After forty years working in construction, I was fortunate enough to retire, now I get to enjoy every day dinking around, whether that means blueberry farming, hunting, family handyman, RVing and anything else that comes up. Thanks for watching!
I haven't contacted ORV. They mailed out notices to owners. Apache RV is who we purchased from and they are only able to do the disconnect as prescribed by Suburban. As a side note I mailed a check to ESP Norcold for the extended service plan for our Norcold fridge in the same rig, (it has a faulty touch pad) it was sent back with a letter stating they would no longer be offering extended warranties on Thetford and Norcold products. All not good for the RV industry.
I called Suburban and actually talked to a real person. To me his response sounded nervous. He relayed the issue and said that at this time they had not come up with a solution. I agree, this is definitely not right. Why can't they supply a replacement PCB? We own a 2023 Outdoors RV 24RLS with the same stove. Although not the rv manufacturers fault it should be fixed or replaced. ORV rigs are not cheap either. Class action lawsuit?
I agree, a quality, sealed (potted) pcb would solve all this. Im just astonished that this is the path they have decided to go down. Outdoors RV's are high end units. Have you tried calling them??
All of our neighbors have had problems with moles, but we never did until this year. Our neighbors live on the floor of the canyon, whereas we built into the side of our mountain. We finished building our house in late 2019. I’ll try your smoker to see if that gets rid of them. Thanks for your input, I appreciate it
Hi Doc. Its been a terrible year!! They are absolutely everywhere on my property. I actually got one two nights ago with my 12ga. Confirmed!!😉 The smoker actually works pretty darn good. Its helps to pump the bellow as your lighting it. Gets it smoke going really good. Good luck and let me know what you think.
Not with the 26" x 2.125" tires I used. 26" is the over all diameter of the tire. The peg perego gator tire measures about 15" diameter. And I dont know of a 30" bike tire out on the market. So I think your stuck buying 2 tires of any size. I will say thay after almost two years of using the bike tires, the gator still runs amazing. I did upgrade the battery from the stock 12v to the dewalt 20v. Absolutely a game changer.
Pete - Can you discuss how you registered the Park Model RV with Montana DMV. My wife and I recently purchased a Park Model RV like yours and placed it at a campground in Montana, but the County DMV is telling us that "Since 2022, they don't register/title Park Model RVs". "We received a Certificate of Origination" from the manufacturer, which we presented to the DMV. However, they would not register it for us. Our model is 399 square feet (12 x 43'). Manufactured by Lancaster Log Cabins in PA. Thanks for any information you can provide. - Darby.
Yes, it would be safe to say we worked hard to get to this point. After 38 years, my wife Sara still works as a RN. She still enjoys it. And I retired, after 40 years of commercial construction. All 40 years with the same contractor! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!
Wow, A whole shipment gone. That the first Id heard of that... I bet Wired is hiding a few trackers randomly in those shipments now! Sadly, thievery has very little downside in this morally declining society (IMO). Most of these criminals aren't worried about jail since they see it as a vacation from the 'toughness of life' they all feel like theyve had to endure, plus they get free food, get to hang out with the homies. I think its crazy just how much of the deterrence factor we've lost in our society compared to previous generations. FAFO used to be a pretty hard ass deterrent. Now, theres nothing stopping em. I imagine it was partially an inside job which probably adds some paranoia for Wired when they already offering a pretty great product and a very decent price point ie: maybe not raking it in as much as other outfits? Anyway, cool video. Your the first video Ive seen with the green color. I like it the best, although, their website makes it look more of a hunter green color, but I like this one better!
I agree with you 100%. Times have definitely changed. Its a veru sad staement of our society. Im realy glad I went with the green. The bike is an absolute beast!! Unbelievable torque. Almost too much! Still trying to find the sweet spot on the settings. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
Haha, you nailed that one!! Im still trying to figure out why they used a tv box to ship the bike in. And of course my bike is already obsolete, with the release of the new Wired Freedom.
I have not heard of them, but there are so many ebikes out there now, that doesn't surprise me. I can only imagine how quick that bike is. Ill check them out.
Can you make another video and show us how you connect Dji Mic2 to gopro and how it works? I have a gopro 11, and i need a microphone to buy, but im not sure whether dji mic2 is good for me or not while im driving a motorcycle, Thank you
Thats a good question. I would think the wind noise would be pretty loud, while riding. The transmitter does have a noise reducing "wind checker" that snaps over the mic, but im not sure how that would work on a bike ride. I can definitely do a short on how the dji 2 connects to the media mod, via the supplied 3.5mm wire, but I'd hate to have you buy the dji, then find out that it doesn't work well while riding. I can try it out while riding my ebike. I can reach about 35mph on it. Not as fast as a motorcycle, but it should give us a good idea how well it works.
is it recharchable? if so, why necesarely needs to be mounted on the camera if it s bluetooth ?????! Anyone if you please would like to give me your opinion about it thanks !!!!!!!
It is rechargeable. It is not bluetooth. You have to attached the dji 3.5mm wire from the dji receiver to the media mod audio port. I did not show that in the video. My apologies!!
Gosh, I do not know the size. I got lucky on the oil change, and did not replace mine. But its always a good idea. I do know the bolt head is a 10mm. I would get a 1/4", 5/16" and a 3/8". Its got to be one of those. Let me know what you find out!! Thanks for watching.
Totally agree that this wrong!!! Do they not know that most of us are retired and have time on our hands to take this to a higher level!! I will do my best to rattle cages too!!
Thanks John. That might be the only way we can get Keystone to do the right thing. Im sure they have seen my video, and are hoping im just a small youtuber, and this will all just go away. I so wish that this video would go viral, and they would have to answer for their terrible response. Please let me know what you find out through your attempts. Good luck.
@@retirementwithpete9859 Well, I just killed about an hour or so but I did get to speak to 1 level up from the customer service level. No real news except that he said "this doesn't land on deaf ears" to try and make me think that something may be done in the future...... yea right! I'm trying to contact suburban now and will see what response they have..... very frustrating!
Im impressed that you made it past their first line of defense. They have absolutely no desire to try to make this right. They are using the excuse that they have to follow Suburbans lead. hich is baloney. Im just totally shocked at how they are handling this. I didnt even try calling Suburban. But now I think I will.
We are very sorry for your loss!!! My wife Sara was very happy with the urn she got. It really was a very special memory she will keep for the rest of her life!!
Thanks for the kind words. Its been about 2-1/2 years, and the repair is doing fine. I tried finding replacement trusses online, but had no luck. So Im glad I repaired it. And the video has been very helpful to alot of people. Sure beats throwing away a good canopy. Let me know if you have any questions during your repair. Good luck!!
I thought about using friction tape, but I wanted something a little more durable. My grandkids are pretty brutal on that thing. We have an old Dune Racer power wheel that the motors were toast. Just ordered new motors and metal gears for it. Ill do a video of the rebuild, and see how it turns out!! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!
Thank you so much for this video. I run a market and had 1 market and because of wind, many tents were damaged. I didn't want to have to purchase new ones, so this makes me very happy. Do you know where I can purchase the metal that you show? Do you know where I can purchase the rubber sleeves where the bolts are?
I went to Amazon, and searched for canopy truss replacement parts. A wide variety of parts came up. I was not able to find my exact length, so I just spliced mine. You may have to do the same to yours. Good luck on the repair. Its really not that difficult!!
Received my letter also. They are sending me a REPAIR KIT and a email. So I use there wire caps and I'm to take pictures send to them and they will close out my recall. Now I will have no lights. I think Keystone show pay and replace the stove in all rv's with this issue. We all payed mega $$$$ for these units. Everyone needs let Keystone we a not satisfied with there cheap fix. !!!
Good morning Steve. I agree 100% I called Keystone customer service this week to complain about how they are handling this issue. I was shocked at their response. They said that this is a Suburban decision, and they are standing behind Suburban. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that I can not!!! Can you believe that??? They gave me a Suburban number to call. And basically told me to go pound sand. What is it with the RV manufacturers?? Are they trying to give Grand Design some competition for the worse customer service in the industry?? Very frustrating!!! Yes, I understand this is a very minor inconvenience, but its the principle behind it. They just need to do the right thing, and unfortunately, these corporations have a hard time doing that!!
Hi Veronica. I understand that the "fix" eliminates the risk of a fire, but there are better ways to accomplish that, without deleting all the light functions. Especially the oven light!! How an office full of decision makers decided this would be an acceptable repair, is beyond me! I did call Keystone. But the response was very disappointing. Keystone is standing behind Suburban on the repair. I couldnt even get past the customer service person, to talk to a supervisor!! Not the type of service I expected from Keystone.
Good morning. There is nothing written in the special adjustment warranty that says that you need to be the original owner, so it would say that your repair should be covered!! What year is your Equinox or Terrain? On some of the older models, the warranty is only extended to vehicles with less than 150,000 miles. Definitely call your local GM dealer and tell them about your wipers and give them the "special adjustment" number. Let me know how it turns out. Good luck.
How could they have thought for one moment, that would be an acceptable "fix" to a safety recall?? I told my wife, Sara, that she was losing her oven light, and she was not happy😬
I installed a Drainzit HON1010 hose that I purchased on eBay. Makes the process very simple. Yes, not a good drain port design. Westinghouse had little or nothing to do with the production of this generator. Westinghouse consumer products no longer exist as an entity except in a trademark that anyone (including you if you have enough money) can license and use. All consumer products with Westinghouse name on it is used under license. Westinghouse consumer products died in the 1970's. It's the same with other well-known US manufacturers such as RCA and GE. The names are used under license and the products are made by the Chinese. I only run my generator on propane, NEVER gasoline.
Sad, but true. So much of our manufacturing has gone to foreign countries like China, Mexico and much of southeast Asia. Practically everything sold on Amazon comes from China. The drainzit is just a more expensive version of a garden hose. Alittle spendy at $27.00 But definitely makes a difficult job way easier.
Welp, happened today driving in the rain, on my way to work. Came across your video on lunch.. thank you and blessings to you and yours. I found the special coverage in my app just as you said.
I am amazed how many people are having this problem. Your GM dealer should repair it for free. You may have to show them the GM bulletin, but they will take care of it. Thanks so much for commenting!!
Im glad Im not the only one that had this problem. I though I must be missing something. Thanks for confiming it. Ive used it a bunch of times now, with no issues. Thanks for the comment!
Sounds like a good idea. I'm not a thief and believe thieves know more than me and may already know your method and may already have some fuses ready to replace the one you worked on without the need to find where your kill switch is. HOW would you deal with that?
Haha, tell the kid to start looking for a new car. This really only keeps the honest people honest. If a jerk really wants to steal a '98 camry, with 260,000 miles on, then I wish him good luck!! I wish this was a world where we wouldnt have to worry about this, but thats just not the way it is. Especially in Portland!!! Thanks so much for watching, and I appreciate the comment!!
I dont know about that! Yes, speed and torque, no question! But Ill compare a 5 year old rad to this beast, and you might be surprised!! Stay tuned! Thanks for watching!
Im glad it helped you!! Thank you for sharing this, It worked amazing today moving my new spa into the back yard from my driveway, i was out less than 50 bucks total to make the sled, i was quoted 500 from a spa professional to move it from my driveway to the back patio.
We had to make an educated guess on the thickness as well, All we could get from the factory reel was “maybe less than 1/2. We went with that as to the tanks are installed on an angle and but the floor on the end. Just fyi for everyone. It’s truly a shame we cannot have this info when we purchase.
Yes, here you go... NEEWER Cold Shoe Mount Adapter Compatible with DJI Hollyland Rode Wireless Lavalier Microphone Receiver, Anti Drop Mic Accessories with Retractable Pins, Metal Camera Cage Mount Adapter, UA030 a.co/d/1lqakqx
Thats awesome. What color did you go with?? The only issue Im having is setting the level of torque when I'm in power assist 1. Its just too much torque from standing still. It literally pushes me off my seat.😄. It just wants to go!!! Its an amazing bike!! Your going to love it! Thanks for watching.
Here you go... static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10171252-9999.pdf If you click "more" button, in the description, there are several other links that are very helpful. Just call your local GM service dealership and tell them your issue. They should replace it for free. Let me know what happens. Good luck.
Agree with others that this is the best video I've seen for doing the belt replacement. I have a 20 year old GX255 and after struggling underneath for the better part of a day based on other videos that said the belt could be put on without removing anything, it took less than an hour to replace it once I saw how easily the deck/fender can be removed. I also liked that you got straight to the point without a lot of additional blabbing and showed the helpful entries in the service manual that I haven't seen anyone else show. Thx again.
Wow, thanks for the compliments!! I was lucky I had the manual. The videos I found on YT were just not very helpful. And yes, most of them said you could change the belt without taking the fender off. I didnt see it that way. Besides, it gave me the opportunity to tear something apart, and put it back together, which we all love to do😄. Im really surprised how many views the video has gotten! Thanks again for the kind words!
