REALLY I DIDN'T KNEW AS JUST TODAY I STARTED TO USE SINGLE CRUTCHE AS RIGHT SIDE KNEE PAIN. I WAS USING SAME SIDE UT VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. NOW ITS OK THANKS
Problem is with the crease in your shoe that means you are bending your knee and mine is popping/cracking like crazy. At 50 i'm clueless as what to do next after 2 knee surgeries. Had meniscus trim which changed shape of meniscus and now pain and popping .
This is incorrect. You actually had the height of the crutches correct the first time and you’re supposed to place them slightly forward and to the side when measuring. You would have easily had 2 finger space
Absolutely! From experience, it’s necessary 9 months in if you’re planning on returning to sports. However, it does vary for each person and age. I started jumping 6 months after surgery
THANK YOU SO MUCH 😭 There are so many functions I was not aware of haha. They should include a link to this video any time someone has ACL reconstruction 😭😭
Just had partial knee replacement after waiting nearly 18 months for operation so obviously the limping was bad. Looking forward to trying this out when up and ready to do so. Thanks for the tip…
Okay,, but what if your affected leg's foot is a whole good like 4 inches from being able to touch the ground while wearing a knee immobilizer?? I cannot make my foot go down to the ground, my brace will not let me.. I cannot walk I have to one leg crane crutches everywhere.. I am so confused why I cannot put my leg all the way down 2 weeks after my patella dislocation. The ER doctor told me very little.. if anything at all honestly.. there is no pain, but my foot has a tiny bit of swelling and toes are a little stiff when I wake.. I do the toe scarf pull exercise with it and it helps.. BUT I CANNOT WALK LIKE THAT?
8 weeks after a TKR, I was surprised to hear that I was still favoring my surgical leg, which I wasn’t bending quite as much. To me it seemed as though I was bending it MORE than the other, because of course I felt every degree of flexion in the new knee, whereas I felt no discomfort in the other. What I like about this particular suggestion is that it not only gives you something tangible to shoot for, but it also directs your attention AWAY from the injury! Clever tip!!!👍🏻
Thanks for such clear instructions. Apparently i was doing it the wrong way and my armpits are hurting like crazy. Need to make some adjustments in my crutches. Thank you for taking the time to do this video.
At six weeks post surgery, I am walking more and more and am concentrating on walking normally. I have been stiff legged and need to get back to normal. This tip is a good one.
Hi, I have an ACL and MCL tear and one doctor recommended that I get a hinged brace and the other tri-panel knee immobilizer. Which one would you say is the best for my injuries? Thank you
Tri-panel immobilizer keeps your leg straight and can't bend it. Hinged brace you can keep straight but have the ability to unlock it to desired angles
I know you did this video a few years ago; however, it is the most common sense way of walking after knee surgery that I've seen anywhere else. I'm having knee replacement in a few months and I'm saving good ideas on recovery. Well done!
Wow! This totally works 😮 At four months with patella fracture surgery and range of motion doing well but leg keeps freezing up by the third step of my walk. Using this seems to be buying me a few more steps, enough to be encouraged. ❤Thank you!
