THRILLED to see the beautiful images you showed of Grand Manan! Really tugged at my heartstrings. I was born there, 73 years ago. Only lived there for the first 3 years of my life. Haven't been back for a visit in about 20 years. Thank you. Really enjoyed your painting as well!
I'm so happy you enjoyed seeing Grand Manan through my camera lens ☺️ What a beautiful, beautiful place!! ❤️ And the folks who live there are real salt of the earth people! 💕 Kind, welcoming and helpful! That's a part of you and it's something to be proud of for sure! Thank you for making the time to watch my video and connect with me 🤗
You are such a joy. I am so thrilled you had a relaxing fantastic vacation !Your pictures remind me of childhood vacations at Lake Superior in Minnesota. Blue water, rocks driftwood and sheer happiness because of all the treasures that lay at my feet. I love deer and daisies birds and bugs. Thank you so very much 🌼for adding a brightness to my world. I turned 69 this year and I have to go through shoulder surgery and I can’t travel yet but one of my goals in life is to come out to Maine and see you dear one.l believe this is my all time favorite ♥️💋

Hello sweet friend 🤗💕 Thank you so much for sharing in the joy of my vacation with me! It sounds like we might have had similar childhood beach combing experiences. To this day, I still enjoy treasure hunting when I walk any beach. During our vacation, I was lucky enough to find a small piece of blue beach glass. It's a rare find these days and I feel lucky I was the one to lay eyes on it. 🤩 I can imagine you would feel anxious about your shoulder surgery. 😔 If you don't mind telling me when it is, I'll make sure to send some special thoughts and prayers your way so that it all goes well. ❤️ (You can let me know in a private message on Instagram if you'd prefer not to announce it publicly here 😉.) Maine is beautiful and I'm sure you'll love it when you get to come! Keep shining your bright and loving light Nancy 💕 Lots of love and great big hugs are heading your way 🤗❤️
Oh Gabrielle, what a wonderful vacation you had! I am in awe of all of the beauty God has created for us to enjoy! How nice that you took Garou with you! I was always upset when we had to leave our pups behind, when we used to go on vacation! Your pictures are fabulous, and I'm so glad you got a chance to get away, and take in all of the beauty! 😍 Your painting this week is lovely! I admit I was a little concerned when you talked about the "ugly stages" of our paintings, but once you added the pen marks, it pulled it all together! Of course the gold put it over the top! 😉 I really appreciate how you explain your process each week, I learn so much from you! Thank you for sharing another beautiful painting! Love and hugs! ❤🤗 Have a blessed week 🙏
Hi Lori ❤️🤗 Yes, vacation with Garou is definitely better than vacation without him 💕🐶 I really wish I could take him with me everywhere I go! He'll have to be boarded for our next vacation and I'm already dreading it 😔 Thankfully he is well loved where we board him. 🥰 Thank you for bearing the ugly stage of this painting with me ☺️ It really tests my ability to trust that I'll be able to shift things around almost each and every time that stage comes 😳😂 But, isn't it amazing how a few pen marks can make all the difference!? What have you been painting these days? I hope summer is treating you well and that you're not dealing with too much heat. I can't believe July is already here!! Time really does go faster as we get older, doesn't it?! That's why I feel it's so important to be as present as possible in each and every moment. ✨💕 (I have my second appt with the rheumatologist tomorrow morning, a follow up on recent tests... I'm hoping for some good news and/or the grace to greet whatever else might come my way. 🙏🏿✨💕) Big hugs sweet friend 💕🤗
of all the tutes ii've watched & painted with, yr 'trust my intuition' refrain 'suddenly clicked in a way words don't do justice to, but 'expansive comes close, as if ii'd been holding my breath so long & forgot to breathe... yr intro set the tone for the most appreciated arty sandwich, with all the fixings, & a delicious finish to perfect bites...hugs & swishes, and an awesome weekend.
Aww ❤️🤗 Judy!! You are always so eloquent in the way you express yourself and I feel so blessed to receive the gift of your words! 💕 Thank you so much for being here with me! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start 🤗❤️
We mermaids always miss being near the ocean, don't we? 🧜♀️ It's nice to know we can visit every now and then, though I know it's still not the same as living by the ocean. Thank you for your kind words Stacy 💕 I appreciate you and your presence here 🤗❤️
Thank you for sharing your vacation pictures with us! It looks like a wonderful place to visit! Love your seascape painting of it! I kept thinking it looked like it should be an illustration in a book about a magical sea and the wonderful creatures who lived there.
Oh I love this so much! ❤️ I appreciate your ability to travel like this using your imagination! 🥰 I wrote a little book a while back and I've often thought about illustrating it and trying to get it published ☺️ Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing the wonderful gift of your imagination with me 🤗
@@gabrielleannacormierart Oh! I hope you do! These whimsical abstracts you have been painting lately seem perfect for magical illustrations for a book!
Hi Sue ❤️🤗 Oh my! Yes!! This would make a lovely card for your sister 🥰 Have fun creating it and I'm sure all the love you pour into your painting will bring a smile to your sister's face on her special day. Thank you for your kindness and for being here with me 💕
Fantastic!! It is sooo beautiful and I looove it - like all of your whimsical and intuitiv paintings Whenever I'll have time again, I'll try this or the other one. But I'm out of possibilities for the next 6 days 😑. Love and hugs my sweet Gabrielle😘🤗
Hi again Trixi 🤗💕 It's always so lovely to see you here! And your enthusiasm always brings a smile to my face 🥰 It's hard to find time to paint everything we want to paint, isn't it?! I understand 😉 Be gentle and kind with yourself my friend ❤️ I'm sending lots of love your way xoxo
Oh gooosh I love, love, looooove it my sweet Gabrielle😍🤩😍🥰😘💗💗💗! It is again so magical and beautiful and I'll try it asap. It was such a great video and I can relate to all you said while painting. Sending you lots of love across the ocean, my dear dear friend!!
Hi Trixi ❤️🤗 You have the most infectious positive and loving energy! I love it!! Thank you so much for being here and for making the time to connect with me 💕 I hope you have so much fun creating your seascape and I hope you will share it on Insta so I can see it. Your paintings are so beautiful 💕 Lots of love is travelling across the Atlantic on its way to you too sweet friend 💕🤗
I follow along on some of your videos and add my own version. I am new to watercolor and find it so relaxing. Thank you for the content. Very generous of you. :)
I love this!! ❤️ I'm so happy you are enjoying working with watercolors and I'm also happy you make the time to paint with me on occasion and give it your own little spin. ☺️ Thank you for choosing to be here with me! It really means a lot to me 💕🤗
Yay!!!! I'm feeling excited for you! What fun lies ahead!! ☺️💕 I'm so happy to see you're feeling inspired and I hope you have lots of fun creating your seascape. Thank you for making the time to connect Julie 🤗
So, so beautiful. The colour of the rocks is perfect. Thank you for sharing your photos..easy to see how the area has inspired you ❤ An absolute joy to watch. 👏😍
Hi Jan ❤️🤗 I'm so glad you enjoyed my pics and the painting process! I have so much inspiration from this one trip - there is much more to come ☺️ Thank you for being here with me and for making the time to connect. It always means a lot to me. 💕
Oh my gosh, that is so beautiful! I am Canadian and I have never been to New Brunswick, isn’t that typical! I really enjoyed the music, your soothing voice and watching you paint, so inspiring!💕🇨🇦
Hi Cindy 💕☺️ What part of Canada are you from? It's a big country as you know 😉 I'm 51 and just visited a place that was only 2 1/2 hours from me most of my life 😂 It's hard to cover it all, but if at some point you do have a chance to get to NB, it is beautiful. ❤️ Well, all of Canada is beautiful really 🇨🇦💕. I'm so glad you enjoyed my video and I appreciate you making the time to connect with so much kindness. ☺️
@@gabrielleannacormierart Hi, I am from Ontario, in the beautiful 1000 Islands area on the St. Lawrence River! We are in the Frontenac Arch Biosphere, a UNESCO reserve. We are between two International Bridges to the US and we welcome tourists! We would love to have you! I do hope to do the east coast at some point! Lovely to connect with you!💕🇨🇦
@@cindycreateforlife Oh my! Another one to add to my list of places to see for sure!! ☺ I've been to some parts of Ontario, North of that area (Killarney Provincial Park and Algonquin Provincial Park then on to Ottawa). All of it is so beautiful! I don't mind having more reasons to go back ☺ The Maritimes will be happy to welcome you as well when you decide to visit. The summer is probably the busiest season for tourism, but it is gorgeous in the spring, fall and winter too. It's lovely to connect with you too 💕🇨🇦 (Canada Day is fast approaching! I hope you have a wonderful celebration 🤗✨).
Absolutely gorgeous! It brings back my own wonderful memories vacationing along the vast Michigan shorelines. Yes I am thoroughly inspired to see what I can dream up in my next painting. Thank you for sharing your own joy and inspiration to me.
Hi Jim 🤗 I'm so glad you enjoyed this one too! Aren't shorelines just so much fun to explore and see?!! I have yet to visit one I don't like! ☺️ I'm so happy to see you're feeling inspired and I hope you have a lot of fun painting your own seascape. I was thinking of you and our little conversation about white over watercolors as I was adding my white dots to this painting. They are not completely white, but this is an example of when the ink seemed to stay relatively intact. ☺️
@@gabrielleannacormierart" I was thinking of you and our little conversation about white over watercolors as I was adding my white dots to this painting"....lol 🤗
It was wonderful to share a moment or two of your holiday with the beautiful photographs and to see the inspiration for the painting. I am always fascinated by the gentle build up of your backgrounds and how they are transformed with the pen work….and gold! My favourite bit of this is the white sea dots that mingle with the sun reflection dots. Just lovely, thank you. I wish you a relaxing week now you are back from your travels xx 💫💙
Hi Bernice 💕🤗 I thought my mermaid sister might enjoy this little painting 🧜♀️☺️❤️ I'm so glad you did!! It really is a build up isn't it?! One moment, it all looks a little (or a lot) messy 😂 and then a few details enter into the mix and it starts to transform. 🥰 I don't play with white as much as I used to, but I was really called to do it here and it worked out so well. Thank you so much for making the time to connect with me and watch my videos every week. 💕 I'm sending lots of love and some sunshine your way sweet friend ❤️🤗🌞 I hope you have a wonderful week xoxo
This is absolutely gorgeous! I love the way you make your abstracts. Idk if you prefer using a brush to make your dots... if so just skip right over this. But... are you aware of the tools you can get at the craft store that are specifically marketed for use with clay. They are clay sculpting tools, and there is a solid ball on the end, sometimes a different size ball on either end. Multiple sizes available. You can use them to make dots on your paintings. If you look at one of Bettina Fernandez's RU-vid videos, you can see her using it. It just seems like a faster way to make dots on your paper. Again, if the paint brush is your preferred method, don't mind my 2 cents! I really enjoy your channel and have tried several of your projects. 🙂
Thank you so much for your kindness ❤️🤗 And I appreciate you sharing your 2 cents 😉😁 I do have the dotting tools you recommend and I have used them on several of my projects as well. They are awesome for making dots and it's pretty neat that they come in a variety of sizes. I first learned about them when I was learning about dot mandalas. ☺️ I kind of like to switch things up and just follow my intuition as to what I paint with. Sometimes I like the more organic look of using my brush and other times, I love to use the dotting tools. I love @_bettina_fernandez_ too ❤️ Thank you for making the time to connect with me! It really means a lot 💕
Hello hello in NB ☺️❤️ What part of NB are you from? I'm originally from Cap-Pele ☺️ Thank you so much for making the time to watch and connect with so much kindness!
One of my favorites so far! It was so relaxing to watch you paint. I do wonder why my salt results never turn out as spectacular as yours! I have been wanting to paint an abstract seascape so may give this a try!
Hi Ruth ❤️☺️ Thank you so much for your kind words and for being here with me/with us 💕 Salt can be tricky in some ways (maybe it is the salt, maybe it's the paper, maybe it's when the salt is apply to the paint...). I usually get my best results when I work on higher quality paper. I know Arches can be expensive so I also carry a variety of different qualities of paper on hand and I try to switch it up every once in a while to experiment with this. I have not had a chance to try it yet, but apparently paper by a brand called Baohong is less expensive (if you buy it via Temu) and has a similar quality to Arches. I'm kind of on the fence about Temu, but this might be one instance where it is worth buying their product. I'm so happy to see you're feeling inspired to paint your own seascape ☺️ I hope you have lots of fun in the process 🎨🤗
Greeting from County Durham in the U.K. Hello Gabrielle, you won’t remember me but I’ve commented on quite a few of your wonderful videos. I just wanted to say how much they have been helping me these past few months. My best friend and wife, Sue, of 55+ years died early in February this year and since, I’ve just not had the heart to paint. However in these past days I have ventured back up the our studios that we shared and I’ve painted a couple of (horrendous) paintings but hey, the results don’t matter… what matters is that I’m back painting and enjoying the process. I hope you don’t mind but I just wanted to give hope to those of your community that may be going through similar situations… give it time, be thankful if you can for all around you, and your craving to paint will return. Thank you again Gabrielle - keep up the good work… I shall now sit and watch this one ☺️
I share that feeling. My husband is in Hospice Care. I'm blessing with wonderful watercolor supplies, yet I don't have the heart to paint. However, I have faith that in time I will find the joy of expressing myself through painting, once again🙏
Hello Joyce, many thanks for your reply. I’m a retired Anglican vicar now but when I was in active ministry, I used to visit my local Hospice once a week. I pray that the Hospice your husband is in, has the same happy and warm atmosphere as the one I visited. I think what helps me is being fortunate in having a thankful nature… perhaps that’s why I’m so drawn to Gabrielle’s channel. It’s taken me five months to really pick up my brush again… be gentle with yourself and please be assured that both you and your husband will be in my thoughts.
Hi Vincent ❤️🤗 Yes, I absolutely do remember you and the beautiful artwork you have shared with me via Instagram. 💕 I am so sorry for your loss.😔 I can imagine your pain and how difficult it can be to pain while grieving. I have found it difficult to paint in moments of grief as well. My heart goes out to you. I'm glad to see you are working through your grief and giving yourself the space to feel what you need to feel when you need to feel it. As you mentioned to Joyce, be gentle with yourself as you are working through your grief and getting back into painting again. Maybe the paintings you are creating at this point in time seem ''horrendous'' to you because they are expressing some of your pain. We don't tend to appreciate and see the beauty pain can carry because it doesn't feel so good. And yet, if it weren't for the polarity of pain, we might not be able to know and appreciate joy and all the wonders that make us thankful too. I feel and have felt your grateful heart in all of our communication. 💕 I appreciate that you made the time to share part of your personal journey with our community of creative souls. It is so helpful to me and to others that you have the courage to share like you have. Thank you for your kindness and compassion. ❤️ And thank you for being the voice of hope today. I'm so thankful for your presence here Vincent 🤗❤️
Thank you @joycesnodgrass7068 for connecting with Vincent and with us about your journey with grief. ❤️ My heart goes out to you too and I will keep you and your husband in my thoughts. I am so thankful for your presence here as well. Every 👋 and ❤️ is a gift. I'm sending lots of love your way 💕
Hello my friend, I'm sorry it's taken so long to leave a comment! 🤦♀️ I love seeing your sweet smiling face on your videos! What a smart idea to put in a raised garden, and to protect it from the wild life; I've never seen that before! 🥔🥬🥒 I get so excited, when on a rare occasion, I see a deer pass through my yard! 🦌 I love animals so much! Garou is so adorable, I was so happy to see his cameos! 😍 I really like your whimsical painting this week! The gold looks beautiful! Your marks always add so much interest and depth to your paintings! Have a good week, I look forward to your video on Wednesday. Sending love and hugs 💕🤗
Thank you so much for being here with me Lori ❤️ I love wildlife too! The deer are so shy usually, but they sometimes come as a family and munch on our clover ☺️ Lately, we’ve had porcupines around, even during the day. I was able to catch Garou before he pounced on another one the day before yesterday 😱and last night, one was in our front yard when Garou and I went outside for his before bed routine. Sadly, this means Garou is more on leash than he and I both prefer him to be. But, better safe than sorry. I am so happy you’re continuing to enjoy my videos 😊 This week I’ll also be sharing a few pics from our vacation last week. ❤️ you’ll get to see the south coast of New Brunswick (Canada). 😉 My painting was inspired by all the beauty we saw 🥰 I hope all is well with you sweet friend ☺️ Lots of love heading your way 💕🤗
@@gabrielleannacormierart I've never seen a porcupine in real life! Garou definitely needs to avoid getting hurt by one again! We have a possum and a racoon that like to pass through our yard sometimes, I worry about Lexi encountering them. Ohhh I look forward to your vacation pictures, and painting! I'm glad you got to get away! I hope your body isn't feeling too bad in this heat. We hit 100 degrees today, and now have thunderstorms. It's way too early for this kind of heat, and it is also very humid. Thank God for air conditionering, I am a wimp when it comes to the heat. 😂 "See" you tomorrow my friend! 😊💞🤗
@@love2create62 100 😳🥵 I am a wimp when it comes to the heat too 😂 88 and I want to crawl into a little cave and hide 🤣 I was happy to be away for 97 last week 🙏🏿 My sweet spot is around 72 so spring and fall our now my faves ☺ Oh goodness! Raccoons can be tricky and not very fearful - I once tried chasing one away from a distance by doing my best fencing moves with a broom - it looked at me like I was entertaining (as I'm sure I was) and just continued trying to access my garbage bin 😂 Possums we don't have here - do they not just lay down and play dead? Well, I guess, that wouldn't necessarily be better for a curious dog either. Wouldn't it be fun if life was like a Disney movie and all the animals just got along? 😂
I hope you didn't have rude people complain? Who am I kidding, there will always be rude people. Ignore them. I am really loving your art and videos. ❤
Such is life right? 😉 Like you say it’s best to ignore the things we cannot control and focus on how we prefer to interact with others ❤️ Thank you for your kindness and support 🤗💕
