That fact that these were 16 year old kids that grew up together. They were actual friends not just dealers/gangsters. And you can tell when Stringer first told Bodie to drop Wallace it didn't hit him right away how tough it would be to do. Then he spends all day with Wallace tryna convince himself that Wallace was weak and he was doing the right thing. Just to get to this moment and realize just what he was about to do. And Poot, who from the moment he was told what was gonna happen kept asking why and was completely against the Idea of dropping his best friend, had to step in to not only show the crew that he was with them but show his other conflicted best friend that he had his back and they'd carry this painful job together... Just a GREAT storyline from a near perfect show. The entire story of Bodie, Poot and Wallace is simply tragic
I love how Brother Mouzone has zero lines here. Just an ice cold “you’re getting what you have coming, good day to you sir” type attitude. For Mouzone, this was all business.
in Matthew 5:17 Jesus (PBH) said, "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them" …read that again. What was the commandment that God told Moses( Musa? PHB) I am one God do not put one before me, or after me no associations for I’m a jealous God. That why we say. Ash-hadu an la ilaha illa Allah, Wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan Rasulu-Allah” "I bear witness that there is no God but God (and Muhammad is the Messenge
Wallace was reborn and went on to be successful and make history.. while Bodie died for a corner and poot worked at foot locker and faded into obscurity…
Just watched this on a rewatch. I know exactly what is going to happen and I get anxious in the build up. It's like I hope there is going to be another outcome but it doesn't happen.
Mouzone was a nice character addition. He was what we call in the streets, a ' righteous ' gangster. He spoke and moved like The Most High himself approved it😂
There's no such thing. A gangster is a gangster. Righteous is strictly subjective and if there was a "most high", we wouldn't be here talking about gangster shit in the 1st place.
Holdup so brother never died?? I been looking thru videos and have yet to see his final story... on another note 2 bitches lookin for a "party" with a puppy is wild lol
Stringer put them on this shit. “First kill should be someone he don’t know” is what Snoop said. Not the first time he’s shown lack of common sense like the Sunday truce and wanting to kill Clay Davis
The brilliance of this scene isnt the guy who yelled "Yo look at that lil nigga getting his ass beat". It's the writers who thought of putting it in the scene. This accurately portrays the ghetto projects. The fucked up immoral society and upbringing which desensitized them into finding depraved acts hilarious. Literally a little child was getting severely beaten & instead of wanting to help him. They found it to be humorous. An us as audience related to that humor through them. The irony is the only one who found it to be wrong & horrific was Namond who grew up in that setting. Having family & friends who all normalized it. Yet he was able to find reason with his conscience.
No morals. Ethics and yes there's a difference. Morals say, "stealing is bad no matter what. Since it is and I do it, label me a villain". Ethics say, "stealing is necessary for a crook to survive. So since we must steal, let's steal from the mouth of decadence; not from people who are just as poor as we are. We can't cut a pence 3 ways". Time and again, Omar was stole but he exercised restraint and temperance.
