First of all, you should know that there is no Mormon church. The correct name of the church, you refer to, is The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints.
So BEAUTIFULLY have you produced these reenactment films🥰. And thank you for including past church history for us....some dramatizations. Just brings back to our hearts and minds....the thrill and sacred experiences of this 1997 unsurpassed event😇 on several days. We would get up about 3 am...here ❤ in Perry,, Utah... then drive out to Wyoming to meet the wagons, and spend an unforgettable day with them! Every day ...the memories are a treasure forever.❤️💙💜
What other college sports team have you EVER seen who’s head coach could LEAD his team on the field and in prayer! I can remember seeing the movie RUDY. And when it was time for prayer before a game, the coach turned to a priest to lead them in prayer... too bad the coach couldn’t lead the team in prayer!
As a Convert to the CHURCH !! I had ALWAYS ADMIRED BYU !! Always a winner ! Didn’t win every game ! NUT THEIR SPIRIT WUZ THERE !! ❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🎶🎶🇨🇱🇨🇱👍🏼👍🏼🖖🏼🖖🏼🖖🏼🖖🏼🖖🏼🖖🏼🖖🏼🖖🏼🖖🏼🖖🏼🖖🏼
Dan-ke Schon, Mitchell Productions! I'd only seen the clips of Pres. Hinckley & Elder Bateman speaking. The pregame video showing so many players I recognize from the late 1990s through 2000, 2001 reminded of their building, maintaining the BYU FTB Ship.
I actually cried watching this. Brought back memories. But mainly bc of the heartbreak he and his wife and children endured losing one of their children/brothers.
I'm excited to find this video!! I am also related to Jesse Walker Johnstun. My grandfather is named Joseph Johnstun as well, and I've spent hours and hours reading Jesse's journal entries. So many incredible stories documented.
Here are two revealing quotes from President Hinckley, regarding racism in the LDS church: "It's behind us. Look, that's behind us. Don't worry about those little flicks of history." ~Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley, 60 Minutes Interview with Mike Wallace on CBS-TV, following the sudden change of policy in the LDS church, allowing black men to be priests (at the very time the church was being chased by the government for its racist stand and taxes !!). --- "I don't see anything further that we need to do. I don't hear any complaint from our black brethren and sisters. I hear only appreciation and gratitude wherever I go." ~Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley, "Mormon Leader Defends Race Relations," Los Angeles Times, September 12, 1998 (NINETEEN-NINETY-EIGHT !!) --- MY OBSERVATION --- what I see here from Hinckley is a very casual, dismissive, virtually sneering attitude. He refers to overt evil LDS RACISM as a "little flick of history", such a VILE remark. And in 1998 he again comes out with a condescending, patronising snide remark. #
Gordon B. Hinckley, former President of the LDS church, in an interview on "60 Minutes" (CBS TV), said: "We declare without equivocation that God the Father and His Son...Jesus Christ, appeared in person to the boy Joseph Smith. Our whole strength rests on the validity of that vision. It either occurred or it did not occur. If it did not, then this work is a fraud." >>>Now look at the NINE DIFFERENT VERSIONS Joseph Smith himself gave of that first vision: 1827 - A spirit appears to Joseph telling him of a record on gold plates, at age 17. 1827 - An angel appears to Joseph telling him he has been chosen to be a prophet and bring forth a record on gold plates, at age 18. 1830 - An angel tells Joseph where to find a secret treasure. Joseph returns once a year for several years before obtaining the plates. 1832 - Jesus Christ appears to Joseph, at age 15. 1834 - An angel appears to Joseph in his bedroom, at age 17. 1835 - Two personages appear to Joseph in a grove, at age 14. 1835 - Many angels appear to Joseph in a grove, at age 14. 1838 - God the Father and Jesus appear to Joseph in a grove, at age 14. 1844 - Two unidentified personages appear to Joseph, at age 14. ~~~ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gQ9_8OPB7Qk.html #
