Store bought butter tarts, will have some form of preservatives to increase shelf life., hence the flavours being off. Bakery bought (or farmers market) would probably taste miles and miles better.

People don't dislike Krissy cause of her language. She has a big heart for her kid and that's it. She threatened multiple people, took the easy out by choosing to save herself after reaming someone else for doing the same, is rude, mean, and is a blimp.

I have some related questions for both John and Christine: When John attended the finale filming (or after), did he notice any change in Christine’s cooking style, approach or technique after the months of grind, training and competition? For Christine, what were her biggest points of development or personal takeaways from her experience on the show? The show pushes everyone out of their comfort zone, problem solving and pushing their limits, but it also gives opportunities to experiment, study and hear about other approaches and expertise with feedback. Many of the contestants made comments about how their cooking, approach or attitude evolved over the time, as did their confidence, but I’m curious to hear how Christine reflects on her own growth a full decade later. So impressed by your performance all through the season. So many things I really would love to taste! Thanks, and really enjoyed the streams!
I was burnt out from Cooking and actually didn’t cook for six months until Thanksgiving of that year so John had to cook for us at home. I would say in terms of personal development, I learned how to use tools I’d never used before like a traditional stovetop pressure cooker, immersion blender, sous vide machine, chill blaster, and food pro. I also learned about new ingredients and honed all of my cooking skills all around. I would say I definitely built confidence and realized I should just cook what I love and believe in because you can’t please everyone all the time.

TV edit's a lot to make the best drama, but I love how you can see the rawness of how close Josh and Christine were through the episodes. I replay the 10 seconds here and there when they joke and smile at each other through the episodes.
