Driving Production started with the idea of bringing automotive projects content that can be achieved by anyone. It slowly evolved into a channel that revolves around Mazda builds, car reviews, specific product install and reviews and owners review about their car.
Always trying to push the boundaries and learn along the way. We are determined to keep on giving productions that are driven by passion!
What the car sounds like - not how the car sounds like. This generation Love when they say I promise instead of I swear. You don’t promise on a Bible in court. 😂
I didn't 😅 I feel like the bumper is holding fine without them TBH and I look at some guys running quick releases for their bumpers with barley 2 clips holding the whole thing without any issues.
That's what a lot of people say before trying it on the skyactiv. I would say that its generally true, but on the skyactiv platform people that do this mod have seen great results.
this video is what i needed, lots and lots of forums of the same dude. "you arent going to make any kind of gains without spending 5-7k for NA" "your tuner is lying to you"
after drivetrain loss the 18 2.5 puts anywhere from 160-170hp to the wheels, its hard to believe that a bump to 190-200hp is not as hard/expensive as everyone makes it
Yeah the skyactiv engine is great! 2.0 or 2.5 have lots of potential! Like you said a 2.5 can be close to 200hp at the crank with a few bolt on and a tune. Justin did mention that a properly tuned N/A 2.5 in the 3rd gen is equally or a bit faster than the factory 4th gen turbos which is wild!
@DrivingProduction thats crazy to think about as well! By no means am i look for a spaceship if i wanted that, corksport makes the turbo kit that i would save for with no question, just don't want that yet nor have the time to tear it down as its my daily
Trippin. Cheers man. These videos are infinite. As time goes on and our kids grow up and these are their first cars, we the parents, need these banks of knowledge as guides. I have gone through a load of your M3 library to help our son build and rebuild his speed 3. In 5 years the cycle will begin again and your vids will hopefully still be here for the next tuners and builders.
Ive got my mazda 3 speed 2013 2.0, looking to slap it on fb marketplace but Id really like to mod it out! i just dont know whether to sell it and get the 2.3l version instead
Any recommendations for my 2012 - Mazda - 3 - I Touring Sedan 4-Door I wanna upgrade to a sport fuel pump. It’s a skyactive engine but I can’t find anything
I try to go with parts I can find used when I can, especially a new exhaust can be a more expensive mod for the gains from it a very little it's mostly for the sound.
@DrivingProduction Ya, I paid around 1k shipped for the corksport exhaust with the racepipe. Deleting the 2nd cat. I like it a lot. But it was expensive for what it is.
welp, ive found the next job im doing for my mazda!, mine is a base trim skyactiv, that claims 150hp on paper, but after weight reduction it feels more like 270(i know its no different, but small cars really have a way of fooling you once you get to sub 2300lb weights), this should help with my awful on-pavement launches! although i can get good burnouts still if i simply floor it in first after takeoff rather than dumping my clutch pedal.
Here is a tip from an old timer: Pipes have turbulance in them at set intervals (pulses); those pulses, if the pipes are trimmed correctly, can either increase or decrease top speed and affects horsepower. By painting the pipe (I know, we spend a lot of money on systems) with say, a white latex paint, you can see where the pulses start and end. By trimming the length of the end of the pipe just before or just after the next burn marks, you can increase HP and top speeds. (Then clean up your pretty stainless exhaust). And remember : Some back pressure helps too, but that's another chapter.
I know this is an old video, But i just purchased the flex pipe for my 2013 Mazda 3 skyactiv, So I'll have to go through all of this so that i can get this to work?
