And their copy zetor ideas too like air brakes water diesel seperater glass in the new holland tractors same glass as zetors tractors use on their zetor diesel systems
The massey men and ford men and john deere men my thinking is they were jeoulous of zetor how ahead they were from them and thats what happened too in the uk jeoulous of zetor of how good they were for the time and then all other tractor makers copy zetor ideas like air seat air compressor air brakes and cab on rubber mounds well cabs today are on spring shocks i have zetor tractors myself and i am very happy with them if i had lots of money i would buy new zetors tomorrow
Mighty stuff Alan, did most of my early driving on a 4911, My late Father ran a 6748 and a 6945 in the bog, and ran a 8045 and a 14145 for My Brother in law in the 90's loved them, brakes could be a weak point, but they would pull for Ireland, will watch part 2 now, Thank You👌👍🙏😎
Good video Alan, nothing wrong with the zetors great reliable work horses have a 10541 proxima plus mighty machine,i think it depends on what the local dealer in an area is,is what you will see locally, eg massey ferguson, newholland, zetor
Interesting how popular Zetor is in Ireland, just like Fiat. Zetor offers good range but it lacks dealership network here in Australia to gain foot hold of the market. But my experience on dairy farm i was impressed, one day i will get one n restore it, also go to Czech Republic to factory/museum. Alan if want info on Australian IH or combines we call them headers here in Australia LOL i got plenty info especially CAT version of Claas, Gleaner, MF Australia.
Thanks for that..yes, I spent some time in the Australian wheat belt in Southern WA, so I became familiar with the lingo. Any info is much appreciated.. Thanks 👍
Still see alot of the older zetors in West limerick, thought they were very good tractors but some people really knocked them, had a 4911 and it would out work a mf 135 anyday of the weak.
Great video , my grandfather had all David brown tractors and when I took over the family orchard I bought a new 1390 4wd and still use it. I still have the last David brown that my grandfather bought which was a 880 implematic 3 cylinder the plan is to restore it one day. In Australia the 90 series were marketed as Case tractors .
Same Laser 110 best tractor I've ever seen to buck rake silage. they would climb the wall of a house. I recall a Farmers Journal article of a guy in Monaghan/Meath somewhere up that side, he had a Titan190 reverse drive on a buckrake pushing up silage from a self-propelled. Anyone else recall seeing that ?
I had a 955 header as we call them here in Australia. It was a totally different to the US built 7720 and nowhere near as good a machine with a lot less capacity. The only thing it had in common was the front which was a 22 ft 200 series front adapted by JD here in Australia for our conditions. Every one including me really wanted a 7720 or 8820 but the European machines were cheaper. Generally any US built JD will be tougher than the European counterparts.
I drove a same laser 110 and 150 for a contractor in the 90s and liked driving them and they were reliable but he bought an Antares 130 which I didn’t like and it gave enough trouble and also he had a Titan 190 which was also very troublesome .
