3:19 Every time I see this shot, my eye is drawn to the mook on the left side of the screen, pointing at Goroh, as if to say "Look! The boss is doing backflips!"
When it comes to the full-on 3D arena fighter domain, nothing beats Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Xenoverse 2, Raging Blast 2, Kakarot and the lot. When it comes to the 2D fighter market, FighterZ has left an undeniable and peerless impact not only as a fighting game game but also as the best Dragon Ball game. But for there to be the DEFINITE best Dragon Ball ‘fighting’ game, which could easily stand toe-to-toe against the likes of Tekken and Street Fighter, it needs to be a 2.5D or 3D fighting game aka Budokai-style. And if we gamers can get a Sparking Zero aka Budokai Tenkaichi 4 after 20 years, I have hope that we can get the next Budokai game too. So let's call this new Budokai game Budokai Zero, or Budokai Ultra or Budokai Ultimate. It should have all of the following things. - the entire roster across all mainline Dragon Ball media, including the anime series, movies and games. - every character should have light and heavy auto-combos, coming out via tapping square or triangle, how they did in the Shin Budokai series. - certain environments/stages should be without a wall, or let's endless. For balance/competitive purposes it's not good , but as fun factor, absolutely should be there. One complaint from the mainline Budokai series is that it feels all fights take place in a box, and doesn't feel as expansive it could be, or like the anime. - Super attacks, special moves, transformations or any other status enhancing/altering install should have simple execution. And shouldn't involve more than 3 different button presses. - Juggling opponents for long should not be possible in this game. - Every kick, punch, grapple, physical attack should be updated or at least taken from the latest releases, like Burst Limit, Budokai 3, Infinite World. Make the game even more awesome by incorporating more and more flashy martial arts techniques, which are inspired from and exaggerated upon to give it that pure fighting game feel.
Friends and I would run 4 player splitscreen against an army of bots on hardest possible difficulty with buffed stats on skyrail. Hide in the gondola and snipe for dear life. We’d have sleepovers and play from evening to sunrise. Life was so much simpler.
Ahhh the memories from 2008 and ‘09. I was much more lighthearted and innocent. Not to say I’m not lighthearted or innocent these days. It’s just that the past few years have been challenging. The only struggle I had when this game first came out was homework from school. This game always has a special place in my heart. I even remember that before I completed the subspace emissary, I was trying to complete the Great Maze for so long. There were a few times when I thought the maze was just a goose chase or something. But one day I finally finished reviving all the fighters and went through the right door. And my prayer was answered that day. I finally unlocked Sonic as a playable character in the story and defeated Tabuu. And then the final cinematics played and I couldn’t believe that the sub space emissary was over. I still get emotional to this day. I hope there will a Super Smash Bros movie one day…. A Nintendo Cinematic Universe
Super Dragon fist, feet kamehameha,Kaioken Krillin, Super Human Krillin, potential unleashed Krillin, and Cell’s Spirit bomb are some of the moves and ideas Super’s anime and manga is missing respectfully😎💯
The prescience of these is astounding. Every single one could have been made by Cool 3D World and I wouldn't be surprised. Somehow, F-Zero GX predicted the end game of millennial humor decades before it metastisized.
I thought brolys ultimate was censored in the HD collection? Or it only shows the whole thing in the time chamber cause the ground doesn't break on that stage?
Poor James, man. He shows off some sweet, if not admittedly modest, moves for the audience, which boos him offstage just because he couldn't nail the backflip. Talk about a tough crowd!
