I’m not convinced that jig for drilling the rear indexing hole is made correctly. Did you notice too the locating pins on the slides themselves are in different positions right&left?
I haven't had a problem with things lining up using the jig. I wonder if the pins got moved out of their starting position. The thing is design so that once the pins are in the holes, you can turn the plastic wheel to adjust them up and down, this adjusting the fit of the drawer.

Great but you forgot to mention thats its nearly 1 00 euro a foot , crazy expensive use HAFELE CONCEALED HIDDEN SHELF SUPPORT BRACKET FIXING MOUNT FOR FLOATING SHELVES will work on 24 cm shelf
OMG WHY ARE YOU YELLING!!!! YOU MISSED THE POINT OF THE VIDEO TO FIND A SUPPORT THAT THE CLIENT DIDN'T HAVE TO DRILL INTO THE SHELF. HAFELE REQUIRES DRILLING
@@tcoyle1950 again you are missing the point that clients that aren't handy don't want to locate studs and drill into a shelf. This is set up for the client and all they have to do is screw the bracket to the wall. I get paid to route a grove instead of drill holes.
Brian, check your history books - Michaelangelo, DaVinci, and many more you'll recognize literally took commissions they hated to 'pay the rent.' I'd look at it as practice time to keep the skills sharp. And hey, rent.
Hey Brian, The eternal battle of the artisan! I see the balance being entirely in the mind of the person creating the functional art. That said, I know way too well, the pendulum between getting things done and the desire to make pieces which are both challenging and satisfying will sway back and forth continually. I guess, to an extent, that is what makes makers do what they do. Good video, and as you can tell it made me stop and think. Back to riding the pendulum! Regards James One Handed Maker - Australia
Really huge thanks for taking the time to make this. I'm having flakes on the finished piece and I now suspect it's because I don't do anything with the gun between coats and not cleaning the cup really well like you do here.
Update: There was huge chunks of pudding-like finish in the needle housing. Cleaned everything thoroughly and I just did the best coat I ever have. Thanks so much.
