Hey, Patrick just pick this gun up. 4/1/2020 took it to the range fire FEDERAL 36 GRAIN THROUGH IT. Plus some other bulk ammo dam this fired everything!!!! 500rds no malfunctions of any kind. Also got three PMR 30 , 2 ARE 2018 & 1 2019 All fire fantastic. Keep up the great gun reviews. Thanks Ham&egger
I first came across Mr. Kelley in the Ruger Tactical Tips series he did a few years ago. I still like watching him shoot. Box to match reviews is a great series. It’s not the ordinary type of review video you might find
You are the "right guy" in this case! I have no problem being corrected (none of us should be) so long as the correction is...correct! Best to you sir.
I purchased one several months ago and I love this gun But let's start by getting the specs correct. It is called the CP33 because it comes with two 33 round magazines and Not 32 round magazines! They recommend loading 20 or 25 rounds for the first few times before loading the full 33 rounds in these mags! I loaded all 33 rounds in my gun right out of the box and it shot without a flaw. I also purchased another Magazine and with it, the 17 round extension which gives me a 50 round magazine and I also have a Auto Loader from "LUDEX", which I ordered from Amazon, which makes loading these mags without a flaw! A SIDE NOTE: You must also keep these mags clean and dirt free because this Gun is designed without a Feed Ramp, so the design of the magazine acts as the Feed Ramp, so they recommend frequent cleaning of these mags for a Failure free shooting experience! I have almost 1000 rounds through mine and I have not experienced any Failures, Except with a slight problem in the very beginning with the very first round hanging up in the chamber when racking the slide but the user guide says to "Sling Shot" that first round from the mag into the chamber and do not use the slide release! No problems since then but for only a DUD Round now and then! VERY ACCURATE & RELIABLE GUN!
My 11-year-old said dad Mr. Kelly’s got another gun review! Now I have to buy him a Keltec. But, let us be honest, I’m going to shoot the mess out of it!
I have said it before and will say it again. I love your child like enthusiasm! Nice shooting. I was just looking at the new Taurus 22LR, but will have to investigate this one.
That pistol looks like a blast! I grew up shooting thousands of rounds of .22 long rifle. A lot of it without hearing protection, not smart. Now at 53 I have some ringing in the ears, tinnitus, but still love my firearms and the 2nd Amendment. Look forward to picking one of these up.
I run a KelTec Gen 2 Sub 2K in PCC and now the CP33 in Rimfire in Steel Challenge. Both have C-More Railway Red dot's. They both run flawless and are very accurate. Perfect Steel Challenge Duo.
I got one in March and I love mine. I’ve run about 900 rounds and had just 3 failure to feed the first round. Other than that it’s worked great. Running cci standard and suppressed for all those rounds. It’s been super reliable for me. I only thing I don’t really like is the charging handle feels a little cheap and mags you do have to pull out..they fit very snug. Also extra mags are 49.95 each!!! Only place I can find them right now is from kel tec direct but man the gun is great, accurate and great trigger.
I didn't know you were a BE shooter, and a really good one at that. It would be great to see some precision shooting on your channel. There is little of it on RU-vid. I'm sure they would not be as popular, but those "in the know" would appreciate.
Awesome videos on your channel! Stumbled across your trigger control video then proceeded to watch something like 50 others. Quick question on the CP33 - Would this be a pistol you would recommend to someone just getting in to pistol shooting? If not, any other recommendations for a good .22 to learn on?
The CP33 is light weight, easy to use, wears a good set of sights and has a great trigger. All great features for a newer shooter to the most advanced recreational enthusiast!
@@PatrickEKelley3gunfun Thanks for the reply. Now to see if I can find someone in town who has a CP33 in stock! And keep up the great work on the channel!
Hey neighbor, fantastic video; I loved watching it. I’m a little concerned you beat yourself up too much though if your string isn’t perfect. I guess once you get accustomed to perfect it’s hard to accept any less. Cheers
Yea, I need to "regulate" myself a bit better. I have no business having expectations of a great performance with so many different "Out of the Box" guns.
I got my CP33 today and out of the box the rear sight was all the way to the left, the first mag had 2 out of battery shots that scared me a bit. After that I gave the cp33 a good inspection, no damage due to problems and I gave it a good cleaning and lubricating. After that no problems with 5 mag dumps. I have it topped with a Holosun HE508t elite optic, man talk about ACCURATE. I'm glad it's running good now, I definitely would recommend lubricating the cp33 before running it. It appears to have a smooth bore barrel, is yours a smooth bore?
I also think it's funny how other reviewers are jamming 33 rounds in the mag and then saying the first round snags. I like how you say 32 in the mag and you had zero first round loading issues from what I saw, although it seems when they break in that you can get away with 33 in the mag without a loading issue.
.22LR has such a bad rap but the reality is it is: 1. Extremely accurate 2. Deadly to 500 yards+(Especially .22 Magnum) 3. Minimal recoil 4. High capacity 5. Lower DB sound 6. Not looked at as an assualt weapon or bad guy gun, etc. 7. Cheaper priced ammo 8. Cheaper priced weapons 9. Minimal malfunctions (depending on weapon and ammo) 10. Just straight fun for all ages
@@tcswag801 if you watch the IraqVeteran8888 video he shows the range on "how far will a .22 kill?" Plus that was a .22lr not a .22 Magnum which has the same ballistics as a FN 5.7 round.
I can handle recoil of bigger guns just fine so all the downsides for 22lr is. Low power, takes 5 hits (even with good shot placement) to kill somebody Literally most guns have high capacity 30 round mags (Glocks, Ar-15s, AKMs etc) Cheaper priced ammo but when SHTF or an Ammo shortage happens 22 becomes insanely expensive and hard to find. It does malfunction alot actually
@@Sig_P229 You must mean similar ballistics but on a much smaller scale. An AK-47 and assault rifles are designed to be deadly from 400-600 yards and that's with .223 rounds. NO WAY a twenty-two has that range of lethality. You have .22 mixed up with .223 measurements.
@@TasmanianWolves Speaking from my profession, I can say the round is extremely deadly. That aside, look on youtube. There are many videos showing accuracy for 300 to 500 yard shots and lethal tests. At 300 yards a .22LR penetrates a ballistics gel 11.5 inches. This pistol is .22 Magnum. It carries double the penetration, accuracy, and range. Ballistics for 22 magnum are extremely good and very comparable to a .223.
So we have our amazon echo set for daily alarms for meal time for my dog. A few times I set an alarm for something else as a reminder, like if I have to leave in 15 mins. Unfortunately, it makes the dog salivate like crazy just hearing that sound. This makes me wonder if Patrick is going to draw his weapon and start looking for something to shoot if a random kid were to walk up with a toy that makes the same tone of beep.
@@PatrickEKelley3gunfun Thanks! Not doubting your abilities with irons, but I bet those groups might tighten up a bit with a magnified optic and a stock or pistol brace. I could see this pistol (setup properly) being a very fun varmint gun.
Only the best I HAVE used. I've been wearing Rx shooting eyewear for years and have tried lots of the known purveyors. They have been fine for me, but lacked true ANSI spec protection. Hunters HD Gold's are not only ANSI but provide a outstanding image quality!
It's called a kilt, and they've become very popular in the last few years. It started with the UtiliKilt brand, which are $300, but now there's at least a dozen brands in the market, many under $100. Heck, even 5.11 Tactical has done a few production runs of kilts. And yes, the 5.11 kilts are very nice.
I understand, but I have lots of 22's and...22's will malfunction on occasion, with ammo being the biggest culprit. Once the magazines broke-in on the CP33 it ran perfectly.
