Hey Firearms Enthusiasts, welcome to my little corner of RU-vid! Here you'll find a variety of shooting-fun related videos, from Major 3-Gun tournaments and Exhibition Shooting Videos, to some local shoots with friends and family. It has been suggested that I record some gun reviews as well, so stay tuned for those.
At my core I am just a "plinker" who enjoys competition. I have been shooting since I was kid and what skill I might display comes from years of shooting, not lots of ammo ($$$). The Exhibition videos (aka Trick Shots) grew out of what I do best...goofing off at the range! So, if you have a minute please watch a video or two and let me know what you think.

Super Cool! How do you keep clean and maintenance after a couple of 100 rounds? I was told not to take off the handguard and tamper too much with the BCG?
You can remove the bolt for cleaning easily (just like an AR by removing the charging handle and slipping it out the rear of the upper. My PK1 comp is self cleaning. So no need to remove the handguard.
You know i always knew my rounds were leaning left but i am relatively new to handgun shooting but my Captain also noticed it but he figured it was the sights, i have yet to try less than 230 grains. Ill have to trt shooting 185s soon. Thank you for pointing that out because i thought it was my own personal gun being flawed and not the design
@@PatrickEKelley3gunfun I am 68 and a first time gun buyer with this and a couple of others. I admit I'm joining the community late, but better late than never as they say. I kept seeing stories about those who would remove our 2A rights and that drove me to act. Good job anti gunners! I'm having a ball and meeting some good people.
Poorly balanced, terrible weight distribution, bad hand grips, etc...only good parts on mine were the AFTERMARKET adjustable sights I installed. Waste of money by the way. Try this people...without shooting...pick a fake target, close your eyes, draw and aim, open your eyes and see just how POORLY it points....there's NOTHING GOOD ABOUT IT....
Pronounced KAN ICK...not jonick.....unless you're southern...and it's the SHITTIEST gun I've ever put in my hand. WALTHER BLOWS IT AWAY 10X...My PPS is more accurate and better shooting. Just a crap gun...STAY AWAY FROM CANIK!!!!
Mine i just got is the same. Had to move the rear sight waaaay right and the groups with standard .355, 9mm bullets is not great. About 3” groups @ 25 yds handheld w sandbag. Using for steel for now with .356, 100gr fmj (380 bullets) and 3.2 gr cfe powder and it shoots like a rimfire for recoil and groups are better. Doing an iCore match this weekend, my first, and have a 147gr w 4.2 gr cfe for the 120pf min to be legal. Been practicing my weak hand reloads. Lots of fun just wish it was more accurate. 😏 Maybe i can try 357 mag bullets in it? Will they work in my 9mm brass?? Hmmmm….
@@PatrickEKelley3gunfun I discovered that my crown has a burr on it. Reshaped the crown and now the 929 is accurate. I can put 5 shots at 25 yards within a 1” circle now! Seemed to me that many edges on the machining of this gun were very rough and sharp. Had to smooth the forcing cone inside and out too. Will polish the insides soon too. Seems to me that S&W makes sub par firearms that do not work well out of the box unless they are ‘smithed’ a bit. 😏
No Bull Dirt. Common sense. Professional. See the best in all makes of pistols. Debunks the bunk. Refreshing in the world of B S. reviews of people regurgitating what 'they heard' and 'read' and 'were told'. Pistols are beautiful. Excellent presentation 👍👍
4-2024 I just bought the P-09 Suppressor Ready and I love it. Bullseye accurate from the first shot Stock out of the box. Best pistol I've owned in 59 years of shooting. And a bargain at 499.oo, 2 - 21rd. Magazines. I think the only change I'll make is a green fiber optic front sight. What a bullseye bargain👍👍
I've been looking for a Sphinx for over a year. Hen's teeth to find. I just came across a used one a week ago and snatched it up! I absolutely adore it! It's a 2015 mfrd but shoots perfectly. Now, I just found a new old stock and bought it! I love your reviews. Interesting, funny, and informative. Thank you.
That the X Calibur even as match gun didnt get smaller groups than 2 inch was disappointing. But seeing this it seems like a general problem with GP. From other reviews we can see that you are capable of smaller groups with other guns like the P30 and P30L
What a terrific review, Patrick. I have the B22 FV-SR, my first rifle since I was a youngster (I'm 78), and I would have purchased it even sooner, had I run across your video. I did a whole bunch of research, especially considering it's such an affordable rifle, and got mine in the Mossy Oak Overwatch stock. What a great shooter. I'm getting very tight groups at 50', with optic, but want to stretch out to 100' now having seen your video. Thanks again for such a watchable and detailed review.
@@PatrickEKelley3gunfun OK then. Sounds like I have another upgrade. Recently installed a Franklin Arms binary trigger. Lovin that thing. Thanks for the info.
Thank you for the honest review. I’m looking at purchasing this gun but now I’m a little hesitant and want to see what else is out there. What would you recommend that is a similar spec but in your opinion a better more accurate gun?
Where do you get the rails, the barrels, and bushings from? Genesis Arms themselves? I asked one time to see if I could buy a keymod rail like the ones they used to have on the older Gen12s, or the ones used on the John Wick version, and was told no.
They only sell complete guns and uppers other than the small parts like magazine release, and Magwells. I’ve purchased several guns over the last three years.
im bummed to hear its a philippine gun. never had good long lasting reliability with armscor/ria/ati 1911s made in that country. it can look pretty all it wants but it needs to stay good and not just look & work good at first.
