Michael and Naomi had great chemistry together and she still supports him to this day which unfortunately can't be said for a lot of people in his life
“In The Closet” ~ Is a song by American recording artist Michael Jackson. It was released on April 9, 1992, as the third single from his eighth studio album, “Dangerous” (1991). The song was written and produced by Michael Jackson and Teddy Riley. The song isn’t about homosexuality it’s actually about those aspects of life one wants to keep it to himself or herself. Here it refers to sexuality. The woman here is desperately attracted to the man and she wants him. The man too is equally attracted- he can't avoid her as desire is burning in him. But he wants to keep whatever that happens between them to themselves. He doesn't want the world to know about it while the woman seems to be not so bothered about the world. If this is to relate to Michael Jackson's personal life, all we can conclude is that he wanted his privacy. He preferred not to talk to/in the public about his love relationships to the world- fair enough and very much rightfully so. Jackson originally intended to have Madonna feature on the track, and took her out for dinner three times in early 1991. On the failed collaboration, Madonna commented saying quote: “I think all he wanted was a provocative title, and ultimately he didn’t want the content of the song to live up to the title”. Engineer Rob Disner recalls approaching Michael after the meetings: “When I asked Michael later about her visit he said that she ‘scared’ him,” Madonna was replaced by Princess Stephanie of Monaco, who used her seductive speaking voice in lieu of Madonna-esque vocals. The song's female vocal was originally labeled "Mystery Girl" but was later revealed to be Princess Stéphanie of Monaco. The sepia colored music video was directed by Herb Ritts and features Jackson performing sensual dance routines with supermodel Naomi Campbell. The spoken vocals by Princess Stéphanie of Monaco were re-recorded by Campbell for the music video. The short film was shot in late March 1992 in Salton Sea, California and premiered on Fox,BET etc. in April 23, 1992. (MJ is a pure genius I love this Short Film MJ knew how to be sexy yet still keep the artistic integrity/esthetic of the Music Video MJ knew it had to have a balance this Song & Short Film is a masterpiece Long Live The King Of Music Forever! Michael Joseph Jackson🙌🏽👑❤️🔥🌟💯Also I want it to be known that MJ not being a Jehovah’s Witness anymore around this time made a huge difference not just breaking away from Quincy Jones it allowed MJ to be more cutting edge and raunchy with his art but MJ always had full control of his Art it’s just certain aspects and circumstances that happened from Off The Wall Era onwards helped him to take his Art/Career exactly where he wanted it to eventually be which I’m happy about he ultimately was able to accomplish)
I really like how you continue to introduce more Michael Jackson into your wife’s life. And she accepts it and is excited about each release. You guys are a great team.
"In the closet" is my favourite MJ song!❤ The beat is beyond amazing and it's very catchy. And I love the lyrics too, written very tastefully. The video is iconic! It's very artsy, very minimalistic, but also very sexy. MJ's look in this video is my favorite MJ look, so sexy, love it! 😍And as somebody mentioned before "only MJ can make royalty talk dirty on camera".😂Princess Straphanie's part is also on point and I love it, it gives very nice touch to the song. To me, this song is pure perfection! ❤10/10 for sure! Can't wait for your reaction of "In the closet" Acapella version! It's fire! 💥
YES! I came here just to watch Honeys reaction to this and I wasn't disappointed lol 😂. I was hoping she'd fall over in her chair 🤣 MJ can pull off sexy but still graceful, never vulgar
Finally! This is one of my favorite videos, tied with Smooth Criminal. Loved Honey's reaction - I think many of us would have loved to be Naomi Campbell in this video - lol. She still speaks very highly of MJ - she even spoke of her experience with him when she had Paris Jackson on her "No Filter" show on youtube. This is such a great video, especially his dance break down at the end. Love it!
I can see the POV from both Madonna's and MJ's sides. And I understand, cuz Madonna was something else and that was her image and MJ was always a class act, and he wanted to keep that class in this video as well. So, idk this can be considered as a creative difference. And he and Princess Stephanie still maintained a good relationship, and Naomi rides for her man MJ to this day, she never misses out on an opportunity to share her experience with MJ.
I love MJ's beauty and subtleness to his video of this very raw and lustful song. He added beauty and class to it! But, still added that 🔥🔥🔥 MJ... is always so smooth and respectful. I'm happy they kept a meaningful relationship right until the end!
This song shows how intelligent Michael is. If any other artist had done this song it would've been nasty and disgusted but Michael turned this kind of song into a pure masterpiece. And I'm so glad Madonna isn't in it. If she was in this song, it would have definitely ruined the beautiful feeling of this song. I respect her work and her artistry, but I hate her character so much, she wanted to completely change Michael's character to her own liking, even cut his iconic long hair, which is truly outrageous. Madonna 🗑😑 And guys, I know you both react to the live performances after you finish all the songs, but hey, I can't wait for your reactions to the live performances, because we all know MJ is a beast on stage.😌🙌🏽🔥 I'm so excited for those beautiful moments. *Have a great day! Stay Safe!* ❤ ❤
@@for-house-stark Yes my friend, he's way more successful than her, compared to his success she doesn't even come close to MJ success. It's been 13 years since MJ passed away and still no one has reached his level of success. This is a raw truth accepted by the whole world.
They say react to the Acapella version.. if you get embarrassed easily, don’t.😂😂 IT'S A TRAP! 😭 But if you’re gonna do it, keep my Comment in Mind because it’s WILD.🤣 Blenda and her comments are so relatable!! 😂 & there was some debate on set whether Naomi should touch Michael even more. The director wanted her to touch him more but Michael didn’t want to and at one point was even pissed. Glad everything worked out well at the end lol because I NEED THIS SONG and MV IN MY LIFE!
Hi honey & brown. Thanks soooo much for this reaction video. Finally honey - I knew you would love it 🥰🥰 I kind of had to let it sink in when I first saw the video too. But like brown says its Michael Jackson and he is so talented in his performance and dancing. He treats Naomi with so much respect - you see it - no matter how much she was a little aggressive - he keeps his distance as they moved together -- Michael knew how make it look good - not raunchy - but sexy at the same time. I'm sure there are other takes from the shoot and I've seen them in some videos as they rehearsed and played off the moments - sometimes just playing around - Naomi shooting him with a water gun 😍😍. Michael had a lot of fun making the video I'm certain of that. The song is so awesome and sensuous at the same time. Many thought at first it was Madonna in the female vocals - it kept everyone guessing. I found out later it was Princess Stephanie of Monaco. Good for her - she was perfect and Michael was smart not to use Madonna - she would have definitely trashed his creation. Michael wrote real poetic phrases - Stephanie did her part so beautifully - as he did with his whispering vocals makes MJ even sexier. Yeah Michael ♥♥ Glad you finally did this reaction video - it was so long in coming but worth the wait. I love your two reactions. Thank you so much you guys. Sorry I've been really busy with family member hospitalization. I actually watched this last night after getting home but was so exhausted - there was no way I could comment. So I watched again today and here you are. I love you two - you are so great the way you present our dear Michael and his music. Love how you presented this video and the song and your comments. Its so refreshing. I've seen this video so many times. But its so different when you show it with your intro and reaction discussion. I have not asked for a reaction but I wonder if you guys would do an older song of Michael's "Happy" for me - its would really be nice. Michael sang it on his solo albums and performed during early Jackson 5 performances. This is how I uploaded it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UOwq4PMiG9w.html God bless you both and keep you well. Looking forward to the next reaction. 🥰🥰♥♥🙏🙏 MJ is forever King of Pop and forever innocent 🙏🙏🥰🥰♥♥
Sorry for the late reply. Awww, is everything OK with your family member? We're so sorry to hear that. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. MJ always had class and sophistication. And it illuminates throughout this video and song. It's a wonderment and raw song! But, MJ still shows what a gentlemen he is. And I love that Naomi Campbell was so playful and real with him. I think that's what MJ needed. Someone to just be real and make him feel good! Thank you so much for your comment! And I checked out your video... loved it! Thank you!
@@honey.brown.nerdrealm Hey guys thank you so much for your prayers. It was my husband who was hospitalized - he was finally discharged but he is still recovering - getting back to his health 🥰🥰 Have not been editing for a while but will be back with a new video soon. Thanks so much for checking out "Happy" 😍😍. God bless you two 🙏🙏 and stay well and safe 🥰🥰
First of all I love your channel and reactions I was fortunate to not only see Michael perform live as part of his History tour when he came to Australia but also I was on stage with Michael as part of his Earth Song performance, my niece was also in the concert she was only little at the time and she was in the heal the world segment. I remember she was meant to go to the front of the stage and then turn around and go towards the back but being so small she just froze and so Michael went and took her by the hand and lead her off. I would love to see you both react to one of the interviews that Michael did, either the ebony jet one or the Oprah Winfrey one as we really get to know the real Michael with these. Keep up the great work. 🙂
Oh wow! Are you serious?! That is so charming and beautiful to hear. Thank you so much for sharing that with us! Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment. We truly appreciate it 😃 And we will definitely add those interviews in the future. Thank you so much for the recommendation!
Wonderful reaction! Love, love, love the Dangerous era and the music is so innovative! Looking through your playlist, it looks like you haven't watched much from Bad yet, right? I cannot WAIT for you to get to Bad. Michael wrote 9/11 songs on the album and I think he had 8 short films for it? Honey's reactions to Come Together and Dirty Diana videos should be amazing! 🥵 😂 Also The Way You Make Me Feel and Smooth Criminal and...sigh. Bad era is something else.
MJ is ‘class’ all the way…..he doesn’t hv to make trashy and provocative videos like Madonna. MJ is a true icon and the King of Pop. He looks soooo smooooth & so easy in the eyes🤩🤔🫣 Luv his hair and his clothes; so sleek. 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾♥️
MJ is the epitome of what a true gentlemen is! Even though he can be cheeky at times 😜😎 Thank you for always watching our videos and leaving a comment! We both love you a lot!
@@honey.brown.nerdrealm HIII , when are we getting more MJ vids ?! the community misses you & it’s kinda sad cs I just started watching and I have to go back reminisce ! all love !❤️🥰
Herb Ritts directed this video for in the closet. Ritts, who died of AIDS in 2002, was a fashion photographer who also directed steamy commercials for Victoria's Secret and Calvin Klein. He directed the famous video for "Wicked Game" by Chris Issak.
@@honey.brown.nerdrealm he certainly did and thank you so much for your channel and all the hard work. What makes your channel so much better than the other reaction channels is that you actually have a discussion about it. I love that 😊
I feel like this song has a lot of layers to it, it’s not just a regular song about sex… he put it in a beautiful and elegant way! What a poet! 😍🔥 Also this music video! 🥵🤣😭 What more can you say lol?! PS: Listen to this, then listen to WAP by Meg & Cardi and you’ll hear a SIGNIFICANT difference! 🤣😭
Not you being annoyed with Naomi’s (models)presence. Micheal asked Naomi to be there. She turned him down originally for runway work and he had to pay her for the time she missed. So Micheal and the director are the reason your seeing “too much Naomi”.
Love this song!!! Teddy Riley said Michael came up with this , he knew exactly what he wanted this to sound like I just added a few key elements in a 2018 interview. :) by the way love the chucky shirt 🎃
@@honey.brown.nerdrealm You gotta end the Dangerous Era on that concert and I wanna send u that in full 4K quality definitely don’t want it on MJ’s official page it’s in below average quality
The song and video is great as is, but just imagine if Michael and Madonna could have put their creative differences aside and sung this together. Picture it, Madonna as Naomi and them signing the song back and fourth to each other, then the chorus together!
@@honey.brown.nerdrealm there's even more😂😂, then madonna went and wrote some mean things about Michael in the press just because he rejected her after that he called her a nasty witch 😂😂😂, but I have some respect for madonna now cuz she always defended Michael till his death, by the way are you guys excited for thriller 40 which is coming out next month??
@@raiden8991 Glad there wasn't any big beef between them. And love her respect for MJ! And a big YES! Very excited for the anniversary Thriller album! 40 years! Wow! And it still holds up!
I know you've been showing her the whole Dangerous album but I gotta say if you're introducing Michael Jackson to someone, you gotta go Jackson 5, Off The Wall, Thriller, and Bad first (doesn't have to be that specific order). Anything from Dangerous would be after that except maybe Remember The Time. I know you've done a couple videos from earleir MJ but there's so much more to show to get someone immersed in MJ before the lesser known tracks on Dangerous. It looks like you guys are going backwards with MJ's albums and I can understand doing it different but I feel like for someone to be introduced to MJ, they should get the full MJ experience with his greatest/classics for their first impression which would be J5 to Bad. Great reactions though.
Interesting fact, while recording the video Naomi tried to find out is Michael g*y or not,and her comment after recording was finally done she said that when she was trying to do smth with him he was laughing and that all
Can you react to dirty diana by mj?? also if you dont mind me asking can you react to mjs ebony jet interview from 1987 or his unauthorized interview from 1983 , itd be really cool if so.
Love the username! He was one of our favorite characters in season 4! And yes, we will add those to future videos! Thank you for the comment and recommendation!
@@honey.brown.nerdrealm i used watched their chanel when they started it and most of their stuff was disappointing from the beginning. I would say their interview compilations (which they don't narrate) are pretty good. If you want something good about Dangerous I suggest Susan Fast: Dangerous from the 22 series. It's a book, and I think there's a podcast with her on a yt chanel, can't recall which one though.
Ur wife is talking like a jealous wife that caught her husband cheating & goes after d lady instead of her man .The video is all about Naomi, that is why he went 4 Naomi. But I understand her plight.
Yeah. I'm glad they didn't go with her in the end. After hearing what she wanted to change about the song and video. Would've taken away the beauty of what we got.
Did you have baby boy love the barkowski family from lpswich ma 01938 I love you doing Michael Jackson you should do superfy sister the the blood on the dance floor I went to see your wife face.😊😊😊😊😊😊
