTX and a good, new i7, i9 or something better. 4K requires a lot of resources.
I only use in a studio and exclusively to teach in online classes. Sometimes I record a video in the studio. So, no sense at all do wair for mk2. If I think about upgrades probably is better Going straight to fx30
Hey! Yeah, for that application mk I is perfect. And I totally agree with you. If you want the ultimate camera for what you do, FX30 will be the best option. Thank you!
Hey! - For lights I suggest watching this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0tlREIt6d3E.htmlsi=Tt_gey3GbKVyV1uL - For settings this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5nB4WF6EhqA.htmlsi=fpbqe6MkOr5M7wZM - And for color grading this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fzdHCjjUaW4.htmlsi=Kks0QmvGQZRtn7Dx This look is a combination of lights, settings, and color grading :)
Which focal length lens will have the more flattering effect for the face ? I’m thinking of getting Sony ZVE 10 crop sensor camera ,I don’t need to be too close to the camera.
I am not 100% sure but I think 6 to 10 feet. I suggest to go on any camera store and take a test. Just try a camera with 35 and see what happens. Thank you!
Great video, any thoughts on the zoom F1-LP? I wouldn't mind getting away from the DJI wireless mics for in-cab, but XLR would not be a great fit for me. I need to have something that works for my cardiod headset mic, and then I would need to set up some sort of magnetic mount set up for exterior audio. The wireless set up is good, but sometimes it is cumbersome to set everything up.
@@GabrielVIP Yeah, the headset will plug in to the wireless mic to override the internal mic. I may check into the F1-LP and see if it will be a good fit. Thanks again!
