Hardware Artisan is all about having fun with building, configuring and troubleshooting PC's. Although I have a focus on RGB lighting for PC's, that's only one of many areas I have an interest in. My goal is to educate, demonstrate and instill a sense of enjoyment as you research and build out your next PC.

Good afternoon. I downloaded the APP and the colors as I wanted, but unfortunately, every time I turn on the PC, the colors are not saved. Colors return to the factory original... Is there a way to save the profiles and automatically have the desired colors saved every time you turn on the Pc? Thanks
this programm can change ram's color as if it were 1 element, but "rgb fusion" in my previous gigabyte motherboard, for example, let me change color of each diode in each ram, and i really miss it. I could create the flag of my country there xd
I love the SignalRGB one but it kept making a dingdong noise. I believe it was my keyboard but couldn't work out why or how to fix it lol. As if it was connecting and disconnecting.
UPS damaged mine pretty good, shearing off a few of the panel studs. I'm waiting for a replacement, but I did get a chance to mockup my hardware. The back can accommodate an extra set of fans for push/pull (using Arctic F3 420mm). Fyi,
I have the issue of the fans are working all fine no issues at all with temps ect, rgb are also on but stuck in 1 colour. However they will not show up in icue even after updating the icue to latest? Any ideas?
My controller is visible only in software updates (on iCUE), and I cannot get it to show as a device to tell it I want to control RBG on port 5 & 6. Does anyone has a solution? RGB on fans 1-4 work fine.
Be aware the "Commander core" Corsair provide with there high end AIO kits is not the same as the stand alone Commander Cores. The 2 temperature ports top and bottom are not there and there is a 24 pin connector for the AIO version you have purchased which the stand alone version does not have. If you already own a commander core and want to install a Corsair AIO it is pretty much useless to you. Corsair may have simplified the wiring but they need to make standard boxes instead of a box they say is a commander core but actually isn't. NZXT do exactly the same thing with there AIO's.
This is almost the perfect case, pity you can't use an ATX motherboard. I have 420mm AIO which would fit nicely, But there are not too many Quality Micro ATX boards that use the AM5 Socket, that don't break the bank
My friend brought them from the US today, which I ordered a couple months ago It looks like a lot of work. Does it work with Lighting Node Core? It came with my QL120 Tripple Fan pack.
That's a great question, I think it's entirely possible that it does, as soon as I can get my hands on that and the tower 600, I will check them out! Exciting new stuff! Thanks for watching.
The tower 100 won't take a MATX motherboard unfortunately, it's just too small....still an awesome little case though, but mini itx will be it. Good luck and have fun!!! Thanks for watching!
Corsair are running a scam here. It should not cost this much to make a few proprietary lights blink. RGB needs to be standardized and open sourced ASAP.
This is a great video of the options, but I'm seeing a lot of complaints from people that Asus Aura doesn't work reliably. I currently have a Thermaltake Tower900 with their RGB fittings and res/pump combos. I'm controlling it all with their TT RGB Plus app and it works fairly well. Some odd bugs once in a while, but nothing major. I'm getting ready to do a full rebuild of my system and was looking at what other RGB options are in the market. A lot of them say they work with Aura, but it sounds like people have a lot of issues getting everything to work together. Being able to sync with full color smart bulbs in the room would be awesome, though.
I did a complete iCue Link build in my Hyte Y60. Had to buy extra cables from Corsair to get enough 90° connections. The extra cost for that was stupid annoying and won't ever use that system again. I just bought a Tower 300 for a new build for my wife. Thinking of doing a Lian Li cooling build this time. Reversible LCD fans are cheaper than iCue.
I just upgraded my PC a few weeks ago, and I got a ATX mobo. Im now case hunting and I'm finding the same problem everywhere I go with cases that I can afford, having a ATX mobo is making it hard to find a case I can afford and have room in, this case looked like a contender but I'm still undecided and don't know if I should get it. Great video tho
Hi bp328i, I am 1000% in agreement with that statement! Like the SWAFAN EX from thermaltake, I would like to see them include swappable blades with the fan. Buy one fan and you can choose and change as necessary. But, at least, make two versions of the fans. Thanks for watching and your support!
Hi owenschilling4577, I completely agree, a king size controller would be appreciated. You can go with iCUE LINK systems now which accomplishes most of that, at a premium price of course. But, I'm with ya! I'm happy you found the video helpful, Thanks for watching!!!
It's like you said, RX are the "performance fans". They are Corsair's attempt at keeping up with the likes of Noctua and Phanteks. They are much better for radiator and airflow use. QX are the showcase fans. They look fantastic but aren't well suited for serious watercooling or airflow applications - or rather there are far better, quieter, and cheaper fans for that.
Hi jayd8743, yes, iCUE LINK makes life easer in many ways.....it adds a few complications with getting the right cables and connectors, but overall it accomplishes what they set out to do. I've enjoyed working with it despite cussing a few times that I didn't have the right cable with me, i've always been able to make it work, haha! Thanks for watching!!!
Hi Retired_Medic, it sure is, isn't it. That's great, it still doesn't show on their product page for this motherboard, who knows why. But you are correct, it's showing on the compatable case list. Thanks for Watching!!!
@@HardwareArtisan I have mine half assembled with Windows 10 Pro loaded and I think you understated the difficulty of getting to the right underside connections on the board. It was a half hour of misery for me. You can't see and read the labels on bottom connectors on that side and you have to keep referencing the manual to know which one you need. If I had to do it again, and there are only 2 or 3 connections that most people need to use, I might have tried attaching them with the with the board loose and then screw it down to the standoffs. It's something I might try if I ever have to remove it. I still have to put in a triple Asiahorse RGB triple fan on the right. And I don't see where you tried to install a hard drive . The HDD will only go on one way, horizontally, with the connectors facing to the rear and it still smashes the power cable. I didn't have a power wire where the wires came out the top. That would have fit perfect. Now for cable management :) Thanks. I7 13700 CB23 29000.
@Retired_Medic , im glad you got it completed and fair enough about the difficulty on the right side..it was definitely something I was concerned about and as you stated I did attach them with the motherboard loose. But overall it wasn't as bad as I thought it could be. But, as you said...misery is within the scope of this project...thank you for the report. That's one vote for attaching cables before screwing down the motherboard! Overall, would you recommend anybody use Project Zero Boards on this case? Thanks for the awesome update!
Hi morgan3625, I don't think so, if you want to use Aura Sync, you have to use what they provide. I would suggest taking a look at SignalRGB, it will control your RGB lighting on Asus Motherboards and is a better piece of software overall. There is a free version, so check it out. I did a video on SignalRGB, check it out here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RN6pz_xOJ1c.html Thanks for Watching!
My bazooka v2 b450 only has a 4 pin rgb header I only have a 3 pin connector what do I do? I am a noob and new to rgb. All I need to hook up is 4 fans with rgb. For my montech air 100 case
Hi Aaron-hd8ql, As you stated, that motherboard only has a single 4 pin RGB connector. The 4 pin connectors are 12v rgb headers. You would need to use 12v RGB devices with it, which are not that common anymore. 3 PIN ARGB is what is generally in use right now and the two are not compatable. However, there are solutions for you. They do make RGB hubs that can take a 12v RGB signal and convert it to 5v 3 pin ARGB devices. For an example, check out this link, it's a non-affiliate amazon link. a.co/d/fK4L0Os This hub would connect to your 4 pin rgb connnector and you select the switch on the hub to use 12v, then connect your 5v 3 pin argb devices and you would get basic rgb control. This is a basic inexpensive solution. You could also add a 5v ARGB controller to you setup and just not use the header on your motherboard, there are many rgb controllers out there that are standalone, or you could look at ones from corsair and others, but this would be more of an investment, there are lots of options. If it's just really basic single color RGB you want, then the hub above is a good option, but that's just one of many, search around, but that should give you an idea of what your looking for. The hub above would also give you a PWM fan hub. Good Luck, have fun with it!! Thanks for watching!!!
Ill probably end up going with the pro due to the fact that I can connect two rgb hubs and get 12 rgb fan control off one device. Ill plug in 6 fans on the com pro and the other 9 to my mobo. Thanks!
Hi there, I am a new subscriber, first of all I really enjoy your videos, second, in your opinion, for Atx motherboards which one do you prefer the most, the Musetex K2 or the Y6, beforehand thank you so much 🫡
Hi Indelebleu, thank you for your support!!! For standard ATX, the K2 is more suited to that and I do like that case, i've been playing around with it. ATX will work in the Y6 it was just a tight fit and I preferred MATX in the Y6. I like the Y6 case better than the K2 in the looks and layout, but the K2 has been a cool looking case as well. I plan to do a follow up video soon when time allows. Out of the two cases, I prefer MATX in the Y6, but either way is fine. Good luck and Have fun, thanks for watching!!!
@@HardwareArtisan thank you so much for replying and also for your kindness. I really appreciate it. I’ll be waiting for the video, it sounds really interesting.🫡 Have a nice weekend @HardwareArtisan
Dude thank you for this video! It's helped me think about how i can make a build with a custom loop, two thin rads, with a gpu and cpu water block. You covered some dimensions that are not noted in the build manual. You're awesome!
Hi youryella, that's awesome!!! I love hearing that, thanks for the feedback. Sounds like an awesome build coming up, which is what makes PC building so awesome, do it your way and have fun with it. Let us know how it works out, I like your ideas!! Thanks for watching!!!
