I had the same problem. Have a lot of brass I picked up at the range. Bought a bunch of SB RCBS dies to fix the problem. Also bought some Lyman case gauges. I saved so much brass through the years. I finally decided to keep only certain head stamps for each caliber. They are not from the same lot. But still come out accurate enough for me. Although I just bought some Peterson brass. Going to try the premium stuff finally.
I believe other than “Black” in the name, they are in no way similar, the Black Wolf is a carbon riser with Carbon limbs, black ek is an aluminum riser and I can’t say what limbs. Both are ILF fittings but otherwise completely different animals.
Thanks, if I never got on a motocross track, I think I would just pick the XR. However, most certainly when hitting big jumps the XR is not in its element. I wouldn’t even try it. The only other place a YZ outshines it is an ultra Technical Enduro style riding where you’re jumping ledges and rocks. If you were riding forest trails, or open desert trails all the time. You would be just as happy on the XR.
Light years better (for me) than a Bear Grizzly, I have had a couple bear Grizzly recurves. Good reliable bows, a good solid bow, but nothing remarkable, just good. I like the look of, and tool-less design of the bear takedown, but I wouldn’t buy a non vintage bear because of quality issues that are always a problem. So I would rank the Striker a 9/10 a Grizzly a 7/10 (if it’s a vintage one).
I have a rcbs in 6.5 and no matter what I've done if i run a case through it it wont chamber new dies new Tikka rifle iam going to buy a different set I've ruined about 10 before i new i had problem and then another 10 trying to figure it out if that's the problem rcbs is getting a nasty email from me.
I have only heard good things about Tikka accuracy, they look a little plain to me, but the accuracy has been touted well by people I know who have them.
I reload for. Ten different calibers and my three hundred w s m has always been a bit of a problem child I had to work with a lot more than the other 10 calibers that I do, it's. Finicky I guess
It is fairy soft recoiling, I have a 22” barrel Xbolt 308, shooting 165 accubonds around 2750, and it feels about the same, the longer action 7mm and 26” barrel seem to tame some of the recoil. But, the loads I’m using are 160 gr at 2950 on average, so really they are middle of the road 7mm loads and the 308 are full loads so they shouldn’t feel much different. I don’t think it kicks any worse than a 270 Win.
I have the hells canyon long range in 300 win mag...I shoot factory barnes vortex ttsx 180 gr and literally put 3 shots in 1 hole...I don't even reload for it because I could not do better...I've had /have alot of good solid 1in to .5 in guns but nothing like this gun...at my camp my rifle has been nick named 1 HOLE WILLY 😂 and he has takin some small wagers against a couple 3k custom set ups that my friends have...I make sure they don't forget it either😂
I'll tell ya I have a hard time believing a 7Mag will get that velocity with a 160Gr bullet, 3000FPS is about the norm for a 160, and maybe, maybe 3100 if you really loaded it hot. To each their own, but if you're at nearly 3100 with that bullet I would feel uneasy about the pressures its creating. RL26 from their website shows a charge of 67 Gr RL26 produces 3014 FPS from a 24" tube. I'd think again if its a 7MM Rem mag. A 7mm Weatherby would do that much though.
Basically what I said was that my velocities are legitimate. Look up The Real Ginsmith video “reloading tips with 7mm Rem mag”. That will explain how I get those velocities.
I watched that video. I’ve always enjoyed his videos, here’s where I’m coming from. He talks about needing to throat out the chamber to allow the bullet to be seated longer and have a magazine box that allows that. Those two things right there eliminate uploading the seven mag in many factory rifles. if you’re interested in creating a custom rifle to maximize the cartridge that’s fine, there’s nothing wrong with that and that’s fine. if you’re going to use a factory rifle like I am and you’re gonna load for accuracy, you’re probably gonna end up between 2900-3050 ft./s with a 160 Accubond. Playing with slower burning powders you can push that number upwards but ultimately what’s the point? Anywhere in that range is a very effective hunting projectile. And at 200 300 400 and 500 yards. There’s no practical difference between a load at one end of that spectrum and another. Reliability is a key factor to me. Pushing pressure envelopes to obtain 50 or 100 more feet per second or even 150 ft./s. Ultimately gives me no tangible benefit. I’m gonna post a link to a video of someone whose life was nearly lost along with his sister because they had a hot load in a large magnum rifle. The primer blew out of the case and jammed the action. They were then left nearly defenseless to a large Alaskan brown bear. Thankfully, they found their pistol that they had a one point dropped and were able to stop the bear. I’m happy to sacrifice 100 or 200 ft./s to avoid a scenario like that. The primer in the rifle fell into the action in a way that jammed the Bolt. And they acknowledge that they were very hot loads. Most likely no one will ever encounter that scenario again. Or it’s so unlikely to that it’s not really a statistically significant issue. But not loading to the maximum pressures that are often above book numbers, helps you avoid that type of issue. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VyO5Vs2huhg.html&pp=ygUgQWxtb3N0IGRpZWQgYmVhciBzdHVjayBuIHR0ZSBydXQ%3D
I got a browning x bolt 375h&h, i had a browning BAR chambered in 300 win mag. Dude them guns are accurate af. My dream gun has been the browning 7mm rem mag
Xr400r is one of the best all-round dirtbikes you can own. Does tight wood trails, mx courses, higher speed open trails, dessert and touring. Not brilliant at any of them but can do it. It's basically the toyota hilux of bikes.
It really is, truthfully it doesn’t belong in the air and on a track, it can manage small stuff if the suspension has been set up to handle it, but ANYWHERE else it’s fantastic. I’ve taken it on trail, desert and enduro terrain with all of the modern 300cc two strokes and done better in many situations and only in a few had the liability of all the extra weight. It’s a fantastic machine.
CAPS 2C NOT SHOUTING. I AM THE LATEST TO FALL INTO THE NOT FULL SIZE DIE TRAP. HAVE JUST ORDERED SMALL BASE DIES, BOTH RCBS AND READING. HOPE THEY WORK.. PS THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO MAKE YOUR VIDEO… JR SRQ FL.
For whatever reason, them Japanese Browning X-bolts are stupid accurate. I recently inherited one from my uncle before he passed. It only took me 4 rounds to sight it in, because the windage never changed on each shot. Just had to adjust the elevation. The 4th shot was just to verify if my theoretical 200yd zero(zeroed 1.5" high at 100yd) was good for 300yd. It was dead on. It's crazy how a factory rifle can be so accurate with absolutely no modifications. The Japanese definitely make these rifles with a lot of love and passion.
Thanks, one of the great outcomes from this was to find that those short bear bows aren't as slow as they may have been made out to be. I have owned 3 different super mags at different times and have enjoyed each one. K Mag I haven't had yet but would love to.
I haven’t shot any through it yet as I pretty much exclusively shoot hand loads in all my guns. But during the past two years ammo shortage I did come across some Federal premium nickel plated brass with 160 Accubonds and I grabbed a couple boxes. So I think it would be fun to compare velocity of the load I made with the factory load (should be real similar as I didn’t try and max out my velocity) and compare accuracy of the two. I have a couple rifles I want to shoot and test loads and over this coming Christmas break. I’ll try to remember to take this out and report back with how these factory loads shot versus the reloads.
So I just went out for a few minutes today and shot some Federal Premium 160 Nosler Accubonds in it. 3 shots were .366" center to center! Even better than my best group with handloads has been!
I didn’t keep this one very long, I ran black wolf limbs on it, I had 40# and 50# limbs at different times. but my impressions are the carbon riser is silent, completely vibration free and the limbs are better than the carbon trad Velos satori limbs. They felt smoother in comparison and shot a few fps faster than a satori with carbon limbs. I liked the balance of the Black wolf way more than a satori, I was underwhelmed with the satori and would pick a BLack wolf again without hesitation. I went back to wood bows for the soul and style of them, the Black wolf is a serious performer.
@@Bowstringdotcom What are you using now? I waffle back and forth between the ILF and one piece bows. It's just hard to find a one piece with carbon that isn't an arm and a leg
I have a Striker Stinger takedown, R/D longbow limbs, 14” riser makes a 60” bow. I haven’t found anything that I can shoot as comfortably and as consistently, it just works for me. And it’s very confidence inspiring. The black wolf I should have given more time, but I made the decision because I like the look of wood and the feel of it too. Don’t get me wrong that Black wolf is neat looking, and a top shelf performer, but I missed the soul of wood. If I was to buy another ILF it would be the Black wolf. It’s limbs were better than the Satori Carbon Velos and the Uukah I tried, smoother and faster than both, the satori I would rank third of the three.
It seems like these are filling the niche that the Martin Savannah did/does. I've been wanting a Savannah, but they're kind of hard to come buy at the moment. However, there is a Striker Classic Deluxe in stock at 3Rivers. I might just pick that up.
See isn’t good. Now I want one of these bows and economic conditions are not good. I don’t like how much this archer likes this bow because now I have to figure out how I’m going to get one. This is just awful. I’m going have to resort to hard work and dedication and that’s just a terrible thing! I going to be sore and tired from work. I sure wish this fellow didn’t like the bow! 🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹😎
