Unfortunate how the majority of this is still applicable even four years later. K-pop stan here. I just wanna say something as a means to defend those of us who aren't, you know, batshit crazy. I think that the people who constantly integrate into other forms of media and put K-pop clips or images where it doesn't belong or try to cancel an artist for not liking K-pop are insane, that is WAY too much. Not only is it excessive and most of the time inappropriate, it gives the chill fans a bad reputation. And that's something else I want to bring up. Please don't assume that we're all like this (not saying that you are, just a general request). Some of us are actual decent human beings, and I've never met one of these wildly obsessed K-pop fans in real life. If you have any questions about those of us who are normal-ish with our stanning or K-pop, feel free to reply, I'm happy to clear things up :)
i just want to say some things: i LOT of k-pop fan/ people say America fan are bad ones but i just want to say every place has their fair share of bad fan so pls stop say things like this because that's how k-pop fan got the name they have now because some one say we were all bad and people run with it so pls don't make all America fans have a bad name too. to the people who say ALL bad k-pop fan are young that is wrong too because it really just depends on the person not the age so why should people of a certain age get hate because of their age, i think saying all young fan are bad is just as bad as saying all k-pop fans are bad maybe i'm only saying this because i'm 12 but i don't think i'm am. as a k-pop fan (army,and icon) i just want to say "there’s nothing wrong with disliking k-pop(BTS). The problem rises when people hate on k-poop(them). There's a HUGE gap between disliking and hating so pls understand that. i hate when people say all k-pop fan are the same, they are generalizing a very diverse group of people. I have been a fan of BTS since 2023 and a fan of Kateye since about two months ago so not that long but since i became a fan of these groups and kpop in general I have interacted with so many people who are very different from each other. Different age, color, culture, nationality, gender, religion, different sexual orientations and soo much more. i just don't understand How can you just fit us all in one box when we only really have one big thing in common, which is we are a k-pop fan? to people who say EVERY k-pop fan is bad their not. i personally think it's like saying all black people have guns on them all time or saying all Asian people like k-pop or saying all white people hate black people or saying all people who play golf are old white folks , thinking any of those things are wrong so don't do it it's as easy as that. to people who say to EVERY person who say they don't like a thing with a culture of a place/nationality so pretty much having a option that's different then your are 'racist" GIRL you crazy. to people who say we (k-pop fans) only like a group /person for their looks, you know what i won't lie the thing that got me into k-pop was jungkook's (a BTS member) look but then like 5 mins into looking up bts i saw how funny they were and i just love it and then 3 day into them i listen to my first bts song (fake love) and loved it and i still do, what i'm trying to say is it not all about look but mainly for me personality and then music. last but not least to people who say staning a group or a person is weird, how!? why can't we like someone ,why can't we look up to someone ,why can't we support people we like?! pls tell me bc i don't understand. if you have anything else to say about k-pop pls tell me, i just want to know why do people have to be hated for liking a thing. love Janessa. <3 and pls share this every time you see people hating on k-pop, lets at least try to get rid of bad name we have.

Im a kpop fan, I was never called racist, but oh boy.... If you criticize a song, stans will crucify you. Sometimes, lets be honest, the song is sh*t. They are so blind in their obcession, its wild. They cant accept any type of criticism. The fact idols cant date because of idiot stans is disgusting. They are basically saying "you cant be happy, unless its with me". They are so selfish and their "love" is not real, its just pure toxic obcession.
