Manufacturer and world leader in towing and recovery equipment with brands Century, Vulcan, Chevron, and Holmes. Products range from light, medium, and heavy duty tow trucks and wreckers, car carriers, flatbeds and rotators. NYSE: MLR
This heavy recovery industry is so funny. Here we have 100 ton rotator with 65000 lbs ( around 30 ton) winches....aaaand 15 ton snacth blocks...😂😂😂. I think the biggest is 18 ton that is normal size. So they force you to work in to safety factor instead of WLL. And you have warning: "Never exceed working load limit!!"...how?? Only way is to use 3 part line with 2 snatch blocks...but then you dont need 65.000 lbs winches...And it is not just Snatch blocks. Why do they even bother with WLL. 😂
I love it! Of course the government is exempt. Gavin and the other climate extremists have to be able to drive their SUVs and fly private jets to fake conferences on how to "save the planet" 😅
Sigh 😑 it's just like every aspect of our jobs people don't care about towing until they need us or it affects them . I see it over and over after 20+ on the side of the road it's getting thin. Be safe brothers and sisters make it home alive and well ✌🏼
Thanks for posting this. The more folks that are made aware, the sooner something can be done about it. I imagine towing companies will be added to the exemption list- we just need to band together and get it done!
As they stated its not practical to do either , the size of battery required takes up to much space on the chassis which rules out fitting a lot of the required equipment. They don't have the range either and it will also impact the weight a recovery vehicle can carry as the battery is so heavy. To convert a diesel powered truck to electric is a large and expensive job and not as straightforward as it sounds . The cost of parts and then labour costs for such a lengthy conversion is prohibitive .
Why are people waking up now? Why haven’t manufacturers joined with vehicle manufacturers to stop this?? The best thing to do is pull out of state and leave CA an even bigger cesspool than it is now.
that's a STUPID way to lift a dozer. you are lifting against the blade cylinders and mounts. it would be better to lift from the roller frames, they are meant to hold the weight of the machine. the hydraulic cylinders are NOT
1.4 million dollar,Wonder how they bill one of those out. It would probably make me clinch up my hind end so tight I could produce diamonds. Maybe that how you pay for that beautiful piece of machinery……..”hiney Diamonds” Amazing what the truck and operator like him could do……..Just my little fantasy: Show up on a Amoco motor club tire change with a truck like that back in the day
I am having 2 of the right approach beds installed on new trucks can't wait to add them to our fleet I take my hat off to the engineers at miller the new miller stuff is proof of great people behind the product good job
I do appreciate the text book instruction but he mis spoke when he said turn the bowl filter housing counterclockwise to tighten and also he said clockwise when removing the fuel filter when obviously the tech was turning it the opposite way but he was only reading what was put in front of him so i cant blame him at all , mistakes happen
Thanks for this. Just curious why this isn't shown pulling a loaded tractor trailer off the side of the road. It's rated for pulling 80,000 lbs, right?
Been watching Ron Pratt videos for a while now. Always wondered if there was a manual override in his rotator in the event that something broke. Cool video.
