PLEASE READ BEFORE DOING VIDEOS...My Simple Steps has been created to help people in rehabilitation, whether it be a short term or long term condition, you will find videos ranging from exercises to useful day to day tips that my clients always ask! Your body is your responsibility, if you experience any pain please stop and consult your health care professional. Listen your body, learn what it can do, love it for what it can do rather than can't do and you will live well with it 🥰
I did these exercises before my 2nd breast surgery and it helped me so much. Very different to my 1st surgery where I didn't do them....even my surgeon commented on the difference....thank you Kate x
Hi, I hope it all goes well! When you are ready I run a scar therapy workshop with a wonderful charity to help with your recovery. Check out Penny Brohn UK and see the support you can get online ❤
Hi Gary, thank you for your comment. I wasn't very technical years ago, but I will see what I can do. You can do the section ones that have the names in the beginning of the video if that helps. I will try my best 😁
Hi Tokyo, sorry for my earlier reply I thought you meant that there was something going wrong technically! I am glad it is helping, there are lots of longer Tai Chi videos on RU-vid too, try a variety and see what suits you best. Also once you have the 18 movements in your head, practice slowing the breathing right down which in turn slows the movements down and becomes far more connected. This video is quite quick but the movements can last longer and be felt more deeply. Any questions, please just ask. Best wishes. Kate
@@MySimpleSteps Thank you. Your video was recommended by a psychologist helping me deal with Asperger's. I'll probably be able to stop watching and make it my own after a while.
@@kateoldham324 Hello, Kate. I just did it three consecutive times at the .75 speed for RU-vid settings. That accumulates to about thirty-three minutes. Thank you for the tip to get closer to how it should be done. The breathing connection part of it is now making a lot more sense. I can mimic and you make it clear. Take care, Seth
love the video. Very similar to the exercises I did in class. Any chance you could add the name of each movement like you did with the seated Tai Chi video please. Just to remind us of the movements.
Hi, I can send you a description of each move by email if you like, or the easy learn in 3 movements at a time videos may be useful. If I find a way to do it on the video I will try! Hope that helps. 🙏

Am forever grateful to Dr Abumere on youtube for curing my HSV with his natural herbs.. www.drabumereherbalremedy.home.blog
As with all exercise, please listen to your body and stop if there is any pain. You can do these exercises seated as well as standing, just as effective! Any questions please contact me!!
As with all exercise, listen to your body and only do the movements you are capable of. These exercises are equally effective seated as standing. Any questions please ask! Music is by iChill Music Factory- Reiki Journey.
Thanks so much for sharing Kate! These are fabulous exercises and such a positive message about listening to your body while really focusing on flexibility and enjoying the movement prior to surgery. This helps build up muscles and range of movement, so that people know what they''re can work towards in the post-operative rehabilitation period. I look forward to sharing these widely with anyone who is approaching breast surgery! Dr Catherine Zollman, Medical Director, Penny Brohn UK and Bristol GP
Thank you for this video I have suffered chronic pain and fatigue for over 30 years and although I find any exercise a challenge I will definitely keep practising these exercises and hope for an improvement in my random fybro pains!
Hello... I’m recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia and possibly chronic fatigue and I’d like a follow -along full routine I can do every day. Do you have one?
Hi Alicia, there are 2 options on the video selection for you, there is a seated version for days when you have less energy and a standing one for days that you feel more energised. I hope you manage to find local support with the new diagnosis, my clients find the support groups really helpful. Best wishes. Kate
thank you so much. i have been diagnosed of fibromyalgia and i found this so helpful. i found this a little simpler than the seated ones which are a little non intuitive and take some time to get used to. but those videos are very good too.
Thanks for this video so much. I was once an apprentice teacher of a branch of Wu style with a 119-form, but I have found recent motivation to teach again for someone close to me who has fibro'. I am wondering if we could communicate about whether I could incorporate these movements into a syllabus I plan to create for them (just for variety in case other aspects of Wu prove unsuitable) or if you have any other wisdom or advice to share? Thanks again and hope you are well. :)
Hi, Thank you for watching and for your comment, I have qualified in the 18 movements of Shibashi, as shown in these videos. There are some fantastic colleges out there for learning this style of Tai Chi and therefore enabling you to teach with insurance for special conditions and working with the NHS and other health professionals. If you already have a qualification, then I shouldn't see any problem you using these movements with your friend. Hope everything goes well for both you and your friend. If you have any further queries please contact me on info@mysimplesteps.co.uk, where I will be happy to help.
