"I want wings" This is the wretched truth of Griffith. He wants wings. He wants to soar above humanity. Everything he does, and everything he strives for is merely a manifestation of his own selfish desires.
The moment that humanized Mel for me completely was right after her "corrupting Jayce" scene. She wakes up without Jayce, and next day she's clearly upset with him (which is completely understandable, but could also be a matter of pride)... right until he tells her that Viktor is dying, and the ice queen mask slips. Then she sits by Jayce, who lays his head on her lap like a desperate teenager. You can tell Mel was NOT used to anyone being this close, open and emotional towards her, and the mask melts away completely. From then on, you can tell she's actually a good person that was sadly born in a ruthless corrupt society where she's FORCED to be ruthless and corrupt herself to survive and thrive. The first chance given for her to be fully human and good, she embraces it and finally commits to it by the end. One of the best characters written in recent years, in more ways than one. But given the recent trailers... I fear the worse for her.
He's done it, folks. As of June 16 of 2024, our boy has officially caught up to the current events manga. He has graduated from binge-reads to weekly chapter consumption. I, for one, am excited for this new chapter of AJ's journey with the story of One Piece. I'm happy to say that he'll have more than enough time to enjoy the rest of the manga's run for years to come on a chapter to chapter basis.
While I prefer Dante from 03 more then Father. I still think his role in both the manga and BH works will as the main driving force behind all for of the main characters motivations and for all the evil that exists within the FMA Manga/BH. And calling his plans grandiose is an understatement.
It’s weird. Despite his short fuse, selfishness, and very questionable morals, Gon is still one of my favorite protagonists. I genuinely like him, despite his flaws. That is EXCELLENT character writing.
The layout of hogwarts was never really explained in the books except to give the impression that it is maze-like, with staircases moving continuously. I felt like the movies did a good job in giving the feeling that it is a sprawling, confusing building.
It's important to remember you can understand Griffith's motivation and why he did what he did, but still hate him or condemn him for his actions and how he hurt Guts and Casca.
@Aleczandxr I say that because I have met people that condemn griffith as a pure evil being with no reason for what he did, but it's like you said in the video, Griffith was hurt and wanted to get back at Guts. Doesn't make it right, but if you think of Griffith as human, it makes sense
I read Kaido as what could happen if Luffy were to stagnate, and King as Zorro if he didn't challenge his captain. I couldn't imagine Luffy being staying in one place for 20 years, and Zorro wouldn't stand for it.
Also the Godhand offered him the choice when Griffith was at his lowest point, he'd just been held captive and tortured maybe even raped for a year, after in his mind his best friend left him, he was not in the right state of mind to make that decision, if he had received that offer back during the good days with Guts and the hawks, he may have denied the offer.
I think Pitou realized how it feels to lose someone after she killed Kite. She missed their fight but didn't realize that she had form an attachment. She tried to make something that resembles Kite but she felt it was nowhere near what she's trying to replace. I believe that's one of the reason why she can understand why Meruem is attached to Komugi and why contrast to Pouf, she wants to protect Meruem's happiness that stems from his connection with Komugi
4:00 I think another major reason for why Hohenheim didn’t show much love with the boys is because of guilt. Guilt of now having the possibility of moving on, having the family he had been wishing for, while all the souls in him can only watch what they lost. And if he would accept his new lifestyle it would seem like he has moved on from that terrible accident He wanted to be human again not only for himself to not be immortal, but to also give relief to the souls, give them a possibility to rest and move on too
I think I see where Togashi is taking Kurapika's story. Maybe he won't be able to defeat this colossal monster. Maybe he will find another way to be at peace with his clan other than physically getting their eyes back. Not saying I don't have faith in Kurapika. He's certainly one of the most resourceful and determined characters in the show, but I just don't see him easily beating a guy who can literally see the future. Maybe with friends? Maybe that's the change we're gonna see with Kurapika - he'll stop acting alone? That'd be a sight.
1. love that their art style is similar to Haikyuu 2. The fact that Haiji reminded me of Oikawa, and Kakeru reminded me of Kageyama. 3. Haiji’s past and pain broke me and i fell in love w him. 4. The bond haiji and kakeru has 🥹 5. Other sports anime MCs are mentioned in this anime and i was in aweeeeeddd ❤
People really thought Hank as a hero? I only finished watching the series just this month. So everything is super fresh in my mind. Hank puts down everyone around him including his partner and Walt, even overruling Walt when not appropriate. He hid and covered up his wife's crimes as a klepto. He was an effective local cop but couldn't handle it at the El Paso team since he wasn't in charge anymore. Then, once he fails in El Paso and gets shot going after Tuco (which was an illegal action) and we know this because he had no backup or partner with him. And he breaks the law and disobeys orders when he's obsessed with blue meth, which is just him trying to repair his ego after both El Paso and being laid out. The DEA overlooks this because his unjustified actions yielded some results. He even shows case files to Walt, which is illegal. Basically at one time he was just an obnoxious but reasonable guy who was a local cop supervisor. But once he becomes obsessed, he does a lot of shady stuff like Walt. It's only because everyone he knows is law enforcement that he stays within certain lines. But as a cop, breaking the law repeatedly and disobeying his supervisor is extra bad in society. Walt has a reason for what he does...not necessarily justified but he does and he shows it since he never keeps any of the money and he's the monster of the show. Cops breaking their oaths to uphold the law simply due to Hank's pride...not very justifiable at all. Plus in the end, what happens, he lets feelings get to him and gets himself and his partner killed. He gets himself buried in a hole in the middle of nowhere in the desert and needs Walt to both locate his body and get revenge for his death. The only real hero in this whole story...Agent Steven Gomez. Loyal, capable, operates within the lines. Dies fighting along side his boss, doesn't come back with his tail between his legs from El Paso.
You can say whatever you want about Hank. In the whole five-season saga of the show, he's far more heroic than the vast majority of characters, especially Walt and Jesse.
“By comparison” being the key phrase, which I never denied. I’m a hero in comparison to Walter or Gus. But I’m not a hero in general. And neither is Hank, and that’s my point.
I honestly think that if I was in Geto’s place, I would’ve ended up going down the same path as he did… His situation of slowly losing the meaning of things and realising how shitty the world actually is actually so reletable... Damn, I’m really sorry that no one could understand or listen to him, when he needed it the most.. it’s tragic, but so real at the same time.
I agree with everything, but the cherry on top of this episode is its humorous moments: when Jesse kills the power to the lab right as Walt is about to kill the fly; Jesse complaining about the pronunciation of opossum sounding too Irish; Jesse not waiting until the count of three to smack Walt with the flyswatter; and of course, all the hijinks of the two of them trying to catch the fly. Breaking Bad really did have it all.
No? What a bizarre misrepresentation. I simply stated that maybe beating the shit out of Jesse wasn’t upstanding behaviour, which the series backs me up on. Also, Jesse hadn’t killed anyone at that point.
Another proof about Kaido wanted to be (or at least to see) Nika is the Smile. More than the name that reminds Luffy's DF, the fact that it gives Zoan powers on one side and false laugh on the other is a clear representation of what Kaido wanted the most
I think he should reach a slower progression but a more powerful understanding and applicability to nen through wisdom and time rather then the 'quick opening' of his chakra points
So far my favourite is zeno because he's so balanced in terms of morality and personally. i dont have wny idea of maha except he was power incarnate I mean you have to be to be in oeder to make it impressive that PRIME NETERO of all people was the first/only person to survive a fight against him never mind put up a good ight against let alone beat him!!! I have mixed about silva because of his controlling and abusive nature sadistic personally and the kindness wnd understanding he showed in his introduction the other family i either hate like illumi or find annoying like miluki bit i fqnt deny that i find them least at least some what enjoyable to varrying degrees. I feel sympathy for both killua kapluto agter this video and the phantom troop video and allukq/nanika and maybe kikyo though i still hate her guts for being so controlling acts and horrible antics
