I absolutely love these videos!! We're mid kitchen reno too 😢 we're currently looking in to those under cabinet power strips?? Do you have a link for them? It's been hard to find quality ones that can handle toasters and air dryers.

I have a door painted shut in my house and I tried to use a knife before but nothing. I got one of those multi tools and now I can’t wait to have time to try the tool. You know when you buy houses and you wonder why they did what they did and then somewhere along the way the reason shows up… I learn a lot about little surprises. I can imagine doing the dishes and smelling the roses or breakfast by the sing enjoying the view and smells.

I mean... The windows don't have double glass ??? Maybe it's because I live in Europe but this seems such an old and very inefficient insulation for the windows... Here only the oldest and non renovated, like not in good shape buildings have them. It seems awfully wasteful to have climatisation / heating and then having all of this energy being lost there... It is crazy to me.
Looking amazing!!!!…..both the renovation and you of course ❤ I totally would of taken out all of those glass panes first and then painted the sanded down wood windows.
I don't comment much. But I just want to thank you for all you content on the Texas house and this one. It has helped and inspired me on doing my renos on my house. ❤
I can't even express the amount of respect and admiration I have for builders and their expertise. I have a finished university education (in a field that also requires some practical work, but building/construction.. I can't even imagine!) and one of my biggest pet peeves is university students calling people in a difficult trade like this "uneducated". Builders have more education and skill in their little finger than most uni students will ever have!
Love the progress! Windows are coming along great and love your attention to detail! The french doors look beautiful. I thought at first they were gonna open in a folding manner so it would be one huge open doorway. Like the two left doors fold together to open and the same for the two right doors. That way you would have one huge door way for moving things in and out or during parties. Still looks amazing though and absolutely loving seeing things develop! It's amazing how fast its all happening
ALL SO STUNNING! Where did you buy the curtain rod and rings? I'm having a tough time finding a 150" long brass rod that comes with rings (so they match). TIA!

EHEHE i remember watching this and thinking - ??? she's pregnant, right? that's why she complains about the smell LOL (in terms of she usually will comment when something smells bad, but not this excessively haha)
Omg the natural wood on the windows n doors ughhh u should strip all the windows 😂 it’s gorgeous don’t paint them noooo it btightens n brings contrast I like it
Idt it a be weird for the one window to open when u have to door open being that ur kitchen windows n sliding doors are all only gonna open on the outside n the middle stays closed. That one window opening would fit ur theme plus u don’t need the other side open if the back door is going to open too. I think you should do it love glad to see u back diy’n we miss it just as much as u do
Just a thought about that window adjacent to the doors but I think you should restore them to open. Now that you are going to have a baby, you will want to sometimes open all the windows, for fresh air, instead of the doors (so baby doesn’t crawl/walk out)
Those contractors are so amazing. Love how they talk and educate on the way, don’t get irritated by asking or telling your viewpoint, and clean everything before leaving. Hat off to such amazing professionals.
I know your youtube page is about renovations but I just wanted to say you have amazing hair, so beautiful! You've probably heard if so many times before but I just wanted to let you know :D
So I’m glad you clarified that this was the same contractor that Drew used. But I had to ask does he feel intimidated by the two of you? Because basically the two of you are the designers and you both know what you want you both have a vision, you both have the resources and the knowledge to present what you want unlike the common people that have an idea of what we want, but when it comes to talking to a contractor they change it all up and maybe in the end we end up happy, maybe in the end we end up unhappy either way we had to live with us. The contractor says she knows! What I want to know is does your contractor feel intimidated by your knowledge you need to do a podcast about that since both of you have worked with him both of you have totally different designs. I would love to know, what your contractor thinks of you too and how comfortable he was with making decisions or changing your design or telling you your design needed to change.
