This is my first ever attempt at spraying anything.
Not ideal on the roadside but neighbours was aware and fine with it and dust was put on cars parked close .
I used 240 grit sand paper to key the whole van.
I washed the van after.
I treated and primered any rust etc
the rust treatment I used was Kurust.
Once I taped the whole van I wiped every panel down with thinners to clean from any contamination.
I used 5 litres of Military paint and 1 litre of thinners mixed at a 4:1 ratio.
The colour is Cobalt blue.
Finish - Satin.
The paint sprayer is a Parkside 450 watt cheap and cheerful electric airless spray gun, I have no prior experience to compare it but it's save me lots of money doing it myself.
It was £30 from Lidl.
complete job cost me £100 all in.
My neighbours were aware days before and there were no cars around me whilst painting.
tips - keep the gun moving, DO NOT try cut corners on prep.
Take time taping.
A big thanks to -
