I'm sure everyone's seen The Basics on Rock Lords recently, but apparently it wasn't even an original idea at the time. Loads of transforming robot toys were doing rocks and Gobots was just jumping in on the popularity. They were extremely popular for the first year or so, fell off, and it was a decade later when everyone started making fun of the idea.

It seems like all the robo revolution guys have that crucifix thing. I guess it's their equivalent of an autobot emblem.

Great video, this was my childhood Optimus Prime and one day on a car ride at a stoplight the figure slid off of my seat and underneath the front seat of the car and I never saw it again. I looked for it hundreds of times but I never found it somehow. Always thought it was an underrated Optimus figure

I actually love this figure too, sure the head not getting covered in truck mode annoys me, but in a good way if you know what I mean. 😅

Oddly enough, I think the classic Nissan Fairlady Z transformer-body, like Prowl or Bluestreak, could be a compromise between a capable transformer design and the need to put an obvious pair of big headlights on a fembot. For real though, I like this figure. Something about the big fans on the shoulders really make Nautica stand out.

Here me out... we need a voyager class unicron, a unicron merch that wouldnt break the bank (and toy shelf) and just be a nice little fiddle toy, how to make voyager into a ball without going nuts on parts count? No clue! (maybe two folding hemispheres that sit on his back similar to Armada), my dumb idea is to give him an attack helicopter alt mode where the rotors fold to become his wings and he comes with a Dark starsaber to wield as well as lots of hidden molded missiles in a chest cavity because reasons. I guess consider it a continuation of the Cybertron thing.

Honestly I never understood the hate this figure got. It's a pretty good incarnation of g1 prime. Although I could be biased because it was my first g1 prime. (Grew up on Armada)

Rodimus is my jam and this is definitely one of my faves of him. Really hope they both get to remaking the line and can't wait to see/get him again.

My great great aunt and uncle bought me this toy in 2013, I loved it so much and i broke it and had to throw it away. I’m definitely going to have to buy another one now that I’m getting back into transformers!

This may not be a great figure, but the version of this that came in the two pack with Megatron was my first Prime and will always be my favorite Prime

Definetly designed as an action figure first, and Transformer second. Still want one to pair with the Classics deluxe Megatron.

I picked this up secondhand as an adult collector and I loved it. Not the gimmick, that was shite. But for posing dramatically? Slag, yeah! He felt like he stepped off the screen compared with my G1 Optimus. He was the centrepiece of my display. That was until Masterpiece took me. God that truck mode is vile.

I still stand by the fact that this is in the bottom 5 of all Optimus figures.

the regular version was one of my first transformers, got him with the movie fast action battler. i still love this fugure tho, and if they changed him up make the thighs collapse and replaced the spinny gimmick with a swivel he would be almost perfect.
