Born to travel, adventure seeker & serenity learner. Traveling around the world by all sorts of means car, motorbike, boat, by foot, hitching or even spacecraft (if it does the job). Many would say risk taker and true wanderer. I would say- I push the boundaries and refuse the limitations in order to truly discover and experience. On the channel you will also find real, raw stories of inspiring & mindful people who have courage to think for themselves not blindly comply with the crowd. Shot out to the rebels! Walk with me!
yes yes, you can throw a knife in the air and catch it with your teeth a few times but sooner or later its going to land in your eye. Joburg is dangerous af, don't take it lightly.
I have never seen anyone drive a motorbike in Johannesburg CBD. I am a licenced firearm owner and when in Johannesburg CBD and Pretoria CBD I am always on survival mode
I was on alert all the time. For this reason I went on the motorbike to up and duck😅 for me it was just a moment in the wild urban jungle. How the people live there permanently?😮
And do you actually walk the CBD or drive by car? Anyhow, is a car not a false sense of security on the other hand considering the number of highjackings?
@@PandoraPath I do both. I travel to the CBDs on public transport and walk the streets if I am going there to do something as to avoid parking admin. But if I am going through the CBD, I just drive my car. The crime issue is actually unstoppable because I believe its all about bad luck and bad timing. The only time I have ever been successfully robbed in my life was in Thailand. In South Africa I have never been successfully robbed, hijacked or broken into at home. But I am fully aware of the crime issues and situations. In Cape Town CBD my friends and I apprehended a group of pick-pocketers. So its just bad luck in my view, and somehow I think the criminals can sense who they can mess with, just a hunch though
The Government of the ANC did this they let the illegal migrants hijack the city and right now they are taking all the big citys in south africa , there is no law because they feel like they helped us during apartheid times and that's the excuse to destroy south afica , when south africans get tierd of seeing all this and fight back they are called xenophobic.... so our woman are marring foreigns for money and end up being abused , human trafficking , drugs , hijacking houses cars ect its now hard to build south africa u ask ur self in the next 20 years how will it be ? Normal south africans still have hope things will get better but to be honest things are worser then they acknowledge...
Been a solo traveller to La Gomera for the past five years. I tend to go November/December, just to get some warm sunshine to brake up the long Winter months
My favourite island. Very welcoming for solo travellers. So easy to run casual conversations with strangers on the streets. Not many places like that in the "so called" first world. Enjoy your winters.
You're not earning "maybe four time less" if you can afford all the things you have listed. By so-called purchasing power parity you earn at least the same.
We like the relaxed vibe of your video. As frequent visitors of both Gran Canaria & Tenerife we are eager to explore further and are planning a couple of months in the Canaries exploring. La Gomera looks less commercial and beautiful. Definitely on our list of islands to visit. As Brits we're not bothered what nationality the majority of visitors are, happy to mix and explore different languages & cultures. We are hoping to bring our motorcycles to explore and love the mountain roads. Appreciate the work you've put into your video and will check out your other content. Best wishes Richard and Carol
Appreciate your comment. You guys are also travel creators, so you exactly know how much effort and time goes into every video. I highly recommend La Gomera. It is possibly the best island for a relaxed, but yet an adventurous life. Everyone is welcomed there and there is no real aversion between people. I just cited what I found in the internet, though, it was quite funny. You are gonna have a blast there. And for the motorcycle touring ... just a perfect riding conditions and so safe.
i was just there for a month. seen the local buses filling up and the locals unable to get on, so the statement about hippies and germans has an element of truth. If you go there just be mindful for the local people. its a wonderful place.
It is a wonderful place indeed. And the vibe, the free spirit, the freedom of living as if there was no tomorrow... Is truly one of a kind culture. My favourite island
So this gal got a job first illegally (her "visa" when she first arrived was not a visa that allowed her to work), and then after securing a job(s) of a certain amount of pay, she was able to transition to a proper visa to work. (OK, maybe the law allows her to work without a visa so long as she transitions quickly enough?) While I could see how the cost of living in coastal CA is ridiculous, there are plenty of places in the USA that have affordable housing and where jobs are plentiful (at least now, with the worker shortage), and she'd probably have more extra cash per month, especially since she'd be eligible for lots of benefits for free. From my experience in Warsaw, I can definitively say that the ratio of cost-of-housing to pay is quite high (local folks tell me this all the time).
Thanks for commenting, appreciate it. She had three jobs at some point in San Diego and it was hard for her to make ends meet. Not sure if she would have time for the forth job to have some extra cash...
That's right. That was the time when in the Canaries everyone was obliged to wear them. And to my surprise all the people complied. Not so many rebels over this side😅
Well spotted. I have already forgotten about this crazy time. Until today I see people in masks occasionally and wonder what's the reasoning behind it?
My Goddddd, how brave she is!!! I am living abroad 18 years and want to come back to Poland..but have thousand questionssss, what if, pros and cons. WHAT A Beautiful soul😊
Welcome to the club. I'm also an overthinker, trying to rationalize everything. Until I get to the wall and then jump over the edge. I had my fair share of U-turns...
Not at all. We have been really lucky with the weather the whole trip until Cape Town. We were sleeping in the tent most of the time, so such weather conditions made the whole roadtrip far more pleasant. Not to even mention that riding a motorcycle in the rain sucks.
Your comments are the best reward for my work. It is a lot of effort put into making those videos and I wish the viewers would comment more as a way of appreciation.
Fascinating video and thank you for making this. I doubt I will be visiting South Africa at this stage of my life. Your videos give a great vision as to what Johannesburg is like. More power to you for entering the areas that you do.
Thank you for your appreciation and leaving the trace in a form of comments. South Africa goes through a transformation right now. It is a difficult period and it will take a while before it will be a safe ground for the tourist to visit and for the people to live.
