We have a snake in our garage, and my husband took a horrible fall and got an abrasion on his hand and leg trying to get the snake out of our garage. In his younger day, he used to take them out into the woods and successfully got rid of them. But as he is older, it has been much more of a challenge. I am terrified to get even 10 feet near a snake. One of his problems is that he has garage things overflowing under the cars and nice places for a snake to hide. We did take all the grass seed and anything that could be food for rodents out of the garage and there is no water source and placed them in a storage building that is impossible for snakes or rodents to live in. I am thinking about getting a gasket to put under the garage door to keep snakes and rodents out!
Thank you so much for this video ❤ our Frenchie (5 y/o) started reverse sneezing last week. How often is still normal for them? We took him to the vet who gave him an injection and he stopped reverse sneezing for 3 days now it started again… I suppose it is allergies but it would be nice to know how often is normal for Frenchies 😊 thank you!!!
I’m so thankful I’ve just found this!!! My 2 year old French bull dog called Jack has started doing this recently out of nowhere and I thought he was dying on several occasions!!! So thankful I found this!!!! This is exactly what Jack has been doing
Lost my dog today, we couldn't figure out why first, we later found a headless snake corpse in the garden. He died a noble death, doing what he always did, protecting the family. Rip Nawab

I hate these videos that you go to while you're dog is in distress and there's a whole lot of funking around and ads before the actual fix, I get it, monetisation etc but ffs think maybe do the fix first in case of this likely situation, then we can happily watch the other stuff when the dog has calmed down!!!!
You can blame YT for the ads. As for wanting the answers first...try checking out the description. It tells you exactly where this is and you can jump ahead. 😊
Is there any advice you have to teach my friendly and curious golden retriever to not fraternize with snakes? We moved to Texas and there are a lot of venomous snakes here. He just doesn't know better. They can get in our back. I keep the grass mowed and clutter free. Would a fake owl on the fence work to deter snakes?
We are having our Lab done today. Over 6 months. Can't risk him and our Rottie... Now a female, like a Golden, yes get a spay. She had 1 litter and were going to do it but didn't. She died last year due to Pyometra. Pyometra is no joke, life threatening. She would have lived if spayed.
My 26 yo retired mare has it in her off hind leg, visible only at walk and fortunately, not (yet) as extreme as either horse in the video. I actually noticed the uneven musculature in her hindquarters before the gait change became obvious. Would say it's neuromuscular in her case, as old injuries catch up with her.
I will never forget bringing my Frenchie girl into an animal hospital for having such labored breathing, and the vet tech described her breathing to me as "how Frenchies usually breathe"...no no no!!! Usual, yes, normal or acceptable, NO!!!!
Is it safe on a 2 year old girl put she my baby and don’t have money very saving get her Ravi shit and she acts fine but swallow a 1 1/2 plastic ball ray it was punchered
Hi James Thanks for asking. It's hard to know without more information. Your options: 1. Go to the vet, if it's been more than 24 hours then they might recommend an xray and treatment based on that. 2. Inducing vomit will depend on the size of the ball vs animal and time since ingestion. 3. If you'd like more specific recommendations our vets are online 24/7 at VIP.yourvetonline.com/ask-a-vet-a-question you can upload a picture of your dog and the type of ball and they can guide you. There is a cost: AUD $49.95 Hope this helps
Hi Anne, the length of times an animal displays signs of paralysis will depend on how much toxin was injected and whether your pet received anti-toxin. Some pets react far more than others. If you are concerned - then consider discussing your pet's situation in a consult with our vets. You can do this at this link: Https://vip.yourvetonline.com/ask-a-vet-a-question/
Our cat died because of this. Thing is we've bought lilies for our house many times and had NO IDEA these were lethal to cats! And we had 2! I even had my cat smell the lilies because they smelled so beautiful, which I suspect may have caused her poisoning, which after a couple of weeks of trying to resuscitate the cat, we still did not know this was a potential cause. I think EVERY LILY sold in the supermarket in all countries should come with a very large warning sticker to educate consumers that even light brushes with the pollen of lilies is enough to kill cats. I suspect many (most?) cat owners do not even know this, unless they are very well educated on such things. It was common knowledge while growing up that poinsettia's were toxic to pets. But I've NEVER heard that beautiful smelling lilies are, which are so common in many homes. So sad.
It sounds like croup in humans. My vet initially thought my pup had reverse sneeze based on what i was TRYING to explain how it sounded. I could not get video fast enuf at onset of her "cough" fits. Then i saw this and the videos of what it sounds like... Ding. Ding. Ding. We have a winner. That snort, croupy, horrific sound with her accessory muscles contracting with each cough.
You don’t need to spay or neuter your dogs! Be responsible with your pets. This was only recommended because people are irresponsible with their pets to help control population. Just be responsible people! You will keep your pets living longer by not spaying or neutering your pets.
My shih tzu is almost 6 months old, a couple weeks to go. She's not in heat yet, but my eyes are on her all day everyday now cause i know she'll be in heat any day now. Since she's my first pup, any suggestions as to how to notice the first signs would be really helpful. And how to keep her healthy, happy and comfortable during that time would be really helpful as well. Also, 1) i want her to be absolutely comfortable during this time. 2) I understand that their (smaller breeds') heat lasts longer, and that smaller breeds mature faster. Is that true? Again, suggestions are encouraged. 3) i am not gonna get her spayed before her first heat. My mom has made it clear that we need to let her get through her first heat, at least. And she wouldn't have it any other way. I respect that. Any health concerns related to heat cycles are welcome. Just mention what point you're referring to. 4) How do i know she's generally healthy without going to the vet? I think this is the basic any animal parent should be worried about and I'm worried about it too and any comments are welcome. Just mention what are you commenting towards
Thank you so very much for the informative video! Really helpful. What about mixed breed dogs? Could you please advise me? I have a 15 month, 35kilos (around 77lb) male rescue dog. He is white/black color, a big but not huge dog, mix of Gekas (Greek Harehound hunting dog) and Greek Sheperd and maybe more breeds. I am considering having him neutered next week (he started having issues with other male intact dogs and now I cannot have him off leash) Would that be ok or you are suggesting waiting? Thank you very much in advance!
Not drinking ? Just sniffing her Favourite food not eating , she's got energy to play because she's a cane corso but she refusing Food a bit shaking in the morning a bit ... I really don't know what to say 😭 am just very upset
You have to really do your research because there are pros and cons to both spay and neutering and pros and cons do not spaying or neutering not Spaiying a female can cause your dog is life there are certain types of testicular cancer your dog cannot get if it does not have testicles on the other hand they do need to be two or three years old so that they're fully grown because they're still developing and growing Andrew spay and neuter before then would be like giving your child a hysterectomy when it was merely an infant or toddler
I took him to the Vet, and they couldn’t do anything for him. They seemed to think it was something Neurological going on, and not caused by the black widow spider in his dog house. They recommended that I take him to a Specialist. I called a Specialist, and their prices were out of this world. So then, it was recommended to put him down because, he wouldn’t have a quality of life like this. We gave it a few days, and we didn’t feel like he was in bad enough shape to be put down. He doesn’t walk like he’s drunk anymore- he still drools a lot, and seems to get eye boogers a lot. I clean around his eyes with a warm cloth. He seems to be doing better than he was, he’s just not 100%. Thank You for asking.
I thought he may have gotten poisoned by being bitten by a black widow spider. The Vet said, he was pretty sure he didn’t get bit by a spider but, it may be neurological. I don’t think anyone poisoned him though. So, I don’t know. He’s doing better than he was, he seems to have allergies or something because, his eyes his have been discharging, like he’s got a lot of sleep in them.
my dog is a trouble maker and he jumped up and snatched my sister's pizza slice so we put hand sanitizer on it hoping he would be grossed out by it and back off but he ate the whole thing with the hand sanitizer on it and it was like 4 squirts. Hes been panting and im worried 😭 what should i do
My cat is 3yo, I have tried every form of cat food, he will not even look at it. I've tried Sardines, Salmon, nope will not touch it, The only food he will eat is Co-Op Tuna in Spring Water. He will not eat John West or Princes Tuna. So if Tuna can not be given every day, how do I feed him. He is very healthy, and has been on tuna every day since I first had him.
Thank you for your comment I just had a cat and was wondering if I can give him tuna and I did and he loved it and I was worried if it was okay or not to give him
I’m having this same issue with my 11yo cat! We recently moved homes, and he wasn’t himself, after taking him to the vet he was on IV liquids, and they prescribed him an anti anxiety. I thought I was gonna lose him until one day I was eating tuna, and he snapped out of it and meowed at me for my can of tuna! I fed him, and he’s back to his original weight, if I don’t feed him tuna he won’t eat at all I’m so worried I’m hurting him
