It’s Christine and John’s first full day in Hanoi, and of course, they are going to try as much food as they can possibly stuff into their stomachs. They start out the morning with egg and yogurt coffees, followed by a bowl of delicious beef noodle soup, then more coffee to combat the jet lag. In the afternoon, they meet up with Lylla (curiousaboutvietnam.com) for a food tour of more Hanoi eats.

Eggnog coffee, yogurt coffee, jackfruit coffee, Vietnam has so many coffee creations I didn't even know existed! The lady who served as a guide at the end was really nice too. Christine I know you were tired of sweating all day but at least your skin looked great lol. Been seeing a lot of foodies going to Hanoi recently, makes me want to go!

Yes @curiousaboutvietnam is a great food guide. Very knowledgeable. Sweat is supposed to keep your skin healthier but dang, I was so uncomfortable! I’m spoiled by the rampant AC we have in Texas.

Vietnam food seems so Diverse and interesting...I mean coffee with egg in it is definitely something I have never seen. Also kudos to John for planning this trip really good. You guys are great.

Just learned about you over the last week while binge watching Master Chef. I can easily say you are the most incredible and fearless human being I have ever seen... I was rooting for you the whole time. While I was making a batch of ravioli today I tried to make one with my eyes closed, I'd have better luck solving a rubiks cube.. You're amazing.

Don't ever let any Vietnamese tell you the food scene of some Vietnamtown in foreign countries is just like Vietnam. Even Bolsa in Orange County in Calilfornia, US, is AT BEST, 20% of what VN has to offer in the home country, and that's an undeniable fact. The breadth and depth of food in VN is beyond anything Bolsa, Houston, San Jose or Paris have to offer, and I'm being generous to those cities. The ingredients, the freshness, the seasoning in VN cannot be matched by Vietnamese restaurants in other countries. I'm glad Christine and her husband are willing to invest their time and energy to try food in different cities in VN.

It’s your own opinion. I don’t agree with you. I live in Bolsa area in Orange County, California. I go back to VN so many times. Eat so many Vietnamese food but most food not as good as Bolsa because of the qualities and quantities in VN.

i love the texture of pho noodle in Vietnam. as a person who lives abroad, never have i eaten the noodle with the same texture where i live. Most of the vietnamese restaurant here use the dried pho noodle, that they have to boil/cook in order to eat them. the noodle in Vietnam is fresh, soft like silk. i always wanna come back and have pho everyday.

Bun cha is my new favorite dish, in addition to pho, sizzling cake, banh mi ... you name it. Vietnamese cuisine is without a doubt delicious.

I live in Saigon and nerver had tried Bun cha at the City before. Then I traveled to Hanoi and tried Bun cha and totally got hooked 🤣. I remembered can't stop myself from eating this dish again and again in my whole 5 days trip. After the trip, I returned Saigon and went online to find the "Quán Bún Chả Ngon ở Saigon". Kinda obsessed with it.

Heck yeah! Episode two!! That first egg coffee was like wall putty thick. Holy cow. I cracked up at, “white people wouldn’t like this texture”, with all of the white people in the background throughout the video that Christine couldn’t see. 😂😂 I hope you guys have an awesome Christmas.

the 1st place where you try egg coffee is not really good. I think Giảng coffee is much better. (fyi Giang Cafe and Cafe Dinh always have a debate on who invented the egg coffee 😂)
