Very thoughtful, touching. Anna, You and your husband came to teach at my class on psychoanalytic Listening at Hebrew University. Afterwards, Paul came to rest at my apartment while you visited a friend. A marvelous memory you gave me. I don't know if I told you that my father was in Auschwitz (among other campus prior). I am deeply moved by your account. Natan Moshe Szajnberg
Happy birthday, dear Anna. Second time I am watching - had to let it all sink in.Thank you for sharing your story. If you are ever anywhere near the Philadelphia area, I would love to visit. I wish you a very happy and healthy year ahead. God bless you forever.
Dearest Anna, On the day of your birthday, you are the one who has given us the gift of the most powerful, touching memories. Thank you for sharing the wealth of your deeply meaningful life. Happy birthday with much love, Carolina and Jim
Perhaps the most moving and cohesive musical experience I have had in attending these events. That a Belgian camp survivor can make us smile with his rendition of "On the sunny side of the street" really says it all. We are mesmerized by Mark's "Will to live" book. It is unique, so kol ha kavod, Mark.
Beautifully presented and performed, Bravo! And, thank you for the ongoing effort to bring this music to public consciousness! To think, if the "Holocaust Era" composers had survived, it's quite likely that the mass of 20th century music could have been deflected into a different direction.
these are great performances and important teaching! Watching Garrick Ohlsson's hands listening to the music, hearing Madeline Albright's and Anna Ornsteins life stories, and seeing the gospel and Jazz musicians working together/apart will stay with me. I must admit, I have not wanted to watch performances this way; this is my first....and I am glad I experienced this powerful message through music. Kim Saul, Stockbridge MA
What a spectacular production, so emotional and flawlessly done. All were just superb. This Gala was as always an affecting tribute to the beloved musicians lost in the Holocaust, with moving topical references included as well. Bravo.
who would have ever dreamed that TMF would find another way to remember the lives of those we lost in their fight against tyranny. it came when we learned how much we are dependent on each other when we had to distance ourselves to stay safe.
yes mathew you are so right and we have Mark to thank for leading, continuously, these efforts and with all the contributors who are all so wonderful. so meaningful, more so, during these difficult times when we are separated. what a beautiful night this is for sure
What a beautiful concert and very professionally put together! It is nice to see what people who run our ultras do when they are not running across a desert.
