Good video, and like you I went all over and have similar reviews as you largely. CDO is great as on the right side of Mindano, and uptown is close and a few degrees cooler. Mindanao had great women to date and for a relationship. Malaybaly is nice, but I like to be near transportation and it and Davao don't check that box although I like both. Butuan nice, but not much to do and transport. I'll try Dipolog and that general area next time, but all my travels I have CDO at the top. I love Makati and Cubao, but not for a newbie as you need to live there and learn the ropes.
@@brentstrippin8867 I new plenty in TAG CITY by airport n pier thought further out be more limited CHEERS good to know Btw side note lol called it well regards September from Perth western Australia to Manila via Kula Lumpur Malaysia. RETURN $390. AUD (15000php ) How can I say no to a 2 week trip for my 42nd birthday 😀😀
Staying somewhere for a few days is very different from living there long-term. But then I'm more of a city guy, enjoying trips to the boonies but liking coming back to my city condo. 11 years in the Philippines and that's always worked for me.
IMO, Panglao is way too touristy and Alona Beach is average at best. Ferry is scheduled for 2 hours to Cebu. In reality one and a half hours to one hour 45 minutes. I did like the food options too because there’s an awesome vegan place there couple different ones actually. But it’s definitely worth a visit to check out and rent a scooter. Brent did you go to Hinagdanan Cave? Impressive. But I would recommend going there early to get there by 8 AM before the crowds and you can have a nice swim. Peace brother keep up the good work 🙌
Is the beach at Villa de Gloria swimmable? I live in Cebu, my gf is a Boholana from Tagbilaran. I've been to eight different islands and all of the popular resort places in the Philippines and i still haven't found a beach that is as nice or as swimmable as even a mediocre beach on Oahu. We've been to dozens of beaches on Bohol.
You don’t drink and don’t appear to be a sexpat. I’d recommend hitting up HuaHin Thailand for a few weeks, then head over to DaNang Vietnam for a bit…if ya really want to stretch the time out move on over to Bali.
be carefull married woman and under 21 can get you in jail ,,,,,understan a woman ,,,you nr 1 she is 2,,always plan for her,,,and you,,,support but she must do something in exchange for you,,,,dont give it free
Spot on the start of any relationship in the philippines with an age gap is transactional. I' understand that a lot of these wemon tell them self, I can learn to love this man ! I'm sure it works out sometimes ❤❤❤. . Take your time!! There is no advantage to a retired man over here to get married!!! Best of luck and there is a nouther Filipina out there if she is in a rush.
Brent, you. Nailed it.. I have been bouncing around the Philippines for two years trying to find a location that suits my lifestyle, found Panglao and have been here the last 6 months… Alona beach is the third best beach on Panglao. Everything you mentioned was dead on, particularly about the traffic and roads… brownouts are at similar frequency to anywhere else.. glad you are enjoying it…
Check out Dumaluan Beach also in Panglao........I liked it more than Alona...It has cheap parking on site and is less crowded. On the northern part of Bohol there is Anda Beach which is not bad also
From what I have read, Panglao is kind of expensive for what you get. Maybe living there long term away from the tourist areas or in Bohol it's not so bad. I've also heard to it has lots of power outages, same as Dumaguete.
Brent, Many thx looks like a great location , plus you appear to be having fun.. Also I'm with you 100% on the non scuba diving thing, if we'd been meant to do it, we would have had gills ...lol... Cheers Glenn
Ive been to panglao. Bohol was my favorite island because it was clean and kind of reminded me of Hawaii. My wife is a Filipina and would love to live in bohol. Alona beach was beautiful!!😊
RETIRE IN PHILIPPINES IN 2035 BECAUSE WE HAVE THIS: Philippines will be building the SKY MANILA, they would put Metro Manila's 100 km x 100 km land area up by 50 meters using 500,000 posts. There will be three levels, the ground level is the existing land, all vehicles would use the ground level, hundreds of MRT and LRT would use the second level and therefore reducing massive amount of vehicles using the ground level and less traffic, the third level would be vehicle less area, yes no cars, trucks, jeepneys. SKY MANILA is walking , jogging, biking, scooting area. It will be full of skyscrapers no less than 300 meters tall, condos, hotels and offices. Hundreds of parks, huge malls, millions of restaurants, thousands of hotels, several thousands of factories using all electric. All vehicles will be full electric, non-electric vehicle are not allowed. Many swimming pools, basketball, tennis, football courts, and many sports venues. Hundreds of entertainment arenas. It will have airport for helicopters or any vertical take off planes. This will be finished in 2035. Flood will be the thing in the past. From Filipino concept.
Alona Beach is super nice Was there in 08 and a few more times , last time was 2015, was getting commercialized, but again, very chill beach. Stayed on the beach only, didn't do the C hills or rest of the sight seeing....miss Alona Tropical resort, was at end of the beach near rock wall, now super resort territory. But if swimming and white sand and beautiful sunsets is your thing, this is the spot. Looking forward to getting back tbere Thanks for your video s
I thought Anda was an amazing beach but the area is province with distance between the resorts. Bantayan Island has a cool, peaceful fishing area vibe and has a wonderful long beach too. Hey, I am headed to Cebu in early Sep and am thinking about your recent trip.. I am thinking, fly to Coron, ferry to El Nido then take your wonderful van ride to Puerto P and fly back from there.. Is 2 weeks long enough for an enjoyable trip? I will skip Boracay...
I'm stuck on moving to Bohol. I will learn the language before I move there and I was told Boholano is a redneck variety of Cebuano even though Tagalog is spoken everywhere there. I think a move to Bohol would enrich your life, and give you lots of content from one island. Plus an active port to anywhere.
Thank you Brent! Bohol is on my list to visit for 5 days at the end of my trip starting 8/9. Love that place you are in! Looks like a very good place! Peace ☮️
If you have a serious medical emergency in Bohol you're a goner. It's a slow ferry ride to Cebu and then you'd have to navigate Cebu traffic from the port to an advanced care hospital. Waiting for a Bohol outbound flight and getting from the airport to the hospital isn't much faster.
Great video Brent! My wife is from Bohol and we plan on moving back there sometime within a year. I hope to bump into you when we do. Stay cool brah and keep the vids coming... especially the ones in Bohol 😄🤙🏾🌴
Nice place, perfectly understandable. Now for the older 55 plus; how far to the nearest hospital with good facilities in case of a heart attack or stroke? Anyone who really thinks practically, and not just romantically, weighs up these questions, too. School and leisure activities are also important for many families. Otherwise a really beautiful and perfect island...
Why not walk around the area while your talking? A mirror reflect while filming yourself while walking around any given location would make a strong video concept and would give viewers a chance to see the surroundings. If you try it for a month and don't get more views I understand. But, its worth a try.
