Just a question though cause I am considering buying the motherboard to downsize a PC I have at home.. You did not manage to get the m.2 nvme drive working correct? does this mean that m.2 drives are of no use with this motherboard?
wow i literally bought the same board and almost same gpu and its being shipped right now talk about good timing lol running an i7 4790 as well. gonna be an incredible $250 machine thats gonna dunk on fools spending 1k and over just for the "brand name." i have no empathy for them jabronis that refuse to buy from aliexpress
First time watching your channel. I’m surprised you went for Huananzhi (pronounced as Wha-nan-jher or chir) components, its a pretty popular brand in China as they seem to reuse old chipset components pulled from recycling / dead boards. I owned an X79 and X99-TF motherboard from them and they are absolutely fantastic quality with their IO and offerings as well. I would strongly advise changing the 1660S to something else as I heard from a technician in China that there are common failures for most 1660S cards and repairing / resocketing them kinda makes the repair price for consumers not worth since the GPU would be fried with the memory for some reason.
Thanks and welcome! It's hard to tell what is quality and not as far as Chinese market motherboard brands go, but based on this board I would be confident in using Huananzhi boards in the future. It is very interesting to use recycled components in new boards.
@@Mr.Thermistor7228 Not a problem at all. I do plan to find another Huananzhi motherboard as another platform for one of my buddies here. Heck I might go into the Chinese used market for a mint condition one.
I have an e8400 With 2gb ddr2, i still need a dedicated GPU to play older ga But ofc i need more ram aswellmes like i wanted to play nfs u2 and desert storm on high settings
Would one of these be ok to install TrueNAS an make a server? I was also thinking on using cloudflare to assign it a domain so I can access it through SSH from outside the local network

did you have any issues installing windows 10? mine gets stuck on install of win 10 asking for a driver for a media device driver it wont find even from the drivers backup off the old mechanical hard drive/
Thought this video was showing how to set this up as an access point, but it was just a bunch of wasted time listening to rambling ..totally not useful
You can actually put a 4GB and 8GB stick off RAM together. Up to 8GB of the RAM will run in dual channel in your case (4GB on each stick) and if resources need more it will go into 12GB single channel
There is no Thermal Paste! Your CPU is going to burn! Thermally Conductive Paste Is needed otherwise temperatures will be VERY HIGH What the fuck is going on here?
damn, when i listen to you, i am sad, as i can understand after wathing few of your videos, i need to say, and i hope, it happened already, coz this video is 6 years old, that you really need to learn little bit mode about retro computing, that mistakes like bad cooler, e: drive for setup files of win installation, and already forgot, but in pentium 1 video you had also mistakes, it just hitting in an eyes... or ears... sorry, im verry happy, for content, but you really need to be better, so that you do not mislead people... EDIT: OMG how did you managed to kill a cd win win me installation, oh god, please no!!! EDIT 2: so how did you managed sound issue? 😁
