Here on this channel, you'll find repair tutorials, showcases, and vlogs about malaise Era classic cars, obsolete audio equipment, and anything else old and forgotten! I try to cover topics that are harder to find videos for on RU-vid, so if this sounds like your kind of thing, stay tuned!
So i finally got mine. I purchased the Audiovox UC-10 under dash unit brand new. Or i should say new old stock. But i did not know that most of these units are for 2 speaker vehicles only. Wish i knew that was even a thing before i purchased it because now im stuck with it lol. My car is equipped with 4 factory speakers.
Just use the cd itself, put a pice of tape on it to grab on to it and spray alcohol onto the cd and voila...😆 I have a handheld vaccum need to see where that is but it seems that giving it a good vaccum sucking to get all the dust out might help initially ...😇
Im looking to buy one on ebay. So i came here first since ive never installed one. Thanks for this video. Gave me that little push i needed. Gonna go for it.
My Dude sounds like Shia for a sec. Lol. Great review! The first review that answered all the questions that were in my head while watching 👌. Even with the i can put my elbow here and have my hand here, the actual cockpit of the car as the driver pov Great points you just sold me. I'm going to go pick up mine. Asap And btw the mud flaps hard af. 💪 I know you did it for utility purposes. But call me gramps bcuz I getting the flaps on my sh*t . These cars are so timeless.
Very cool project it’s really worth putting headers and good set of resonators I’d change the intake and make it breathe more air into it so that cam could work better.
Great video! If there is a will there is a way and you are determined you will find the problem just dont give up and you showed that to us thank you good job. Dern simplest things can cost you a ton of money.
I peeled the vinyl roof off my old Plymouth. Not rotten underneath, a little surface rust in spots...painted it gloss white & put the separating trim back. Looks factory & won't rot
If you have an old Ford V8 that hasn't been started for a while, pull out the distributor and find a way of attaching a power drill too the hex drive that goes down to the oil pump and pump oil through the engine without it running. Turn it the same direction as the distributor turns.
Looks like it cranked up just fine, now then, you need to check all fluids &filters because it, may need new everthang in it. Good to know it'll sit there and run.
I have a 1980 oldsmobile delta 88,and when i purchased the car most of that stuff your talking about was removed .Even the Ac bracket, lines and compressor.Which i replaced the air conditioning bracket ,compressor and brought that smog pump delete bracket and change the wide belt pully wheel that came with it to a v belt narrow(four season 45955 ) pully wheel.Which when i pull off the smog pump delete wheel it gives enough slack to remove the compressor belt without loosing up the ac bracket bolts.Dorman make a smog pump delete bracket not sure of the part number.
The fuse box is inside the passenger compartment. He was trying to avoid making a hole through the firewall to get to it. Modern cars have underhood fuseboxes, but 1980s didn't.
I have a 03 Honda CRV. I tried taking out all the gears and it still doesn't work. Went I triggered the lever to go down without a tape in the player. It clicks a few times then automatically spits it back out, juat likw ot was doing with the tape in. Any ideas on what it could be?
4:40 I thought you could get plugs that screw into each cylinder where the tube comes out of? Instead of having that ugly bit that comes out above the manifold?
Thank you so much for this tip. We have an old Ford Transit 1975 pop top and the door was driving me crazy. We added the tape and it is now silent. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You are wonderful.
Will this apply for a 260? I took off all the smog stuff but having a hard time finding information on rerouting the hoses to the carb. Never worked a two barrel, switching to 4 later but for now just keep the 2 to drive. I pulled off the ported vacuum switch, do I need it?
So today, I was finally able to adjust my TPS sensor. According to your video, which I have to say and what a great video It is. Getting ready to go for test drive no more codes showing up.
Too little information out there on the CCC Q-Jet stuff. Even the books on them just say: "...yeah, you have those CCC carbs..." and really don't mention anything useful, besides how it is supposed to work. I just got an eBay "numbers matching" one for my '85 Monte Carlo SS 305 and it was 6.5 turns from bottomed on the lean stop. I previously ran mine with the lean stop bottomed out, which may be why it always surged when cruising slowly. On the one hand, within the 4.5 mm of stroke spec. but not the 1/8" mentioned in another comment. We'll see if mine works soon, now that it's back together, but it didn't seem the repair kit came with stuff to replace things on the air bleed. Thanks!
