You got to number two respect and I'm thinking number one and two were why my hubbs and I had issues, sooo I just subscribed! My hubbs is also a sigma male and he use to tell me when I would ask him this question,"Dont you need me?" hahaha. His answer would always be," I dont need you, I want you." Big difference. I didnt understand because I was too caught up in the idea of "need". My kids "need" me, but I married a man not a kid. It takes a while for a couple to become a well oiled machine, "team". You have to put in the work, first understand yourself and fix things that need fixing with yourself. Thats what I did, because unfortunately I brought North American independent female ideas that are not Godly, into a Godly marriage. Once I figured that out, everything fell into place.
I loved this video. Its pretty pathetic that I’m writing down these items and making a list of the things that attracted my wife and I to each other in the ninth grade hallway and then of all the things we did over the years in order to have a wonderful relationship for 33 years because cancer stole her from me 4 months ago and I’m just reflecting on our life, myself, the things we loved about eachother and the struggles we had with each other. And just wondering if I’ll ever find love again. She insisted that I remarry during her last final months of her decline. At the time I didnt want to hear it but she knew me better than I knew myself and she just felt terrible for me…..what an angel.
What a very nice video. I was married for 33 years to my high school sweet heart-love at first sight. Like a lightning bolt. We had such a wonderful marriage until cancer stole her from me 4 months ago. I feel like I could really contribute to your channel especially with advice from someone who was in the trenches. We had a very good legacy together and fostered and adopted five kids with two biological kids. We started with nothing but love and determination to build a life together and worked hard at it as a team since 16 years old. Se couldn’t wait to be adults and we even acted more adult than most adults. I have so many stories i really should write a book. I never had a nothing box- there just wasn’t enough daylight in the day for me. I just couldn’t stop…it was so much fun building a life with her. I’m pretty devastated after this . I pretty much have to start all over again all alone. It’s not fun and its pretty much the worst hell on earth I’vemever witnessed and Ive been through some rough spots. Our goal was the realization that being debt free and financially responsible were the key elements of a well oiled machine with future. I can go in all day bit I’m really enjoying discovering yours and your Husband’s channel.

We NEED that in the next generations .. we need the “ awkward” sensualalities of marriage realities. It needs to no longer be considered “ taboo” to share in that quality of vulnerability or transparency … the societal taboo of it was the previous generations handling it like it was A shameful secret. That “ handling” HARMED a lot of us who became descendants of the previous generations - us next geners… carrying the family lineages fwd through CHOOSING the covenant of marriage & the family that gets produced as a result of such a union.

Your home looks peaceful and relaxing, I’d Love to be there too, your so lucky. Only noice maybe a few birds or cows, I Love the sound of a rooster crowing, the cows mooing. It’s so noisy it town. I gave Son I law our big cooker, my husband passed away, I’d never use it and he loved it. It was new too. My parents were never the philosophical sort. They are working-class folks, and that’s all they know and care about. I had to raise myself with strangers or by RU-vid videos. It’s sad, and lonely, but it’s the only life I’ve ever known. Listening to people like you, and the wisdom you offer, it’s a godsend. It keeps me hoping that there’s a better life for a peasant like me. So thank you. I really do appreciate it.

Hi, i was in NC in 2013 & had biscuits for the first time & they were so good, they were just plain i never got to try any bacon ones, but i can just imagine. To make the biscuits does it need to be buttermilk or will plain old regular milk work? What you are both doing is wholesome & positive & for some people to sit behind their keyboards making negative comments is very sad. Those people feel bad about themselves & their lives that they need to bring others down & make them feel bad to make themselves feel better. Go & live your lives & do something positive to make yourself feel better instead. Anyway, it's so lovely for me to see this, the scenery, cooking outdoors, being out in the fresh air, the dogs running round entertaining themselves...by the way, what breed are they? It's a life i can only dream of so thank you for sharing a slice of your life with us 👍

Thank you, because I was always wondering how you managed the children and horses. It has been really interesting to learn that you focused on the children and now it is your turn to learn more about the horses. I watched the video this morning how Dewayne settled the horse and it was just fascinating. I failed growing up at even making a friend with a horse and my very best friend is still riding to this day but how could I ever learn there wasn't the time as a little kid staying there for weekends? I watched with envy 64 years ago. She is my very best friend today even though I now live in Australia. I will delight in telling her what I am learning!!
