Growing up first generation and mostly, but not completely Chinese, I only knew long grain white rice (from the grocery store) and short grain sweet rice (naw mai). I only recently had the Thai sticky rice. It’s what the shop keeper gave me when I asked for sticky rice in a small North Carolina town’s Asian market. Nice video. I was curious about other Asian people’s rices that I know little about.
Thank you!! Adzuki beans are hard to get in my area and unfortunately too expensive online. I've been meaning to make steamed buns with anko and was wondering if I could substitute adzuki beans with "regular" red beans. I couldn't seem to find an answer to my problem until just now. Your video was extremely helpful :) Love the detailed analysis!

Thank you very much. Anyway it is difficult to really understand the difference when you have no experience of both sauces. I will try to use them. Thank you!
