Hi, i know this might be asking much but in the current patch decoupled is pretty much needed for fighting. Im returning after a two year hiatus and u are my go to guy. Is this guide still relevant or are there a few changes and how do i evade in the current iteration? Since nerfing of other engines even landing is harder since u cant course correct easily. Thanks in advance

Current flight model is poopoocaacaa, they are away of the issues and working on it. But all the same physics still apply. Issue is acceleration rates right now are really low.

"Pro grade"? Why not just use the perfectly decent names they have already in modern jets. Velocity vector or flight path marker. Makes more sense to have the description in the name. Or maybe its different I don't own SC yet.

Rockets use prograde and retrograde since space has no relativity aside from your movement.

Decoupled mode i would say is also more realistic, believable and therefore immersive, probably especially for flight simmers. Should theoretically use less fuel too. I think they should retain interia coming out of QT, or at least an option. I think it would look more natural too, like that scene in 5th Element where the ship coming out of "light speed" or whatever they called it and then the ship turned left immediately and looked so natural. Coupled is great for non-pilots though. I think they should keep it in. I also assume decoupled should also result in less rubber banding/teleporting or even lag because the trajectory of the ship is smoother. (just my guess)

Love this, this is legit the kind of combat theory I'd imagine you'd have to apply in zero-g warzones: Strafing and making unpredictable patterns that try to force your opponent into a position where the broadside of their ship is facing you allowing you the highest chance of hitting their craft because of the surface area and raining death from above or below. This legit looks so intense I almost want this to become an eSport lol. Thanks for the vid!

How to adjust the precision damping curve and precision zone size for mouse and keyboard? These two enhanced option are not available for me above the VJoy visibility?!

I would like to see/hear your take on MM in regards to movement, I know the system needs a lot of work though, but if they are going to staying with this system is it still a space game? As a mouse and keyboard user, your videos have been very helpful thank you. I hope you doing well.

ive always been super quick to learn any video game I play. But I sraight up... CANNOT figure out what im doing wrong or how to get better. Ive been playing master modes and when im in a dogfight there are so many times where there isnt a doubt in my mind that im hitting more shots than my opponent is. I look at target status and his shield is barely damaged and im about to blow up. Its mentally exhausting hitting someone with almost every shot thinking hes about to die and hes not even hurt... Like damn all those shots landed and for what hes full health again already. But when I get shot at while trying to strafe and evade im dead in about 1.5 seconds. Im so close to quitting and ive never quit a game im bad at. that just makes me grind more usually. I keep thinking theres something big that im missing. I know this is an ignorant statement but it literally feels like my opponents bullets are doing 5x the damage mine are. I think ive watched all your tutorials at least 3 times. If there was some sort of replay system from their pov I would be able to pinpoint my movement faults but there isnt. I just die and repeat. Even when I suprise attack someone from behind and hit every shot they just turn around and swat me like a fly. I cant find ANY tips for hosam setup either. more so just tips for aiming with mouse. For example is relative mode used? why cant I increase relative mode sensitivty without changing fps sense. This game infuriates me to a whole different level

Thank you. Came here because I'm in a weird interim of not understanding combat meta/objective, but being able to at least evade or pursue. My fights often end up stalemates and I get flamed hard in chat. (This has happened like 8 times lol)

I don't deny your skill but what's the point since the current fly model requires both players to agree to do that? What if I'm closing the distance being evasive and fancy and the opponent just thrusts back and aims with gimbals (which would make a lot of sense game-lore wise)?

Because when u fight big slower ships, knife fighting is how you beat them. Conversely, if you don't know how to knife fight in a big ship, you will get dunked on by any light fighter.

@@JohnathanWinters Yeah, right now, but that's not really believable, is it? The bigger the ship, the more fire power it can carry, the bigger the power plant, the stronger the shields, etc. But so far CIG restricted big ships so that it'd be possible to use small crafts to pirate. IMO getting too close to a big ship in a small fighter should mean insta death by some auto turrets and I think CIG will finally get the game to that point. I think it's part of what they're doing with master modes, as in: if you want to fight that big ship, you have to slow down but if you slow down, it'll just escape. And if big ships had auto turrets that are hard to avoid (which, again, makes sense game-lore wise), to rob it you'd have to either be extra stealthy or somehow disable a single turret or use two fighters from two different angles so that one could distract it while the second one gets closer or approach the ship from some natural blind spot, then EVA past the shield and blowtorch your way inside, finally disable defence from the inside and open the door for your friends to get in and take over or - and that's even better - you jettison the cargo through the back door without them knowing they're getting robbed. Now that's a proper heist.

Today I found myself incapacitated at some bandits nest. I called 911 and Immortus (his nick) came with his ambulance cutless. He not only draged me into his ship under fire but also provided me Close Air Support while I was continuing my mission. After I killed the boss he finally gave me a ride to my scorpius and left. I will never forget that.
