As an aspiring writer, I hope to one day release a few books I'm working on. But right now, this channel is a way for me to express my creative side. blood omen 2 was the best vampire game back then! and still as a VAMPIRE GAME it holds a torch compared to many games out there! so you can shove you HUGE DISAPOINMENT right into your... well u know where to :P
Your analysis of this psychological and magical wonder of a game is spot on. Also absolutely love the music that compliments the mindful depths of the writing, dialogue and environments. And tell you what, if this was made into a film or short series on Netflix by the right sort of people, it would become as classic as the game is. It's bonkers how unknown this gem still is though. Mortanius and Moebius are both members of the circle when the vampires are still managing it. They overthrow the vampires and set the Circle of Nine to be self managed by the human guardians, and never to become vampires. Moebius realises how much of a mistake this is after the Hylden start pushing their way back into Nosgoth and tries to reset the vampires as the defacto guardians by using Kain. Moebius worships the elder god and only cares about removing vampires from the world. It's very difficult to outplan someone who can mess with time sadly.

Thank you for being one of few that acknowledges that the Pillars would fall regardless of Kain's choice in the first game, that even most in the series seem to ignore since the connection of the Pillars to the Vampires seems to be unknown by many.

hell I was way older and this plot went over my head, I just now thought that both murals weren't only possible but that both of them happen as they both won and lost that last fight between them Kain never needed the heart so it wasn't a big deal when Raziel ripped it out of him.
yes it sound like hes telling him that kain killed his whole clan, and hes the last of his clan, so everything hes saying is to provoke raziel to end his misery
I'm cautiously optimistic and I do hope this project brings a LOK "renaissance". However, my biggest fear with the female Vampire is the possibility of a romantic triangle between her, Raziel and Kain. If there is a franchise that should never have that kind of drama, it is LOK/Soul Reaver. Only time will tell if my fears are unfoundead or if they will become a reality.
We all know why they add a female main character to the lore, just because of the time we live in. Imagine you are doing something in current times without adding female/blacks/asians or all that woke shit that is forced upon every game/series/movie today. "What? You are telling a story without any female character, are you misogynistic?" i dare you to let a feminist play the lok series, you will get a 50 pages essay why the developers are hating on woman because the only one they really mentioned were umah and ariel and they both got murdered. You will get a big shitstorm, and it will hurt your sales massively. I mean there is no other reason. The legacy of kain has a really rich story base, especially before soul reaver 1 with many deep characters like raziel and his brothers, the sarafan, moebius and the circle, kain, vorador, janos audron, the hylden etc. Hell you could even make a novel about every of raziels bretheren. I will hold my expectations really, really low and see what time brings us.
Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver was almost the entirety of my teen years. The complex story telling, voice acting, and extensive world building is a primary factor for my desire to be an author. Great content!
Kain and Raziel are like greek gods, more humans than... But I'm in the side of Raziel, he never doubt to SACRIFICE himself to give a chance to Nozgoth, so different than Kain than refused it first and find a reason later for that. Reference: William's story
Blood Omen 2 is certainly the 'Black Sheep' of the series but it's still far from terrible, if anything it's still worth playing simply for both the action and nostalgia factor as it is
What if the female vampire is Raziel's actual mother that was killed and turned into a vampire which resulted in him being adopted/taken in by Mobius into the Sarafan order...not sure what to think of that, but that thought just entered my mind 🤷♂️
Any guess about the female vampire is just a guess, but she looks like she is related to Kain. It's probably a blood relation, either by birth, or by something that happened after birth, because they look similar. I doubt she's a girlfriend or lover. Kain doesn't seem to care much about the female gender or romance, and since he's sterile and immortal there's no need for him to care.
I get why the humans would want to wipe out vampires. If there's another species which uses you as their man food source, then obviously that's a serious threat, and if their numbers are growing then that has to be dealt with. Now, if the vampires have the option to feed on animals, and they are only doing that, then you could say they are unjustly being persecuted. But if they can only feed on humans, or if they can feed on animals but are choosing to feed on humans, then you have to respond to that.

I'm so happy to finally be getting some new LoK content after two decades of nothing but failed spinoffs and multiplayer games. I'm interested in the addition of this new character, on one hand some new female characters could be nice considering there have only been 2 female characters in this series before, umah and Ariel. But hopefully she's also not a Mary Sue self insert character who will be more important than Kain and Raziel.
I disagree about Ariels memories. I think she remembers ALL of it, hence her statement about remembering. Keep in mind Ariel is the last TRUE guardian of the balance. Her task and powers are to keep the others in balance and harmony. As such, by necessity she must have some power from each of the pillars. Therefore I believe that, like Mobius, she can remember the changes in the timelines. She would not mention it to Raziel 8n irder to keep them as intact as possible and prevent any corruption she could. If shed said, "Yeah we met several hundred years ago and you told me how Kain was in the 5ime streaming chamber and escaped you." Raziel would be prepared and it would further disrupt the timeline and therfore the balance. As to her form and appearance at the shrine, its the same thing, she is pulled from the tine which would LEAST disrupt the balance so the dostant future far after any other meetings with her had happened. Her appearance is because the moment she is summoned she is free from her bindings to be spiritually "at rest." So she can be at peace now that the balance is to be restored finally.
