Thank you for visiting my channel! I hope to inspire you by sharing the many things I've learned through the years living life the thrifty chic way, enjoying the things in life that are of quality and value while saving money and spending hard earned money well. Here you will find delicious cooking/baking recipes (usually with a Carol twist), canning tutorials (if that's your jam), shopping (while saving money) hauls, health and beauty stuff, affordable home decor ideas, and lifestyle advice.
Where did you get the recipe. Thank you I have the same pectin. I will be making this jam in a few days when my peaches are ready. 😊 Ball website calls for 4c of peaches, so I'm not sure what to do?
@carol-thriftychichousewife6231 I am sure you are using a safe recipe. I wrote to Ball to find out more and they gave me this link that is well documented to make a few jars or more. Really good link I'll post it here if you don't mind.
So question! How did they end up staying?? Did any go bad? Have you made these again? Any recommendations or things you have changed through the years of making them?
I have used this recipe for many years and it is the easiest dough to handle. I had to find a way to make pies since the MIL made pies almost every week and I needed to compete.
What I don’t like about your video, is that you are anal in your recipe . The only thing that is (absolute) is death. Your strict rules of adherence is some what unreasonable. People of old, made do with what they had, and, it turned out fine. There is no need for you to respond, if you fail to understand what I am relaying to you, because any further communication would be futile, and, I don’t respond to ignorance, because I am allergic to it.
If you get a cold or flu, boil a jalapeno and drink the water. I swear the first time I did it set me on fire but burned a case of flu out of me in a couple hours.. When you feel the burn start to diminish, eat a bite raw seeds and all to keep it going.
Another winner, this is four or five in two days. Jalapeno's are actually rather mild even with seeds. I usually put four semi large cut up in a 4 Qt crock making chili with 2-3 habanero. If you dont eat them daily the plus is you can use them to creat a immune response when sick and smile as the germs run.
This year I made this blueberry sauce again. For breakfast this morning put moscato blueberry sauce over my home made sourdough waffles! It was sooooo good! I wish I’d invited a friend for breakfast. Next time I will!
Yes I saw that after I messaged you! I’m sorry! I also was wondering if you think it would be possible to grind the mustard seed in a spice grinder before you add the vinegar/wine to soak to make the finished product smoother? I tried 5 different blending appliances and the best was my magic bullet but it was still not as smooth as I would have liked.
@@carol-thriftychichousewife6231 That's strange. I used the 2lbs. of onion and everything. Oh well, we will see how they taste. First time making these.
Hi carol. I tried steam canning today for the first time my steam was coming out fr9m the sides it never came out of the hole on the top and or did it ever get in the green I live in Michigan so I'm not sure what I did wrong can you explain or do you have another video that shows it better
I just made the bourbon bbq baked beans. First time ever canning baked beans, I have to say this recipe is sooooo good. Opened a jar for dinner tonight and was really amazed how good they were. Never buying store bought anymore. Thanks for the fantastic recipe.😃
This video popped up and it's criminal ...If you were cooking for me I'd overdose on food, is the hubby overweight or has he learned self control, I'm laughing. I'm almost afraid to check your other vids.
All the dumb blonds are on Fox News. Stop with the stereotyping or you may end up identifying as Mecican and be found wearing a sombrero asleep under a tree. No more dumb nlond comments.
I know this is one of your older videos, but I listened while working batches of tomatoes. For those who haven't jumped over to steam canning, It's a great option. But, after going through 2 aluminum steam canners, I just want to recommend that if you buy a steam canner, Stainless steel is definitely the way to go. With aluminum bottoms developed pin holes in less than 18 months of use. As always, thanks Carol.
