@@kennyadams4469 What you're hearing is a bass overdub, if you listen closely you can hear two distinctly different bass parts in the recording! One is the groove I play in the video, and the other is the lick that is punched in on top of that. Thanks for checking out the video, I'm glad you dug it! :)
I would recommend man, it’s phenomenal for compact travel! I’d recommend the brand Kala, I just got one and made a video on my channel! Wayyyy easier to play/better sound than the Aklot bass in this video.

Isn’t it wild? If you haven’t yet, check out Geddy Lee doing this song with Yes for their R&RHOF induction, that’s where I picked this technique up! I can’t think of anyone else who uses this technique other than Geddy, but it works well for getting a pick sort of sound with fingers!

😳🤯🫡 Just seeing this rendition now (Wednesday, 06/19/2024). You NAILED it, sir! One of my all time favorite songs. FREAKIN’ AWESOME, for starters, and an inspiration to get my 🫏 back to practicing SOMETHING musical after a number of years of not doing jack 💩. Really like the way you use fingerstyle on this tune! A position I’ve held for some time: WHO T-F cares if you play with a pick, or fingerstyle, or (as in guitar playing) using alternate picking or sweep picking on “Glasgow Kiss” as long as it has the sound and feel!!
Saw this guy playing bass on the cruise ship Pride Of America out of Honolulu Hawaii in May 2024. Phenomenal bass player. He was returning to hometown Buffalo at the end of our cruise.
