Bull crap, the environment, save gas maybe. But how about wear and tare on your starter, and not to mention that motor wear and tare, everytime an engine stops the oil pump stops working and all the oil drains down to the oil pan , it has to repush the oil back up to the lifters, the cam shafts, and lubricant the springs to the valve stems.
👎👎👎Unfortunately I got 3 messages on dashboard, it disconnects the whole bundle together: AWD Anti.collesion break sys. Lane assistance Very stupid suggestions👎 I had to disconnect yhe batary to get rid of all these messages plus "Engin light" TOO!!!👎👎👎
@@VantasticPacifica no Bunnings is like .... dang mental blank hahaha. It is a big hardware chain. Home Depot! I mentioned what it is called an Bunnings in case another Australian wanted to know.
With that plug unplugged, does it go through state inspection without any flags popping up after they plug into the car with their equipment? Curious to know if that will make you fail state inspection. LMK

My wife hates this on her 2015 Malibu LS Fleet, I don’t have a button or the added battery module. The green rubber in the connector is the “Weather Pack” seal. Place some dielectric grease if left off. It’s sold at home improvement stores in automotive. Never leave the hood partially open, but if that cancels the stop-start system, I will remove it and tape it down with a dab of weather strip adhesive on the end. It won’t unravel.
Thank You. Very well explaind what is a stard/stop function ( I did not know! ) and solution well filmed with super close ups. I can practice on my Mom's Jeep,,,
@VantasticPacifica You did write to skip ahead for those not needing the how it works!,, also when not quick enough I put the video at high speed. Since I knew zero about start stop,, your video was very helpful. I disconnected the wire on my Mom's jeep but I saw your video update now (not finished viewing). You're installing a device instead of a disconnect. Should I now be worried about having disconnected the wire from battery? Is there really something else connected to that wire? Thanks again!
@@projet2907 I drove around with that wire disconnected for a year without any noticeable issues. But you know what they say, some results may vary. Disconnecting that wire it's probably not the best way to deactivate start-stop but it's the cheapest and quickest. But if you can afford it, I highly recommend Auto Start Stop Eliminator. Are you still traveling with your Pacifica ? I’ve been binge watching your videos ! 🙂 I just purchased a 2020 Pacifica with just 29k miles on it. I plan on making it a camper van as you have. See you on the highways !
Yep, I'm still out there whenever I can. I'm trying to save up some gas money at the moment. Meanwhile I'm working on a new campervan configuration. Stay tuned😁 But congrats on your new van! Let me know when you finish your build. We can make a tour video.
Yes, in my van, the rear power outlet near the tailgate stays "hot" when the engine is off. The Dometic fridge I use sips energy and will run for about 3 days in moderate weather without starting the car. Also, it automatically shuts off if the car's voltage goes too low.
Great idea ! I unwittingly bought a Dodge Gr Caravan with sliding doors that have fixed (non-opening) windows. I travel solo, and I need a solution to exhaust the heat, other than running my AC nonstop. I talked to an RV dealer about installing a roof top vent with a fan, but the cost is prohibitive. I'd thought about a removeable fan for the front passenger window with an alternate battery, but the curve of the window poses a problem for a frame. I can cover the windows to reduce the heat coming in, but I really need a way to exhaust the hot air from the vehicle to make it more comfortable. I'd love to hear any ideas you have, or from your readers. Thank you ! 😓 😰 😅
Perhaps there is a connector/adapter extender so there is no struggle with the original connector for future headlight replacements? Going to look around and see if this exists.
how did you make the sink-how did you fit the sink in???????? What supplies did you use? It's not easy for someone who has never done it before. I looked up simple diy instructions for a sink in a car and got your video as a choice... Help thank
Unfortunately, I don't have a step by step video on how to make that sink. But here's a link to a video I made for someone who had some questions. It goes into more detail how the sync works. Hope it helps. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z5zvfy4jWQ8.htmlsi=fwYaIHU0ufMmeCXN
If someone sends you a product, they are not sponsoring you. They have to pay you for editing and producing the video. Hopefully you grow so that they do pay for your videos.
It's only a matter of time when a gazillion $ class action lawsuit will be filed proving with a dashcam vid, that the car did not respond in time i.e. there was a delay: and a massive accident happened. Of course, ALL car companies will be named in the lawsuit for this dangerous (and expensive - in the long run) feature.
The van has a remote start feature, so you can start the motor without even being inside the vehicle, but once your inside driving, have the van use a program to shut off at a stop sign? DUMB!
can you help pls my range rover 2017 its not starting, was working fine i forgot my key fob for 6h on the seat after i found it tried to start it it wouldn’t start, can it it be starter motor or any clue pls thank you
@@VantasticPacifica i put a new battery last night left it, went today started first time off the car started again, tried third time after it was running for 5min will not start, ? any idea can it be starter or electrical problem
I was just having this conversation with a dealer who said you cannot deactivate it. I’m looking at buying a new Lexus RX350. I hate this feature and a friend has gone through batteries because of it.
That depends. Are these powered seats? If so, there's a couple things you could try. First make sure nothing is blocking the foot flap that pops out automatically in chair mode. This could be things like carpets or rubber floor mats. If that's clear then try holding the Stow button for a few extra seconds before trying the Normal button. That usually works for me. I think that helps it to finish cycling through the modes or something. If your seat isn't even trying to unfold and is making no noise at all, it could be unplugged. Check the connection. This is not likely to be the cause if you've never removed the seat. And you may as well check the fuses while your at it but I'm not hopeful about that either if the other seat still works. If none of that helps, you can actually manually unflold the seat. Just grab it and pull it open. It'll take a little muscle but it will slowly open. That's all I can think of for now.
