You forgot to mention that Pollards lack of consistency had to do with him coming off an injury. Later in the year when he got better he was much more explosive
Chase and Higgins missed a lot of time so his target share went up but even the his efficiency has continued to dip. He's just not very explosive anymore.
46:15 a D on Drake London is pretty goddamn insane, even if you liked Garrett Wilson more. Even with horrendous QB play he's been an impact player for them. Can't really call that class a hit when the projection on the first 2 picks were so off imo.
Will Levis already exceeded my expectations. I did settle on him bring worth a second round pick, but I disagreed with your assessment and thought he’d be trash. Commented that here many times. He’s definitely not trash. I can admit when I’m wrong. Your evaluation was more accurate.
As a denverite...bo nix smoked us when cu played oregon..zero pressure with the broncos...it will take time...love.the raiders draft and.the bolts too... joe alt.is a beast.... and adding harbaugh...almost.not fair... last yr was a dud..this yr should be strong for the afc west...gonna b tough with the afc norte though..
I’m kinda pissed at this ranking a little bit they weren’t even this bad last year they made so many moves to atleast be 23 and up I would personally put them at 20
I think people need to stop looking at levis as a 2nd round pick they traded a high 2nd a d high 3rd. If you go by the trade chart even tho he was still a high 2nd the actual value they spent on him was a pick in the 20-24 range. Edit: @58:00 "skronski can put on more weight" have you seen him this year? Dude is massive. If he puts on more weight they could have just moved him to NT lol
I don't think loosing Henry is the downgrade you think it is. First he likely does t fit the new system regardless of what anyone thinks of him and pollard. Secondly he has been on a slow march downward the last could years. The run blocking unlike the pass blocking hasn't been terrible. Not great but not useless either. Pollard and Henry had basically the exact same production last year and pollard showed signs of improvement as he got future away from the injury. He also will have a back to split carries with here and won't have to be the guy. If you watch all the Titans games it was clear to see Henry has lost a steep, the top end speed is still good but not the game over level it once was. And his already limited acceleration is now starting to be a problem, he can't get to the edge as reliably as before as well as getting to that top speed leading him being caught before he can break the big ones. Not saying Henry is trash just he isnt the king anymore.
I was similar with Latham, I could see him as tackle 5 at best but I did look at him as a really high level pass pro, iz, gap, basically everything but oz guard. I still would have taken Olu if they wanted a more polished guy or Mims if they wanted a freak and hes the best freak level tackle prospect ive ever seen personally as his injuries were the only thing scaring me. I get what theyre going for though and I believe the idea is if they keep him about 340 like he showed up at the combine instead of 360 he can still be a brick shithouse but move more agile and better in his mirroring ability. Callahan can onviously coach that type of athlete he may become fundamentally sound and him around 340 could be similar to Wirfs where he was viewed as a better guard immediately our of college as a prospect but physically is a high end tackle in the league. Little bit different than Wirfs with longer arms, bigger hands and more athletic movement questions for being a tackle but thats the same mold still
@@londarousey8767 We'll see how it works out but I wouldn't doubt him to be a good tackle anymore yes. I still believe Mims and Olu were the two best prospects with Fuaga and Alt behind them and then it was Fautanu (will be a good tackle and could play all 5 tbh but I liked him at guard a little better as a zone guard), Morgan, and Latham as far as tackles. Thats what I saw on film
I think there's maybe some more hope here? They kind of have a roster that feels a little similar to the Bucs from last year. Need some thin groups to avoid injury, need some young questions to hit. The Bucs were helped by how awful the NFC South is, but the AFC South has been pretty volatile in recent years (I think I remember the eventual division winner being called one of the worst rosters in recent history?), so what I'm saying is there's a chance.
I found one small mistake. Marcus said Jaelyn Duncan played at Michigan whereas he actually played at the University of Maryland. I know that because I am a Maryland fan. I can remember his senior year of HS, there were two four star Offensive Tackle prospects in Maryland, Rasheed Walker and Jaelyn Duncan, and there was a decent debate about who the better prospect was.
Marcus this series is the best of the off season as it prepares me perfectly for the new season. I hope you are right about Levis and he can develop this year. I expect this team to be a little better than your analysis as their weapons look better to me and the Oline should also be servicable.
Marcus again a fantastic analysis. I feel you are somewhat too optimistic about the team as you give Dave Canales too much praise. I feel this team is still the worst in the league. The offense is totally unproven and the defence regressed.
I don't get why the media doesn't give this team little to no respect they made a lot of moves this off-season and they may have hired an amazing head coach in Brian Callahan who can potentially make Will Levis a Superstar QB that this franchise hasn't had since Steve McNair RIP. Mike Vrabels defensive mind would of probably ruined him low-key.
Him talking about Levis even having him at 28 gave me optimism for what’s to come. I would also like to ask about when you said Levis had the tendency to force the ball where he shouldn’t have. How many of those throws were to DHop? Very possible DHop was in his head asking for that ball. Now that he has Ridley and Boyd and a hopefully good offensive head coach I expect that area to be his biggest improvement
Pats Panthers Raiders Giants Skins Vikings Are all clearly inferior teams. TN should be ranked no lower than 24. Didn't love the draft, but the CB and WR corps are both top 10. Levis is definitely slept on, he does have errant throws, but last year with 1 starting caliber WR and maybe the worst o line in the league, he looked like a real qb. Fuck the stats, watch the film. I wouldn't be shocked if they win the division. People are shocked that Vrabel got fired, but dude wanted a 90s offense in the 21st century .
Talking about Tevin Coleman brought me back to Madden 20 or 21 where I signed him in franchise mode and he became an elite receiving back for me for like 4 or 5 seasons 😂
@@lucaslondon5240 we all love Daboll but it didnt help last year and they lost on offense if not the most important piece for their success. We will see with Peyton but the only coach able to elevate bad lineups consistently has been what Tomlin?
@@Blacklightthe41 I disagree I think Payton is a top 5 head coach and Daboll top 10 which plays a big factor in success for me. Just in terms of setting up great game plans, identifying talent, and having adaptable schemes
@@lucaslondon5240 im just saying able to elevate a bad roster which they both have right now. I think daboll overachieved his first year with the giants. I live the guy and wish him success but top 10 idk… payton again ill see if he can overcome the situation but recently he he aint excel a lot with a much better roster and situation with the saints or last years broncos. Yeah hes been great historically but most recently im not seeing that overcoming.
@@Blacklightthe41 definitely fair, my point is that just having the more reliable and trusted coach gives the team a better floor. But the questions you raised on daboll are fair. I do disagree with Payton though.
This isn't.... The run first Titans of yrs past... I truly believe, that in this new pass heavy offense....pollard is an upgrade over Henry! Pollard runs better routes, catches out of the backfield, etc .. ???? Your just comparing name recognition, star power, .... It's s new era in Titans football!!!:
