Hey man when positive not connected to battery I get a light test positive on both part of solenoid, when I connect positive cable to battery the light stops for the positive side of solenoid, left side of solenoid still lights, fuses are good
Thanks for the video. do you have any idea what would cause the gauge to have nothing working on it? the ski will start and run fine, but none of the lights on the multi function gauge work or come on at all. They dont have any readings.
Hey man I have a 2001 KDX220R, it runs great but it won't idle at all. When I first start it (choke on or off) it'll idle good for about a minute then won't idle at all. Fully warmed up, it doesn't wanna idle at all. If I tighten the idle all the way, it'll idle for a second or two then die. I just replaced the filter and spark plug but it still doesn't want to. The last filter was missing the middle of it because it was so old and I cleaned the carb twice, I'm gonna clean it again now that it has the new filter and clean the entire bike, but I'm so confused on what to do about the idle. I wanna sell the bike or add power and make it a mx bike but I can't do that with it not idling at all. Please help 🙏
You should get out of the habit of taking apart a dirty anything. Your pan of soapy water actually has to have some soap in it.! What do you think your in the Amazon Jungle or something? And talking about overlooking something, how about putting some chamfer on that blank of a piston ! Should have an 1/8 "round edge on the lower exh. skirt and a little less on the intake and all edges should be smoothed .Just like the cylinder. Ultimate build my foot. not yet at least ! '
So many videos showing the crank oil seal (clutch side) being fitted one way or the other IE spring side (backwards) facing out and spring facing in so what's the right way ?
ditch the single carb setup go back to the dual carbs the banshee engine was designed that way for a reason. you’ll have a completely different machine on your hands if you do that
Hi! Great video first of all. In minuto 2:55, when you're painting, do you use some special coat or method? Or is it just high temperature paint and you heat it to make it more durable?
I became familiar with powder coating for exterior parts. Jeep steps, Jeep bumpers, tow bars & such. 1 complaint I have is the finish loses it shine REAL quick. I used to shoot a coat of gloss black paint over it to restore it. BUT, my biggest complaint, maybe because it is in an outdoor environment is by & by the metal under the coating will begin to rust. And soon you will see the coating start to lift, then, fall off. Maybe, under the hood powder coating does not suffer this, but outside it sure does. Currently, the steps on my motorhome are a mess. I have removed them from the coach & disassembled them in my garage and am in the process of removing the coating & sanding off all the rust. I intend to use gloss black paint on the arms & I bought some truck bed spray for the steps themselves. If the steps start to look bad in the future, I just grab a rattle can & give em a shot. Good as new. You cant do that with powder coating. No, I am not a powder coat fan. I will wager a guess that powder coating is used by mfgs because it is probably cheaper to coat a part than painting. And/or quicker. I'm willing to bet. !
my old engineering lecturer used to call 'Vernier's' "Very nears" because there not very accurate for high precision applications like engine building. you should be using a micrometer for that piston diameter
