I used a bronzer that was too orange on me by mixing in a light pink-toned blush (similar to the Vieve blush colour) and some face powder, it neutralised and lightened it perfectly.
With Vitamin C the packaging is super important because once it oxidizes, the serum loses a lot of its effectiveness. So you want to look for opaque packaging and try to avoid dropper applicators. Naturium makes a great Vitamin C with reliable packaging and it's not expensive
Is there any reason we can’t treat Kibbe types like Kitchener essences, in that we could combine them if it makes sense? Like, you could be 50% FN and 50% SD? Because surely no one fits perfectly into one type, and I find the height restrictions really limiting. For example, I’m pretty sure I’m a soft dramatic (yang bone structure - 5’7, very long arms and legs and long, thin, hands and feet, large bust, mixed facial features, but yin flesh - very round and fleshy, soft cheeks etc). The only part that doesn’t fit is that my shoulders and rib cage are very narrow. My girlfriend is the same height as me. She is definitely not a natural because she has a very round hourglass shape, and not dramatic because other than her height she is entirely yin. And yet there is no way she is the same type as me - she has much more yin everywhere, shorter, rounded arms, legs, hands and feet, rounder face etc. If it wasn’t for her height I would say she was a pure romantic. To me it would just make more sense to combine them but idk if there’s some point that I’m missing
So sorry you had Covid. Great empties. I have so many this month. Used up: LaRoche Posay Toleriane cleansing milk 400ml and a travel size one, Bioderma sebium clear cleansing gel, beauty of Joseon sunscreen, SVR sebium moisturiser sample, cerave foaming cleanser sample, rare beauty under eye brightener. Still will be using up this month: Bioderma pigmentbio night renewer moisturiser, Laroche Posay hydraphase legere moisturiser and eye cream. Hopeful to use up: maybelline super stay skin tint, NYX fat oil in missed call.
So sorry to hear you’ve had COVID…hope you’re feeling back to normal soon! Your hair looks very pretty today. I love the SPF! One of my favorites, too. No issues under makeup for me. The Murad Vit C is one of my favorites, but pricey…$88 here in the US. I always wait for a sale to purchase. Nice empties. TFS…Lorie 😊
I just had an analysis done by Ellie-Jean, and she told me I was a Soft Dramatic. Now I'm trying to absorb as much information as possible. I was really surprised because I'm not very tall, and I thought the Dramatics category would be the last on the list for me. Clearly, I'm a complete novice. 😫
I hope my comment genuinely helps. I don’t think you are soft dramatic and here’s why. When looking at body types start with the basics. It’s a combination of bone structure and flesh. Bone structure will be sharp, blunt, or soft. Flesh will be dry, athletic, or soft. You have to fit the combination of these things to be a certain body type. The bone structure of a dramatic is undeniably sharp. Think sharpness in the bones of the cheeks, nose, collarbone, wrists, hands, etc. So a SD has sharp bones with soft flesh on top. This is the first test and that’s where it doesn’t quite fit for you. You have very blunt bones. Not only in your face but also in your body. It lacks sharpness. And yes you can slightly fit into hours glass and long vertical but these are very long vertical and very hourglass women. Yours is more on the moderate side. So with blunt bones, soft flesh, moderate to tall vertical, and slight hourglass you don’t fit SD. That being said you look beautiful and I find that we can borrow concepts from body types that are close even if they aren’t fully us.
I like the SD idea on you and understand why the FN could feel off. I have the same battle as you and also think I’m best in SD. One thing I’ve found that works for me do I don’t feel like I’m trying to go to prom ever day I’d to wear a lot of one color outfits with a crisp tailored shirt over. This helps me feel pulled together, strong and also professional for work.
I like the Spring colour makeup more on you, the autumn video makeup just doesn’t look the freshest on you. The spring makes me look at your features, your eyes pop.
Thank you so much for this video. I have had my colors done with HOC. I am looking at Curate Your Style for more detailed information. You video has really helped me with this decision. It sounds like it is exactly what I am looking for.
Just found your channel, I usually watch all the videos from the very beginning ❤ I love watching panning journeys, especially someone's with a British accent. Thank you!
I've got menopause sweaty potato stage of life and am concerned about my foundations. I hadn't been able to wear them for months, and am praying that my body calms down a bit. I'm a hot potato! 😥
I thought the graphic tee with a front tuck looked great but I understand how you feel about it not being your personal style. I have not ever felt comfortable wearing a graphic tee with anything other than gym clothes or jeans. Also, have you ever heard of Color Alliance color analysis and their Signia styling system? I stumbled across this new rabbit hole and am very intrigued! It is owned by Color Me Beautiful (the US one.) Check out Colorful Style by Dana on RU-vid for some short videos that explain it. I think I might be springing for this.
I loved the skirt on you. If you're not comfortable with that particular T-shirt, consider going on a hunt for a graphic T with rust in it. But do consider keeping it.
I really liked your graphic t with the rust coloured skirt. One suggestion for you is to add either a rust blazer or a cardigan over the outfit. Then you can wear it in the fall too.😁
Not necessarily, you can still wear your neutrals! Or any colour tbh, colour analysis isn’t about what you should or shouldn’t wear, just your best shades 😊
I dont understand these sub seasons. My house of color stylist put me at "mid summer" what is that? No one talks about mid. Also I absolutely hate all of the colors I was styled with none of them popped out as wow to me and I'd rather die than be forced to wear the absolutely hideous colors in my palette!
Oh I don’t know what mid summer is! Do any of your wow colours match the colours in the sub seasons I spoke about? Have you had any compliments when wearing your new colours? If you don’t like them then there’s absolutely no obligation to wear them, only wear what you like to wear!
