Hi Coop It’s been a long time that I’ve seen you on RU-vid. I just subscribed to your channel. I hope you are doing well. May God continue to bless you Coop😀🙏🏾👍🏽
I have them both and they're good but for me the Rumble brings out the bass tones cleaner so I use the GK as a rehearsal amp. Also the settings mean a whole lot, but to each his own, I forgot to mention that I have the Rumble 800 combo which has a lot more head room than both but it's Rumble for me.
PERSONALY!Theres not to much of a difference in my opinion.1st of all he needs to come out of a better full souding amp cause you mostly hear alot of passiveness because the amps not loud enough and maybe hes to close up on the camera.Maybe thats why i think they both sound similar. When i dont get goose bumps iim not feeling it.And when somthings really poppin i get goose bumps.
I'm used to own GK rig (2 RB200 and 4x10 cab) and love them but in this comparrison the Fender sounds way better than GK. Fender sounds more natural and it is not exagerated in any frequencies. Hands down. Congrats for great video and awesome playing!!!
You compared a 2x10 to a 2x12 but got hung up on the wattage. If someone prefers the sound of 12s then they're going to prefer the GK. If they prefer the sound of 10s... they're probably going to like the Rumble.
I like the fender Rumble it has more definition specially for slap , Gk sounded muff and volume lower , fender definitely more clear , i did the same thing in Store came out with a ( fender 500 , i was so amazed when i heard the rumble i called my son on the Phone and said listern to this , he said wow!!! Dad what in the world is that , he's the real bass Player, i couldn't rest ,even while looking for something to fit my desire, in my mind rumble was rumbling until i got it . cant go wrong , to be even more precise , its desire and what you're looking for in sound to be complete, to represent you, then quality, Some like this some are drown to that , being the best in the box with whatever you have to represent, dont be found without that Rumble great investment for the money option plug to add more cabinets to make an even greater sound , save yourself some time and money taking amps back , trading in go on get the rumble and be done with.
The GK doesn't sound more powerful or like it has a better tone. They aren't set up the same. All bass and no mids on the GK. These are the settings for low, low-mid, high-mid, high Fender: 5 4 4 8 GK: 10 3 1 5 Also, there's a reason that 10" speakers are much more popular for bass than 12". Better tone.
I don't know if it was your amp eq settings but the GK sounds brighter and cleaner (Great for popping and slapping) the rumble seems to have more low end, or is that a just a differnce in eq? It's 7 years since you released this video and I've just my hands on a rumble 500. I gigged with it the other day and it cuts through the mix like a knife threough butter. No complaints so far.
Thanks my friend. I have to come back and post new content. I'm a tractor and trailer driver. I drive to New York City about 6 days a week from Philadelphia, Pa. Long hours running around New York City. (Lol!). I'm not young anymore. (Lol!). Much respect and thank you once again. 👌😉
That was horrible! There’s no way a Markbass amp is THAT distorted flat. I don’t know if you had the volume too loud and it was clipping the recording… No way this is useful as a comparison video. Honestly, this video should’ve never been uploaded because it misrepresents Markbass.
man, despite being a phone mic a meter away from both, I guess that sound filled the room all the way to the phone, GK sounded a bit more powerful to me with the attack, especially of the lows and a bit more character with the preamp voice
The only problem with the fedora copy is that the neck is not on an angle so because the neck is not on an angle the best does not feel comfortable when you're holding
