My personal "Do it yourself" and "how-to" channel. I filmed some projects with Honda Accord 2001 V6 in the past. I currently work on 2005 Toyota Prius, BMW X1 2015 a few motorcycles and sometimes fix electronics.
Worked great!! Mine didn’t lock when I was pressing the buttons for step 2 but I held it for about the same amount of time and it worked great even without it locking while I was pressing the buttons. Thanks so much!!
Hi there! I'm planning to remove the water tank and connect the coffee maker to the pipe directly. I was planning to use a flow pressure reduction, like the fridge use. After the reductor, i wanna install a carbon filter. My question is: May I connect the water to the flow meter directly? Should I make a loop and connect the tube 3 to the pipe? Thanks in advance!
This video is so amazing!! If i were to put a value in dollars worth of information provided in this video it would be many thousands. I've read that reconditioning is inconclusive/unnecessary VS. just swapping them out (if you know which cell is bad!).. well this video clearly showed why it is not only good to do, but wise to extend the life of *all* of the cells. Having said that, I think the logic still stands that if you are buying a reconditioned battery off ebay/online - that battery should theoretically match your current cells. The refurbished cells have been discharged and recharged, basically to match the rest of the cells. So things should be all good by simply swapping them out. I realize the technical guys might disagree, but I think it makes more sense to me IF the person is not able to do the extra work like in this video.
It would also be good to know where to find a replacement for the one-time-use pex crimp clamps which is approx. 3/8" inch. Once you remove these hose clamps, you will spend the next 3 days driving to dozens of hardware and automotive stores trying to find something similar.
Thanks so much for this video! Fixed my machine today with your help and the info on the parts. The model has been updated with some difference in the pipes and some extra wiring attached to the body but the parts you listed still fit perfectly. Thanks!
Hey, a word to the wise; Dielectric grease is meant to be be applied right over the connection points. It will squeeze out when the connection is made. It's the clamping force that squeezes it out. Don't worry about the resistance. Use your ohmmeter to see the resistance is inconsequential. Also, check that there is good air flow coming out of the bottom duct. The air goes in thru the top of the battery and out from the bottom. The weather stripping gets destroyed and the housing leaks tons of air. That will not cool the batteries. Make sure the air flow coming out of the lower duct is solid before buttoning up.
This programming instruction still works. 6/29/2024 I was able to program the remote meant for silver logo purchased from eBay. Remote programming link from eBay is wrong but this video worked
Thanks for the useful instructions. very few water being brewed, changed pump and didn't fix it, changed the valve and no fix, still having to hit the double shot button 4 times to get the usual amount of coffee. Any ideas of what to check next?
Thank you!!! This 67 year old Nana successfully programmed the key fob to my 2009 Prius. I did make sure I had fresh batteries in both fobs. Took a couple tries to complete part 2; but voila! Works like a charm. Thank you so much.
I did have to remove the inner backup key to get part one to work. After removing the inner key part one worked for me in one attempt. I had to do part two multiple times. Several times it was because I did a step wrong. A couple of the other times I had trouble with the hold down lock and unlock at the same time. My original fob is damaged. Made it difficult. I perservered and eventually it worked! I now have two keys to my Prius! Locksmith wanted to charge me $213 for programming! THANK YOU!!! You are a lifesaver!
@igorkadulenkov How is your battery 3-4 years later? I followed your steps (except I didn't match internal resistances in new blocks by the repaired/replaced modules very scientifically) and got errors that Dr Prius (the actual guy, Jack!) suggested mean either resistance in the orange harness (replace?) or a failing battery ECU (the rectangular thing wit the (dangerous) orange plug going into it. Once I reopened the battery metal cover, I could immediately see bad green/brown corrosion on the copper bus bars - much worse than the car had when I removed the battery 3 years ago - when the battery was 17 years old. I used NoAlox like you did, so I'm wondering if that was not helpful for you either? Another problem in my car is water intrusion. Though I caulked and sealed what I thought were all the rear area leaks, it appears there are more of them than I thought - and shockingly I can day light through the driver side rear wheel well area above a few inches above the rear strut! So when driven in rainy conditions, I assume quite a bit of tire-spun water was getting in to the area close to the battery. I will be using some Rust Reformer and Bondo or something on that, but that might account for some of my corrosion. However, I wondered if others had bad corrosion after it. As for the condition of the HV Battery, Dr Prius (the app) says the battery itself is at 88% (OK/Good) after 3 years, though I've not dug into the module checking (grrr, not looking forward to that weeks long process again) yet...
Thank you Igor! I'm in the middle of this process right now on my 2014 e84 and it's difficult, but your video has been a great help! By the way, do you have any advice about detaching wiring clips without breaking them? I've really been struggling with pulling the clips with the small metal teeth off of the various mount points, even with a screwdriver and pliers. I've broken a few clip mounts in the process... You make it look so easy that I think I must be missing something.
I changed the valve cover gasket thinking that it would solve my oil leak that fell on top of the exhaust pipe and smelled a lot of oil. But that is not the case, the oil loss has decreased but it remains the same, I think I have to change the valve cover, they say it may be bent... Is this true? Thank you!
Living in remote Mexico area. Got a new key and I was able to program it. It worked but the keyless feature stopped working even on my old fob. How can i fix that? Now i have to insert the key to start it. And i liked the other way better. There is gotta be a way to fix that. Please help me
I have problems with the minute 7:05 . I think the shield is causing noise with the axle. Is it possible to drive without the shield? I can't seem to put it back correctly
